Is the Arctic Silver 5 still worth it? Im planning to use it on 2 non-oc mobile i5 processors
>>56291045
Use whatever is cheapest, it doesn't matter.
Thermal paste is thermal paste, nigga
It's not like you will get a 10° difference from what you choose
>>56291045
Just get a ceramic based paste. Less risk (non-conductive), easier to clean, and thermal performance is identical if not better. Oh and they're usually much cheaper per unit volume.
So why aren't you using GNU Social, /g/?
>respects your freedoms
>decentralized (choose your server)
>works as well as any social network like Twitter or Facebook
What's not to like?
>>56291001
Does it have a userbase? Is it easy to convert normies to?
>>56291001
I don't even use the social networks my friends do use, why would I use one none of them do?
>4.2.2. The limited reach of hashtags
>Hashtags are somewhat limited in GNU social because your server does not have a complete view of the network. Suppose your server has 10 accounts on it. Obviously it knows about every post that those 10 people make. If each person follows 10 different people on remote servers, that's 100 extra people. All together your server knows about the posts from 110 accounts.
>If you click on a hashtag on your server, it's only ever possible to see posts from those 110 people.
>Note also that hashtags are linked to the server where you posted. If your account is on quitter.no and you use the tag #newyearseve, anyone who clicks on it will see quitter.no's list. If somebody on quitter.se uses the same tag, clicking on that tag will show you quitter.se's list. These lists might be different because each server has a different view of the network.
>The GNU social federation has lots of benefits but you can see that it makes hashtags a little complicated. Groups are a popular alternative that are more reliable.
TL;DR
Hashtags basically don't work. Freetards fuck up again.

hi me
How does one develop autism aka a love for programming
It's my most stressful class atm in college and each week just gets harder and harder. Before I pussy out and drop it
could anybody give me tips on how I can brainwash myself into loving this shit
>>56290879
I used to fucking hate programming classes. I've tried out different languages in my free time and it turned out that I just hate Java, not programming in general. My suggestion is to think of a small scale project and try to implement it in a different language. For me it was a webshop in PHP.

Only reason you people hate Microsoft is because you have something to hide. They don't spy, they send data to make the experiance better for you and prevent terrorist attacks. Prove me wrong. //Anish

POO IN THE LOO!
>install Windows
>have to manually download and install all the drivers
>on several systems, the fucking ethernet or wifi drivers don't install, so I have to go on ANOTHER computer to download them, put them on a pocket SSD and then transfer them to my laptop
>once it's installed, wait a few hours to update it
>of course, it will update by itself in the future when I need my computer most
>install any desktop-tier Linux distro (e.g. not Arch or Gentoo)
>all drivers install by default
>can install codecs with a click of a button
>have repositories to download any other things I want
>installs and updates faster; up and running in 10-15 minutes
>I can choose when and what to update
>also, my updater works for all my installed software, so I can update my applications, too

Post your data usage
I guess I used 192 gigs this month. I've hit upwards of 350 before though. What's your record? I pay 60 american pesos a month for real unlimited data on tmobile. Post your limits and what you pay.
If we're talking about cellular data, I reach my 100 mb limit almost every month.

You don't need to. But you are free to try it. So if you get bored or have an old macjhine you don't use(or a pi) you know what to do.
Finally, a desktop screen that looks more clean than usual.

Does nvidia really expect me to upgrade from my 970 (inb4 3.5gb) to a 1070 because of 1.2x performance, I don't even play many gaymes.
>>56290380
>I don't even play many games
Then don't upgrade you stupid fuck.
I upgraded to a GTX 1070 from my 970 which I sold to my gf and the speed increase is way more than 1.2x. This card doesn't even flinch whatever games I throw at it. As far as Muh DX12 performance, I get 150-200fps on DOOM using Vulkan. I'd get the 1070 so you can SLI in the future because SLI 970 is shit
>>56290380
