Just got this in the mail today! Has anyone else used it? thoughts?

So far, I like some of the clarifications it makes. What I really wanted it for was to help me get started lifting instead of noodling around on machines with no direction and plan of action for what muscles/what days. The book recommends only lifting 3 times a week though. I was under the impression that as long as I use different muscles, it should be okay.

the mechanics remain the same

muscle cross sectional the same

difference in upper body/lower body in term of muscle amount may differ

women don't have the same acute response men do with testosterone (production wise not receptors)

growth hormones may play a bigger effect for women (they tend to have more chronic elevated GH)

2nd cycle of their menstrual cycle shows and higher elevated GH response and at resting as well

women respond "better" with 3x10 (75%RM) vs a higher intensity 3-5 rep scheme

How do you become a gym manager? Do you need insane gainz? I'm not 8% bf, but I'm in good enough shape to get respect at the gym. Have decent pecks.. what do they look for in a gym manager? How much do they get paid? Pros and cons?

Hey /fit/, so I hurt my lower back and the doctor ordered rest from everything involving back exercises for 2 months, what can I do in the meantime? Been trying all cardio workouts, but frankly they bore me and don't find much fun in it

Besides, I don't want to lose that much muscle mass and be that skinny

I weight between 250-260 and i am 6 foot.

300 to 200lbs.

It took me about 15 months, but I purposely slowed down towards the end. Most of it was at 2 pounds per week, which would be less than a year if you stuck with it.

Maybe you won't have saggy skin. The older you get, the less elastin (stretchy) and more collagen (stiff) connective tissue you have.

Expect it to take about a year to lose 100 lbs.

I've recently acquired a bro in training, one of my friends who is a spooky skeleton(seriously, nigga weights around 120-130lbs) asked me to get him into lifting. I wanted to know if you guys had any advice for for me. I've never trained anyone before and have no idea what to do with someone in this weight range. Do I just walk him through my normal routine, but have him practice with the empty bar(I really have no idea how much weight this dude can move)?
