I want to execute .sh script with root permissions from web. I've added this to /etc/sudoers
www-data ALL=NOPASSWD: /usr/share/nginx/html/adduzer.sh
apache ALL=NOPASSWD: /usr/share/nginx/html/adduzer.sh
nginx ALL=NOPASSWD: /usr/share/nginx/html/adduzer.sh
But this constructions don't work anyway for root permissions. Why? Where is the problem?
Also, in php exec('whoami') gives 'apache' user as a result. But I have construction for it.
May be SElinux blocks it? How I can check\disable it?
>>57168169
Gentoo doesn't have this problem.
I have one simple sh script, which adds line to the file. If I execute it from terminal with sudo /usr/share/nginx/html/adduzer.sh I see results in /work/test.txt, but if I execute the same command from php file with shell_exec('sudo /usr/share/nginx/html/adduzer.sh'); or exec('sudo /usr/share/nginx/html/adduzer.sh'); - I have not got new line in the file.
Nginx logs are empty. How I can execute the sh script with root rights for string add?
I've also written not root user to /etc/sudoers construction, like in first message, and I've executed it succesfully like a root. So constructions should to work, but it don't for php...
What I can do here?

I like gentoo, but have got centos vps, which works little weird, from my point of view. I think, there some SElinux... How I can block selinux or give access to this operations? Any advices?

New hardware: GTX 1050 and 1050Ti to will be released on the the 25th.
Rumor: Intel's Kaby Lake Pentiums (priced below i3s) will be two core with hyperthreading (2 c / 4 t) and could arrive before the end of the year.

What piece of shit phone did you buy? Mine is the cheapest Android phone the store had ($5/month/2 years) and still has 16GB storage. You gotta have 8GB built-in storage at the very minimum or you're going to have a bad time.
>>57168047
Samsung Galaxy Sol. It has 8GB, but theres so much bloatware it's already full.

best "user friendly", but lightweight Linux distribution for this netbook? was just gonna throw it out anyway, put mint on it but it's still a little sluggish. I know I might be asking for alot out of a shitty machine, but I'm not doing anything with it anyway and thought I'd fuck around with it a bit. thanks
>>57167818
debian
Gallium seems pretty nice, but it was designed for Chromebooks so YMMV with a netbook (I suppose).
>>57167818
If you're looking for something lightweight go for Arch, the Wiki has a step-by-step installation guide and there's plenty of videos out there, don't install something heavy like Gnome, go for KDE or something
Lubuntu if you're not feeling so hardcore
Ask a guy who just deleted 3k lines of code by accident anything.
Press Ctrl + Z
Why no backups or source control?
did you ctrl+z?
I work in a pc repair shop and we also sell computers to customers too.
I've finally managed to convince my boss to try offering Linux computers for a small discount.
It'll only be for the budget tier computers like celerons and A4, to begin with.
What's a good distro to bundle with our computers and why? It has to be super noob friendly. I was leaning towards Ubuntu since most people will have already heard about it at least once in their lives somewhere so it might be familiar enough to buy.
Also, why aren't you going for part for bringing Linux to the desktop?
Don't offer linux computers people who might buy them are the same people who will come back extremely angry that they can't install microsoft office
>>57167723
Well we're going to offer them windows if they come back, for a fee.
Windows costs us ~90 dollars (Australia), we're going to offer the Linux pc with a $50 discount, then charge $99 for people who come back wanting us to install windows. We normally charge $130 to install windows so it'll look better to them but we'll be the real winners.
A discount for the inconvenience :')
>>57167769
>make people angry then charge them double to make them less angry
Sounds like a great business model.
Best plug and socket coming through.
Look at this 16A carrying, no bulk, no shock masterpiece.
Why arent my American sockets gud? :(

Whilst that my be true, your plug isn't American and thus your argument is null.
Do you think we'll ever see a return to Text-based UIs as bandwidth and battery life are given more and more focus? Imagine a subnotebook with TUI OS using e-ink. I would make that my daily driver in a sec.

have you seen the average normie's typing habits?
they can barely manage to string together correct sentences in their native lanuages. there's no chance at all they can learn and then properly execute something as syntactically demanding as even a shell prompt, much less real programs

Bought a chromebook. But I actually love it now. It doesn't have any real capabilities, aside from shitposting and watching youtube videos, but it does it with a 12 hour battery life so yeah.
What kind of magic is this shit.
I transcoded a h264 480p 43minutes long video sized at 662MB into a h265 sized at 137MB. How is this shit possible?. While I do not see any discernible loss of quality surely a lot of info is been lost.
I just cannot bring myself to delete the original video. I feel like a grandpa that refuses to use emails and instead uses fax. Anyone feel the same with h265?
>>57167324
It's the magic of math
>>57167324
It's just much better compression. h265 has had well over a decade of improvement in compression techniques to draw on since h264
You did get a little bit of quality reduction since you re-encoded an already encoded source, but it doesn't matter if you can't tell the difference.
>>57167324
yeah, now take a look at your cpu/gpu usage while playing those two files.
