How do I go about quitting smoking?

Ive tried weaning myself off them, but end up smoking just as many as before after a week. I've tried going cold turkey, but FUCCCK...it was easier to give up a three year amphetamine habit.

Why are women so sensitive (compared to men) when it comes to their weight?
So I got in a serious fight with my fiancee last night. First off, she's in PMS, that is important and, well, I probably should've waited or be more tactic.
I workout 5 days a week, I'm nothing special but I try to give my best, I'm one step above otter mode. Unlike me, she works in shifts, so working out is more difficult for her, not to mention she lacks discipline to begin with.
Anywho, for the last 3 months, a few times a week, I suggested that she should go to the gym (she did plan to go-with her best friend, but dropped that eventually). Last night I directly told her she should shed off some stomach fat and indirectly told her she'll get fat (by my assessment, she's closing the threshold of becoming a chubby; she should lose cca 7kg). Needles to say, she totally flipped out, started yelling, said she knows she gained weight, but how dare I call her fat etc. She was mad as fuck and even threw engagement ring at me and said if I ever mention something like that again it's over between us. Not only that, but this morning, still mad as hell, she told me that now she intentionally won't work out and to go fuck my self.
And now, not only did I hurt her, but I achieved a counter-effect. Fucking hell…
