Too much of a normie focused browser, I'll stick to Nik's Chromium.
>>60308542
It's fucking terrible. Worse than Vivaldi even.
Hey /g/ I am very poor, so a year ago I bought a psu from our local craigslist equivalent. It was a power case 1200w for 45 dollars.
I decided it was a little to risky so I shelved it and bought a used corsair cx600 for 50 dollars.
It just blew up and started to smell bad, causing blue screen errors etc.
So I replaced it with the suspect power case psu.
It was a lot heavier, but the claim of 1200w is dubious at best.
It is working now but really loud.
Can I take out the corsair fan and put it in this one?
>>60308488
>Can I take out the corsair fan and put it in this one?
If you want to see another PSU blow up, go right ahead. Also why are you buying multiple shit tier PSUs if you're "very poor"?
>>60308552
Why would it blow up if I just changed the fan
>>60308576
It's probably a more powerful engine in, obviously. Replacing the fan will probably result in insufficient ventilation.
Daily LTT hate thread! Enjoy!

i love ltt!
Is it better to learn from AMD's or Intel's Programmer's Manuals?
>>60308176
The one that put "Cripple the other guy" functions in their compiler, of course.
>>60308176
Since AMD designed the instruction set I'd go for AMD's manuals.
>>60308176
So is youtube promoting the shit out of their livestream shit now?
I see this all over when I go to youtube now.
yeah whats this lo fi chill shit? it seems like high tier autism
Now that they replaced TV, they want to use their dominance to bring back the old 'content is made for ads' and not 'ads made for content' which made TV so successful.
>>60308164
It's normie music.
Would AMD have been better off just shitcanning bulldozer and going back to revving their old K10? Like intel did with shitcanning the epic fail of netburst and going back to P3.
>>60308073
lel, glabics carbz.
Well they did shitcan bulldozer.
But to answer your question, probably not. Piledriver was okay, just 3 years behind the game.
>torrent release groups still upload in h.264
Good. I won't upgrade my chink devices to something with more options for HW decoding anytime soon.
>torrent release groups
Normies' CPU such as Celeron is too slow to decode H.265.
Hey, /g/, I need some opinions on my latest purchase.
I just ordered a HP Omen 15-ax238tx laptop. It was NZ $2256, which Google tells me is $1563.86 in USD.
Here are the specs:
Windows 10 Home 64-bit
Intel Core i7-7700HQ 2.8 GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, 4GB GDDR5, dedicated
15.6" UHD 4K (3840x2160)
16GB RAM
256 GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD
1TB SATA, 7200rpm
I need a laptop, and I don't want to have to deal with a gaming desktop and a regular cheapo laptop. I'm not a major hardware enthusiast either.
What do you think? How retarded am I?
>it's another gaming laptop thread
Seriously fuck you
>>60307964
>another
Oh.
I don't browse /g/ often, I don't know what annoying people do here.
You could have built an itx desktop for about $600, got a good Chromebook for $400, and saved yourself about a thousand dollars while having a gaming machine that's twice as powerful and a laptop that is twice as good for laptopping
>have 16 gb of ram
>spend hours combing over my config files and package lists to get my ram usage as low as possible
why do i do this to myself?
>>60307719
Stop making fun of Sara please. MEA is a great game if you invest some time in.
>>60307737
No one said it's a bad game. Combat is dope as fuck but the story is lackluster and the animation is dogshit.
>>60307719
Probably some mental illness, 8GB is enough for literally everything.
So I'm looking at swapping over to firefox but I'm not 100% on it yet and I have a few questions. Using chrome at the moment.
- Can I sync bookmarks between devices?
- Firefox is open source, so they don't track what websites I visit correct?
- I can make it look like chrome right?
- Does it autoupdate? (OS X)
- What features will I miss swapping from chrome?
>thinking of switching to firefox
>ever
>yes
>wrong
>yes
>probably, at least windows and loonix do
>dunno
>>60307643
there's no point to switch
>firefox slow sjw shit that uses tons of ram
>chrome slow botnet shit that uses tons of ram

>Very helpful. I guess as my follow-up, on the inventory side, that grew I think 3% sequentially. Can you walk through the moving parts there? What's driving that, and is foundry diversification part of that? Thank you.
>Jen-Hsun Huang - NVIDIA Corp.
>The driving reasons for inventory growth is new products, and that's probably all I ought to say for now. I would come to GTC. Come to the keynote tomorrow. I think it will be fun.

Happy to see IBM back.
How are they bank reserves nowadays?
P100 was unveiled at GTC as well and only came out in December.
Even Nvidia said at that time that volume shipping won't be before Q4

Shit most of this was done 20 years ago by Be... the Haiku team just did it FOSS and supporting modern hardware.
/g/ you have like 10m to tell me why you aren't using or supporting the superior OS.
There's more software and compatibility for GNU/Linux now than it is for Haiku.
The OS has to be supported by hardware producers and software developers, Haiku is too niche and starts from where GNU/Linux was many years ago.
>>60307626
Do you think it could surpass linux as the desktop OS of the future if any support miraculously came to it (granted i know it took 20 some years to get Linux to be where it's at)
>>60307626
ReactOS was never going to be a stable platform with the potential for replacing NT environment yet here we are.
I've been considering getting one of these old 8 bit home computers from the 80's. I'm just wondering, what kind of these sorts of computers would be easiest to find in Australia and for how much will I expect them to go for? I don't really care about any of the accessories other than maybe the tape drive.
Can any fellow convicts help me out?
>>60307571
Well i'm not an aussie so i can't say...
But look at what was the best selling system of the time in your country.
Like in the US there's not many commodores as there are in most european countries...
Also depends what you're looking for:
Apple 2 and C64 are probably going to be more common then shitty computers that got in the game cause it was popular
(although you may find one of interesting value there in australia)
>>60307633
I've mostly been basing my investigations around the C64 but most my findings for online sales have them going for well over 100 bucks. It was my impression that most of these things would go for under 70 so I was wondering if maybe there was a better choice than paying 100+ dollars for a C64.
>>60307703
There's by far the most software and hardware available for the C64, but 100+ is overpriced unless it comes with a fair amount of accessories and games.
SVI-728 or other MSX-compatible would be another good option if you can find one.
Is there a way to check what funcions a library in c++ has while being offline?
Like from the Microsoft visual studio level
Look inside the header file for that library.

I will be having exam today and Im afraid that I'll forget functions, so if that happens I will have a way to save myself
