Let's say I'm a Unix admin, but I'm a failure and I don't know much. I feel like I could know more. But I don't know where to start to become better. I know all the basics of the operating system to a user level, but I don't feel like an admin.
What commands should I know for the daily basis work? If you work with Linux, what do you do usually? What's the hardest part of your job?
>>55657535
Grab a book in Linux Administration and stop being a faggot, ain't gonna google it for you.
>>55657535
>I an an admin of certain OS, so in order to become better at that OS I'm gonna learn stuff about a totally different kernel; also I'm a piece of shit that can't into Google
Linux is not Unix.
GNU's Not Unix.
Can we talk Sound Bars for a second?
I have a $200 budget and I'm not sure what I should go after. I'm looking at a Samsung 300Wat right now.

>I don't have money for a receiver.
then save up money
don't waste it on useless shit
What's with all these video card companies releasing new GPUs, and then not having any stock? We all ragged on Nvidia for paper launching, but event he RX480 can't be reliably found on newegg or amazon. If this was any other product, there would be outrage, but since this is a hobby product, the mainstream consumer is just patiently sitting on our hands, waiting for the gods of graphics rendering to hand us our midrange GPUS. This is absolutely unacceptable as a consumer, who expects a product to be available when said product has a launch date. Instead I'm sitting here a month later with money to spend on a new system, but cannot even give the company the money for their product, because it doesn't exist! To top it off, the RX480 has PCI-E problems, which from watching numerous tech reviewers, causes legitimate concern for system stability, which is a COLOSSAL issue that has been swept under the rug because 'muh price to performance ratio'. Who else is getting more disenfranchised with the tech industry?
>>55657183
>Not having stock
Imagine you bake all these fucking cakes and there's only handful of people who buy them?
Financially it would be a wiser choice to have a subscriber list of companies/people who want to order your shit.
AMD struggles financially and Nvidia doesent want to shell out the cards like they did with the 900-series, they're flooding fucking everywhere now.
Instead, if you want a gpu now, get some used one with a warranty or buy a current one on sale.
Sell it a month later for the same price, buy your preferred gpu when the hypewave has subsided
Today nothing is perfect in launch, either if you get AyyMD or Shillvidia, you're fucked regardless

You'll get one eventually if you get it at the right time
My best buy had a bunch of 1080s and 1070s at msrp

Should be 3600000, not 3600. It's in milliseconds.
Why is no one trying to stop out government from doing what ever the fuck it wills. Literally no one gets to stop it, instead people are worried about cops and who goes to the bathroom where. We live in an oligarchy that is taking away freedoms such as fire arms and certain internet access. Can anyone tell me why??
>>55656914
Nice phone
>>55656914
Let me tell you something about human nature. Convenience always trumps freedom for the vast majority of people including you and me.
>>55657020
Do you agree that something needs to happen though? I can't believe this has gotten as far as it has. When's the last time you weren't worried about bills or your health or how you are going to pay for college? That all needs to change and they can change it but they don't because it's convenient for them.
Need some audio advice /g/. Looking to use a new headset (Logitech G933) that supports multiple audio inputs at the same time, only problem is that apparently it can't adjust the volume of the 2nd source. Found a dirt cheap workaround but is there anything better than this?

Has anyone tried the Logitech K400 or similar products? Any recommendations?
it's overpriced. i'd only use it to play/pause a movie. get the microsoft one similar to this, it's cheaper and has no meme backlight
Yeah I use a K400+ when I use my TV computer. It's pretty good, didn't cost much but functions well.
I chose the K400+ because it has volume adjustment keys above the trackpad. If you want to adjust the volume make sure you have special keys for it, cheaper models don't have them.
>>55656424
I've used two (first one broke after about 3 years) that have a trackball rather than a trackpad.
Works fine for simple tasks like browsing or starting a video.
I consider buying pic related next.
Yoyoyo g-boi fags whaddaya use to listen to that sweet sweet tunes n shit yeah moddafucka

Hi /g/. I'm gonna be building a new pc this week and I found this windows 7 disc that came with the current pile of shit I use, and I was wondering if I could use this for the new pc. I wasn't sure if cyberpower uses specific drivers or if this includes anything other than the OS. I also still have the CD key that came with it and I didn't know if that ever expires or anything. Any help is appreciated.
>>55656147
The cd never expires. You can put it in a new pc if you want have fun my friend

I don't get it
My old wifi router at work took a shit so I replaced it with this one. Now my devices can connect to the network, but everything gets stuck "identifying IP) so I can't access internet.
I only have an Android and Chromecast to my dispose, can I use this to fix any issue? Or do I need a laptop or a techie?
IP conflicts; manually set the IP for each device.
>>55655164
I have, but it doesn't do anything.
Had to change my phone to static, then dns to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

Ask a 780ti owner how well that worked out for them.
