>neutrality is telling me what I want to hear
I don't think you quite understand the meaning of the word.
Guys I accidentally purchased studio monitors (cancelled it, but I eventually bought it again) and I was wondering if my laptop sound card (or my desktop PC) would suffice or do I need a better sound card or should I buy a DAC?
Are they powered studio monitors or unpowered.
If they're powered you may wish to get a $50-100 DAC, if they're not powered you'll need a speaker amp and a DAC.
Your built-in sound card already has a dac.
Every sound card has a dac.
Studio monitors are designed for flat responses, not entertainment. Everything will sound like shit.
>>57088456
Powered, I just want to get the best of it (balanced sounding)

The X axis of the led matrix decides to stop working so it has that stretchy effect that you're seeing.

My first stupid question is...?
Should I get a paid VPN service?
What does my ISP see if I use a VPN?
Can my VPN provider see what I'm doing?
Mint or Ubuntu for babby's first linux?
I've used Ubuntu for years, and I'm installing linux for a friend
is Mint easier to use? I don't know much beyond Ubuntu
>>57088125
1) Maybe. It depends.
2) Hopefully, just an encrypted connection to one server and nothing else
3) Yes
>>57089003
Ubuntu MATE. The only advantage of Mint is it includes all proprietary codecs and drivers which you can download during the installation of Ubuntu anyway. Although it's really a personal preference. I prefer regular Ubuntu myself.
To add to this, other baby's first Linux distributions could be: elementary, ZorinOS, openSuse, PCLinuxOS.
>>57088125
1. Depends on what you want out of it.
2. They see that you've connected to a VPN, but don't see which sites you're visiting. Everything is encrypted.
3. Yes
i'm 1/2 way through my first programming class in Java, and holy fuck I feel like everything in computing is finally clicking for me. the IDE is awesome and I can pretty much build any kind of application, with a GUI or without.
So serious question, why would a person ever use a scripting like Python? Are they just too lazy to actually use a real language that is compiled or am I missing something?
Because they have a use case different than yours, simply want to have rapid deployment, or don't want to have to spend hours fucking with shitty OOP implementations.
It's an interpreted programming language, by the way. Not a scripting language.
>>57088424
>It's an interpreted programming language, by the way. Not a scripting language.
nice shot at sounding smart but there the same thing

They can't predict network latency so their time estimates cannot ever be correct.
I prefer time.gov
Why don't you use a Celeron with a minimal Linux distro Anon?
Because I'm too busy actually working on my windows 10. No time to goof off like you, /g/. I'm putting myself in a position to buy a hot white wife and feeding her my non white genes. All thanks to the complacency of the white man.
