I thought they already have. NSA, google/facbook (i think they share one) and a some lab in europe (the one that invented it) all have a basic quantum computer. The only real problem is error correction and that isn't going to get solved soon because everyone is going off on different tangents trying to find the best solution.

I like having a laptop at work because I can dock at my desk but still take it around to meetings. At home, I would like to do the same, but I typically do graphics-things (ie games) at home and I wouldn't want a laptop for that so I use a desktop.
If "gaming" laptops werent heavy ovens then maybe I would do the same at home.
