If I could fucking take the baby unto myself I really, truly would. I'd have the most fucking thought out, planned eating schedule. My baby would be fed absolutely everything it needed, in good amounts. It would be truly taken care of. I would give birth to a perfectly healthy, heavy baby (birth weight correlates positively with height, IQ, longevity and general health in life).

But instead this pissy child with wild mood swings and no real dedication has it in her belly and will eat doughnuts and random shit because its an "excuse" to pig out.

Also OP, just slowly move your head to one side, hold for like 10 secs, repeat on the opposite, then straighten up and do the same but forward/backward. Then do Yes and no motions with your head.

if you have pain then the best thing is to do fucking nothing desu. Just sleep well supported and rest.

how does /fit/ feel that what females interpret as attractive is 75% genetic and only 25% effort based work (eg lifting).

is this 75/25 ratio accurate? Or disagree?

One can typically make up for the other. I've seen skelly dyels with wide as fuck shoulders who will never need to put in effort to have a body that looks good, but also seen dudes with the opposite who look better. So idk if it's translatable to percentages.

Still can't decide on a workout program. Looked at the before and after of the StrongLifts 5x5 and was disappointed. I did bodyweight exercises for years and still look better than almost all the guys in the after photos for the program. Is this workout program just a meme or is there a better one out there for people beginning to lift?

Firstly, looking good is about bodyfat.

A guy who fucks about in his bedroom doing bodyweight, but keeps 10% bodyfat, will look better than someone who lifts for 2 years but has 20% bodyfat.
Pic is me as an example. I gained no muscle between pictures, I just dropped bodyfat.

SS, stronglifts and all the other generic beginner strength routines are great for getting stronger fast, and gaining muscle mass, but of course if you are eating as you should be for those goals, you will gain some fat too, hence why people look shit in the after photos.

Really though, routine isn't that important, as long as you aim to make progress and eat for your goals, and put in the work, you will get where you want to be. The other thing is you have to have patience, no routine will have you looking good in and out of clothes in 6 months.

No. Only surgery will get rid of puffy nips. You can get rid of some of the mantits through exercise and diet, but depending on severity surgery may be necessary to fully correct. Get comfortable in your own skin or pay some asshole to mutilate it to your liking.

depends on the cause. if you're just fat then you need to lose weight. developing your chest will help out a bit from an aesthetic point of view.

if the cause of the issue is breast tissue and not fat then you'll have to have surgery. still, get fit first, get your body fat percentage down, and then go see a doctor for confirmation if they're still present

Hello /fit/

I'm using the Stripped 5x5 workout and all is going fine so far. I only encounter problems at the pull up part as I can barely lift myself and it's kinda discouraging.

At the gym I found there's a lat pull down machine (pic related, same model) and I got a little braver when I realized I could use the thing with more than half my mass.

Is this a good way to exercise in order for me to be able to do a pull up? How have you achieved the performance to do pull ups easily?

Lat pulldowns do help, but they aren't the best thing to be doing for learning to do pull-ups.

The best way to learn, is to do negatives, where you jump to the top of the pull-up, and lower yourself as slowly as possible to the bottom. This works all the same muscles as a pull-up, and will make you able to do a decent pull-up within weeks, assuming you aren't really fat.

Can confirm negatives are the way to go. Took me 1,5 or maybe 2 months to do a pull up.

Do 3 series of negatives 3 times/week. As many reps as you can.

I've never thought about negatives, nor seen them anywhere in any guide I've found. I think that will work for me, as I'm barely fat. Thanks for the advice!

My dips form was bad and I fucked my left shoulder, so much so that I couldn't continue doing negatives ( cause I can't actually do dips ). If I do any of these: https://greatist.com/move/stretches-for-tight-shoulders my left shoulder kinda pops and hurts.

Is this bad or will it go away?

There is no point trying to tell people they might not be the authority on shit.
Fitness and gym related shit is especially affected by it. Whatever is the latest shit someone read in a fitness magazine, forum or website is now passed off as their own authoritative wisdom and they won't accept anything else. Nod and smile, and let your gains speak for themselves.

I started lifting 5 years ago, I on SS, my buddy on a bodybuilding split. Guess who looks better now? Yet he was convinced he was doing the right thing.
