are "good" fans just memes or do they actually do something?
I have a define r5 and want to get new fans.
Currently have 2 stock fans (gp-14) at the front, a cooler master fan from my 212 evo at the back and a Dark Rock Pro 3 cooler for my 6600k 4.7ghz.
Getting a 1080 soon will a new fan help? or will I be fine.
If I should get new fans, what fans should I get and how should I position my fans?
>>56249376
Delta fans are good
Everything is a meme
>>56249394
this op
Depends if you want loud fans with good airflow or quiet fans with average airflow.
Sup Bros, I failed my damn security+ test... Got a 740. Passing is 900-740. I have a retake on Saturday but if I don't pass on Saturday I'll lose my $25hr job. Have a wife and 3 kids... What's the best material to study in the next 2 days?
Pic is the wife I don't wanna disappoint.
Sorry, meant to say 750 is passing...

Did the same with a e8500. It works well as an owncloud server. Might upgrade to something with AES-NI in the future though.

make a simple rock paper scissors game or the bird will stab you
>download rock paper scissor library
This is the only correct answer
Give us a reference implementation or I'll stab your homework.

Here you are. There's not much time left before the bird loses its temper!public class Rps {

public static void main() {
Random random = new Random();
Scanner scanner = new Scanner(System.in);
String input = "";
while (true) {
System.out.println("Type 0 for rock, 1 for paper, 2 for scissors, 3 to exit.");
int playerChoice = scanner.nextInt();
int computerChoice = random.nextInt(3);
if (playerChoice >= ROCK && playerChoice <= SCISSORS) {
int result = match(playerChoice, computerChoice);
switch (result) {

break;

case LOSS:

break;
}
}
if (playerChoice == 4) {
System.out.println("Exiting...");
break;
} else {
System.out.println("invalid input");
}
}
}

Guys, I bought a Sony Soundbar from Best Buy 6 months ago. It suddenly stopped working. Since I was a cheap ass, I didn't get the 2 year protection plan the retailer included.
Can I get in any trouble if I buy the same item (now with a warranty) wait a few days and then return the previously broken down item with the new item's warranty?
>>56249027
>buying the same item
>not just fixing the one you have for probably cheaper than buying the new thing
>>56249047
I technically wouldnt be "buying" anything, because the old one would be traded in instead of the new one. If anything, it would just be the 60 USD guarantee fee on the newly bought item to use on the older one.
>Best Buy
Are their drives really THAT bad?
in my experience, yes.
Join the lawsuit if you can.
I have a Seagate barracuda that I had for over a year. Haven't had any problems with it and it's quiet.

I moved into an apartment complex recently and one of its selling points it boasts is free Wi-Fi to all residents. However, it's open Wi-Fi with no encryption whatsoever.
I'm a university student who needs to do confidential stuff on a daily basis sometimes and am wondering what I can do.
I've been making do with HTTPS Everywhere, but I don't think this is enough. My university offers a VPN but I don't know if that's a viable option. The apartment does have an Ethernet port, but is connecting directly to the wall any more secure than just connecting to open Wi-Fi?
>>56248696
Lol yes
What a rude mother
Are you able to plug in your own router??
Hullo, /g/. I can't seem to find an article pertaining to the source of this error. When trying to run a monero miner (Wolf's in particular), I get the error that "Error -1 when calling clGetDeviceIDs for number of devices."
I've found that it's because my GPU (r9 290) isn't being recognized, but I can't seem to fix that. AMD's driver page doesn't seem very helpful and only allows for downloading a driver bundle of a certain update version. I've managed to download Catalyst 15.7 (Last edition the miner says its compatible for) but I'm pretty sure trying to find OpenCL2.0 is just resulting in reinstalling more AMD driver bundles, since all the searching on their website just leads me to the same driver page that doesn't allow you to select individual drivers.
Bump, if that even works here.
Yeah yeah tech support thing; I can't find documentation on how to fix it anywhere else and have yet to get a response anywhere else I asked.
Bumperoni for you op

>My dad goes to the local Best Buy to pick a TV I bought for him
>He's mistreated by the pickup center girl because he has a very limited english knowledge
>Called me to fill a complaint because even if he got the TV, he was discriminated
>Want to fill a complaint but a the same time don't want someone to lose their job because they had a bad day.
What is the correct thing to do, /g/?
Let's say your dad is German and his English is very weak, and he gets mistreated for that. What would you do?
>>56248649
File the complaint. The customer is the lifeblood of the company.
>>56248649
The last I time I filed a complaint anywhere, a hot girl got fired.
It hurts, but it's not the right thing to do, it's the only thing to do
Tell your dad to learn English.
Guys, i had an error on two different computers right now. Different hardware and stuff.
>playing vidya like the guy who i am
>after a long session i stop. doing other things
>after 1 hour idling, the grafic's fan doesn't settle down.
>looking ath the grafics driver the card has a 75% load all the time while idling
>thefuckisthiseven.gif
>looking in taskmanager process issch.exe takes like 40% of CPU-Load
>killing the process the grafics load drops immediately to 0% and the fan settles.
After restarting the PC the process starts up and the load on the grafics is 75% again. The process starts up from the %appdata%/Local/ubisoft<whateverherewas> location.
After uninstalling uplay and deleting the issch.exe manually the problem was gone.
Friend of mine had the same issue. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided fps jumped from 15fps to 45fps in an instant, after deleting the process.
he also has experienced performanceproblems in different games for a while.
Anyone had the same issue? Couldn't find anything with google to this issue instead of "yeh thats install shield stuff - so dont worry".
Both happened on AMD Grafics cards. One is a R9 Fury - the other is a R9 290
