Is roid-rage real? I thought it was just a myth. But I've seen guys that almost get mad cause you are using a machine that they need. And then there is this kid at my gym. He is pretty skinny, but can pull a lot of weight. And he started being confrontational. Saying I am disrespecting him, and he was calling me a donkey? lol!

Is that roid rage, or is he just a bully, and I his victim?

Usually if people fuck with you in the gym it means you are kinda small. Lift more heavy shit and eat right and let some time pass, you will see the difference.
People will be intimidated to ask if you are done with the weights or bench.

Does it make you so very, very angry that I'm obese? Damn, food is tasty. So very tasty. Sometimes, when I tuck into a tub of "cookies & cream" ice cream or a bacon-wrapped filet mignon, I'll pause for a moment and think of other people who are upset by us overweight folk. Their tears add to the delicious flavor.

Now, if you *truly* hated the epidemic of obesity in your nation, you would do something about it. Targeting consumers like myself shows laziness and weakness. Targeting corporations like RJR Nabisco, Nestlé and Monsanto, however... well, my good friend OP, that shows courage. Courage I'm 100%-positive you never had. Or, you could start a nation-wide campaign to encourage people to eat healthier while showing them the benefits and techniques involved in calorie-burning exercises.

How does one achieve a physique like the picture on right and avoid building a physique like the one on the left?

It's mostly a matter of bodyfat.
The guy on the right is like 7%bf whereas the lefts is more like 12%. That 5% difference is pretty huge in terms of methods needed to achieve.

Also shave bodyhair if you wanna look like right. Having no hair on your chest and stomach increases definition a lot more than you would think.

Both are probably on steroids. Right is probably on a wider variety of them (test, EQ, mast, as well as fat burners) Left is probably just on a bit of test.

Today is exactly 1 year since i started lifting

Maxes:

Deadlift: 462 (probably got 480-505 in me now)

I dont understand how some of you cant even deadlift 315 after 2-3 years, its like you're not even trying. Just eat and lift.

It'll likely shank your deadlift progression and you'll stall sooner on squats (this isn't a good v bad thing, its just that highbar inherently uses less weight than lowbar which makes each weight jump harder because its a bigger percentage increase).

I am a 21 year old built fat DYELfag

I lift around 7-10 times a week

I am getting bored of all of the dumbells and the bars, well equipment mostly

I wanna change my workout for about 6months to a year

I like the look of these (Pic related)

I can't choose which one will be the best to cut some weight and build a different "Functional strength" as opposed to benching numbers etc.

Please help me choose or atleast workout a way to alternate them for the best Fitness and endurance gains

I gym in the morning before work and in the evening after work, I am a pen pusher. fucking WorkslaveFag

Some mornings I need to be in extra early if shit goes down then I skip the morning sesh

Other times I skip the evening cause I get sex.

Hello /fit/,

I don't ever visit this board, in fact this is my first time. I'm coming here because I need help, and /r9k/ mainly consist of lazy NEETs who can't offer me any help. I'm coming here because I need you guys to point me in the right direction. In less than a year (next July), I will be joining the USMC. I don't know how long after July I will be shipped off to basic training, but I'm assuming it's not a long time. My problem is that, currently, I am not "physically fit". I am average weight, average height, and I am not a person who works out. I'm just an average guy. I'm worried that I will struggle physically in basic training. I want to be able to succeed in every physical problem thrown at me, and I will also be tested. Pic related. I am 18 so I am part of the first group, but I can barely even do a single pull up right now and 50 crunches is a lot for me given the 2 minute limit. However, I am not a bad runner. I have already been running 3 miles on and off and my fastest time is around 23 minutes. When it comes to that 3 mile run, I get very tired at about over a mile and I HAVE to stop running at 1 1/2 miles. Please, any suggestions on how to become physically fit enough to excel in basic training would be greatly appreciated.

(Side not: I'm nearly positive that those are the correct standards for the Physical Fitness Test, but I could be wrong. I just pulled them off of military.com )
