Is it safe to say all languages not on this list are a meme?
Haskell is a meme
>matlab
>>60303554
matlab is great and you are not a person if you disagree. Opinion about Haskell discarded.
>>60303554
matlab is used more than fortran. fortran is only used by retarded dinosaur professors and their groups because the professor is too dumb of a cunt to rewrote the code in a non-shit language.
W-we had so much f-fun when you were younger, a-anon-kun. W-why did you leave me?

How would a decentralized internet even work?
>>60303393
We need to stop supporting cable and telco companies.
They have a monopoly on data delivery.
>>60303398
How else should data be transmitted?
>>60303440
Some third party companies need to step in.
Telco/Cable Co have wires dating back to 100 years and they sell you ISP services through that and until we get rid of it, they have total control.
Google tried with fibre, but that's not available everywhere.
Satellite ISPs are too slow btw.

You pretty much posted me, OP. The trick is to hit the gym.
Mechanical pencils are technology, what are your favorites?
My Graphgear 500 .3 just broke from stuck lead inside of it and I'm in need of a replacement pencil. I saw the Kurutoga Roulette .5 and it seemed like a better experience, anyone here have any experience with it?
I have one, it's really nice.
I haven't tried other fancy boutique pencils other than the graphgear 1000 but it's become my favorite.
The whole top portion is plastic, but it balances out the pencils really well, unlike my graphgear, which is all metal and extremely heavy in comparison.
>>60303162
I just get the cheap stuff, haven't actually used one in years by now, I just use a pen.
>>60303238
Me too. Just bic pens.
A while ago I found out that somebody is sending messages in Chinese using my turned off Wifi card, They connected to the MAC address of my phone using it somehow, and the destination IP shows to be that of Google in the US.
What exactly is this crap? Does anybody understand Chinese over here?
And what should I do in this situation? I don't want to get accused of espionage.
Traitor, you are supporting a Chinese spy operation in Google.
Surrender your computer at the nearest law enforcement facility.
Nothing to hide, nothing to fear. If it's not affecting you why even worry about it?

just use a translator. i doubt there are chinks here. you would have more luck if it were punjabi
my guess is you have malware in your phone, or you installed a malicious app. maybe a chink jailbreak tool?

-what is your favourite programming language?
-what is your favourite anime?
-what is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?
-produce a fizzbuzz in your favourite programming language, and post it.
my favourite language is perl, my favourite anime is mouretsu pirates, and i'll leave the third question as an exercise for the viewer ;~)
here's my fizzbuzz:use strict;
use warnings;
my $i = 1;
my $start = 1;
my $stop = 100;
$i = $start;
while ($i <= $stop) {
my $d2 = "";
my $d5 = "";
if (($i%2) == 0) {
$d2 = "fizz";
}
if (($i%5) == 0) {
$d5 = "buzz";
}
if ($d2 eq "fizz" || $d5 eq "buzz") {
print ($d2 . $d5, "\n");
}
else {
print "$i\n";
}
$i = $i+1;

by the way, if you have trouble replying to this thread with your fizzbuzz, the trick is to scroll up to the top and use the original reply form

Why is this so common these days? Every time I'm reading a reference manual or even some article that focuses on programmers, the writer uses the feminine pronoun to refer to programmers in general. Are there really that many trannies out there?
It's just virtue signalling. See it for what it is, but ignore it when it comes up.
I don't what's worse, this or the limp wristed cunts who add the word [sic] to any quote that uses the gender neutral form of "man" or "he".

Running a mail server is *actually* for autists.
Good luck getting your mail accepted by anyone else. Running your own outbound mail relay is easily one of the most difficult and frustrating things you can do. On a residential connection forget about it.
