I experienced humming and crackling with the 2i4 (1st gen) and a z87a, somehow the 2i4 was picking up whacky vibes from the two monitors, I fixed it by elevating the monitors, now there's a 2 cm oak plank between them, haven't had a problem since

I did the windows 10 upgrade a few months ago, no problems.
This morning I woke up a message on my screen "We've upgraded your PC"
I run a R9 290x with a 42in 4k tv. I used to get 4k@60htz through the displayport into the tv but since this update the maximum refresh rate is 24htz!
How can they be allowed to force this sort of shit on you??
Any ideas how to fix it? My drivers are all up to date. im tempted just to switch back to Windows 7
