Without knowing your build, I'm just going to go with both. If your ass is flabby, but not perky, and speckled with cellulite, you need to lose weight. But to keep your ass from sagging once the weight is lost, you need muscle to fill it out.

I'm currently 5'3" (163 cm) and 130-123 lbs (56-59 kg, don't have a scale at home).
But even when I was 110 lbs my ass was flat and saggy. Thing is, at that time my upper body was really skinny, you could see my ribs and bones. Should I return to that weight and then try to gain muscle ?

Hey /fit/ as a newcomer and a college student, what is your opinion on eating a simple sandwich
>i.e. just the bread, meat, some veggies and thats it
from subway? I always hear the trainers at my gym say "AND DON'T FUCKIN EAT ANY OF THAT SUBWAY TRASH" whenever they give people advice on weight loss.

What do you guys think for a student who's trying to get fit but is always in a hurry to balance other things?

If you have the option, join a 24 hour gym. One of the biggest things that'll discourage you in the beginning is having to lift baby weight with a bunch of comparatively awoke dudes. Most of the time people feel judged in this situation. I assume you're a neet which means you can go any time. I'd aim for 9-10pm to start with since you probably stay up late anyway. If you can't go to a 24 hour gym go the last hour the gym is open.


But more important than any other thing you can do is fix your diet. Face the fact that you eat garbage and will have to give most of that up.

I'm not a runner, I'm a cyclist, but I'll tell you this: You need a solid aerobic base before you start subjecting yourself to full-on sprints. I'd also recommend some weight-bearing exercise, if you don't already do it, so the cartilege in your joints isn't soft and subject to tearing.

I'm on my first cut after a ~6 month bulk, and 8 weeks into the cut, my lower back still has an enormous amount of fat (kind of like pic related). I have a full 6 pack, but when I put on a shirt, it looks like my lower back is melting. Did I lose the genetic lottery or do I just need to cut for another ~8 weeks or so and lose all my gains?
