Why not work on actually reducing the power consumption of laptop parts?
Gtx 960m was 75w, imagine if gtx 1050m would have been same performance but 40w instead.
Why not offer better performance at 95w on the desktop instead of dropping down to 80w over 4 generations.
Are desktops stagnating? In 20 years will the desktop be dead, replaced with phones and tablets?
Flagship arm processors can now offer ~one third of a haswell i7 performance too.
