Hello,
I have an idea for an Android app and I'm willing to learn the appropriate technologies to make it myself (for all it matters, I have previous experience in languages like Python/Ruby, C#, etc.).
My question is: should I be generally using Java with Android Studio in order to make it, or might it be possible to use another framework that might make things a little bit more straightforward (without me having to use Java)?

Alright so I fell for the computer science degree meme. I graduated a year ago and been trying to find a job with no avail. There are barely any entry level positions and way too many students trying to fill them in the tri-state area and most of my interviews usually end with nothing, not even a rejection e-mail.
What can I do before my debts literally kill me? How the fuck am I supposed to find a job in this industry?

To get the good ones you have to know someone. Anyone who got a decent cs job out of my university had contacts that helped them get good starting positions, myself included. I was in a similar position to you, but I made connections through something outside of computer science, and it just kind of worked out from there. So the best advice I can give is get out there and start networking.

I used to have an AMD CPU (or APU or whatever they called it) years ago and I kept having shit as I started my Linux journey. Maybe it was power level, but I don't remember struggling this much when I made the switch to Intel.
Also, unlike AMD, Intel has libraries I can use when I do openCV shitty projects.
Nevertheless, I somewhat have wet dreams about these big companies failing and an opensource alternative becoming the new standard.
It's a bitter medicine but the patient needs it.
