Sup /fit/, I'm currently bulking but failing to gain any weight even while maintaining a rough 750 caloric surplus. Why is this? Am I losing fat and gaining muscle or am I just not gaining anything. Pic related(what an average training day looks like macro-wise) . Will post exact macros below.

Why are normies so opposed to counting calories, macros, or even looking at the nutritional label at all.? It's like doing 20 seconds of research before you buy a product means you have an eating disorder or something. Why wouldn't you track what you're putting in your own body? No one would tell you not to track your spending habits, so why is tracking your eating habits considered "weird" when it's just as easy. So many people just read the front and mistakenly think unhealthy things are healthy just because it "says" it's healthy, people have misconceptions about diet that could be solved just by reading the label.

And instantly everyone tells you to do SS. You'll end up having a big ass and big hamstrings. Your anterior chain will be much weaker than your posterior chain due to fatty sit downs (lowbar) and deadlifts.You end up looking skinnyfat as fuck (we see lots of guys here squat +3plates, but most of them just have a big ass, thats it).

There's no "strength base", if you want to start olympic weightlifting or bodybuilding, nobody with a proper education will tell you to do SS with powerlifting movements for those goals. So why should you take a powerlifting babysteps routine, if you don't want to be a powerlifter?

SS is great if you want to be a powerlifter, but most pple will just get trapped into a powerlifting, when all they really wanted was to look good and be athletic.

For weightlifting you want to start doing high bar squats, front squats, cleans and snatches right from the beginning. That's the strength base for weightlifting, not SS. it's much more about anterior chain strength than powerlifting.

How does one heal up from a bulging disc, /fit/ ? I wanted too much too fast and ended up hurting myself a month and a half ago. Tried to max deadlifts up to twice / thrice a week like a fucking retard, then one day while squatting I get some very bad lower back pain and realize something is wrong. Fast forward to 1 week later I begin experiencing very annoying sciatica and I stop lifting. I'm relatively fine now, I barely feel sciatica but I'm afraid I'll make the problem worse if I start lifting again.

I'm 174cm and 95kg of fat.
I know you're all gonna call me a retard for trying to max on deadlifts 3 times a week on a shit diet and shit sleeping habits, but bear in mind I was in a very shitty phase of my life (gf of 2 years left me, dad died of cancer, and destroying myself in the gym helped relieve the psychological pain).

tl;dr do slight disc injuries heal? will I ever be back to lifting (relatively) big again? I had a 190kg deadlift, 140kg squat, and 100kg bench.

I'd go to a chiro and get evaluated. If you've got a sports med doctor maybe, but I'd avoid a regular physician.

If you want to kill yourself at the gym don't do it with squats or deadlifts. Do it with cardio and body weight shit like pushups.

Guys, I need help.

I've been doing 3x5 for three months now. I gained 25 pounds and my strength has increased significantly. But yesterday I was at the gym, looking in the mirror, and suddenly I was disgusted with what I saw: a lanklet with huge quads.

I like getting stronger but deep down I know looking good is what will make me happier overall. I still have a few months to bulk before spring and I need to maximize my arm, chest, and shoulder gains in that time.

Do you have any recommended bodybuilding routines?
