Looking to learn one of the C language variants,
What's better:
C Hashtag (C#)
C double plus (C++)
>>56292240
c++ can do more (hence the name. ++ means plus 1)
i'd recommend starting with a simpler c variant before going straight into c++. it's a lot to handle.

Do you need a microscope station to solder that shit on?
Yes, we know everything already is from China but in here we discuss the no/low-name cheap shit you see on Gearbest, AliExpress, eBay and similar sites.

don't waste money going to college for computer science. just pick an degree you can easily earn like business and learn programming by yourself
you're gonna FAIL your class and feel like shit
Ask yourself this honestly why would a company hire some guy who picked up programming at 24. over the neet whos been making shit since he was 11?
>>56292040
There are lots of 30+ year olds in uni don't worry, but I think you should be studying maths in the mean time.
They transition quite well into programming and give you problem-solving skills.
What does /g/ recommend for external memory? Are SSD more preferable? Should I get a regular HDD and an external case instead? I'm anxious of losing all of my piles of files and media in the span of just 3-4 months.
>>56292036
It depends how much data, but generally an SSD for backups is a waste.
my 3.5" external reaches 130 MBps via usb 3
no ssd is a waste of time
Is Toshiba reliant?

As the title says, I'm looking for coders and website programmers for volunteer positions in a text based MMORPG I'm planning to start. If you're interested, please send an email with your skills and experience(if any) to [email protected].
If you don't have any coding skills, but you're still interested in helping, feel free to email me with how you think you could contribute.
Pic unrelated.

top kek there are plenty of MUDs online these days no need to make another.
Does this mean if I touch an iPhone I'll get a disease?
Yes, HIV. Cancer too. Kill you're self
That's to be expected. It's not new news that devices are designed to die in a 2 year time frame. Who seriously keeps a phone for more than 2 years? The iPhone 7 will be out soon. When your old ass iPhone 6 dies, buy the new one.
Problem solved.

>that's what all applefags believe
Situation: PC is old but I need a new monitor, and I'm going to buy a new PC in a few months.
Problem: My current failing monitor is 1280x1024 while I have the option to buy a new 1366x768 one.
I don't see a lot of 1280x1024 monitors and I wonder why, isn't supposed to be a better resolution than 1366x768? What should I go for if I plan to use it for leisure?
Also, since I'm going to upgrade the computer in a few months, I'm considering the option to buy a HD monitor (1080p). Would the higher resolution hurt the performance of the computer since it's using a really old CPU?
Please, enlighten me.
>>56291682
If it really would hurt performance you could still just lower the resolution, no one forces you to use the maximum resolution.
>>56291877
Yeah, but do you think it would noticeably hurt the performance if I use the HD definition?
So you say I should go for a 1080p monitor?
>>56291682
1280x1024 is 4:3 ratio. here in the 21st Century we have gone widescreen.
Alright /g/. Thinking about upgrading my GPU from a gtx 950, which would be a better buy, the Rx 480 or the fury x. My real goal is to play the new dues ex game
RX 480 8GB
>>56291660
what resolution are you playing at?
>>56291660
I'm in the same boat with you OP but I seen the Furys going for $300'ish on Newegg. I think I'm going Fury(non X)

>tfw my 980ti got moved over to legacy in less than a year
fuck this shit im getting vega as soon as it comes out
>>56291325
>another nvidiot gets shillraped.
the 980ti is dropping in price by $50 a month.
how does this make you feel?
Of course it's now legacy. You've got to buy the 1000 series now if you want to play it the way it's meant to be played™. You're not poor are you?
>>56291325
what is your problem exactly? afaik they are still supporting your card with the newest drivers. last time i checked amd stopped making drivers for my old card which was like only 4-5 years old while nvidia still supports cards that are 10 years old. maybe you just lack reading comprehension?
I would actually like to work for the NSA
Then apply and gtfo.

The inserts go in the outermost posts, usually.
