Somewhat new to weight lifting and entirely new to counting my macronutrients. Currently following this 5x5 routine that I got from the wiki http://stronglifts.com/5x5/
Really enjoying it and I feel a lot more healthy/active since starting to lift. Also added a few more minor exercises on the weekends like situps and cardio. Currently overweight so cardio is obviously not my favorite thing. My biggest concern right now is counting macronutrients. My friend linked me this calculator http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/macronutrients_calculator.htm but it's giving me really high values. 242g protein/carbs and 54g fat. I can manage the fat and protein but I'm not sure how I'm supposed to meet that carb requirement. Just finished lunch and my daily total so far is 128g protein, 65g carbs and 34g fat with a total of roughly 1000 calories. Is it okay to not meet the carb requirment? Am I supposed to eat this much every day even though I only do the 5x5 3 times a week?
Any advice would be appreciated

Is vegetable soup the ideal carb source when cutting?

I made a big pot with frozen mixed vegetables, frozen mirepoix, beef bouillon cubes and some tomato paste. Giant pot for under $3, and it's got a shitload of fiber, vitamins and nutrients. Plus, studies have shown that consuming broths and soups with lots of liquid aid in appetite suppression. The whole goddamn pot is only about 900 calories.

I do a lot of these, but they're generally more of a chili.

Diced tomatoes, black beans, green peppers, onions, jalapeno peppers, and some spices. boil for a while. It's pretty great.

If you just go back to normal like nothing happened, then it won't hurt your gains. The reason that people binge and then go off the deep end is that they just start thinking that it's ruined now and they might as well go overboard. That, or they do something stupid to overcompensate like eating nothing or purging, both of which lead to more binging later. It's how people develop eating disorders. Just forget about it and carry on as usual.

It's everywhere, was it /fit/ or bb.com or any other fitness related community there are people criticizing bodies and lifts while it's fucking obvious that there's only few here who can even lift 1/2/3/4 and even less that have aesthetic physiques

Are people just that delusional that they even lie to themselves to feel better?

Are heart rate zones a Meme?

I just moved to Singapore, and after cycling around the Island my Fitbit is telling me I burnt fat only when I stopped for snacks.

This is correlated with the Calorie counter.

Did I get Suckered onto this whole fitness tracker thing or is it all bullshit as I now suspect.

you probably just have a higher max heart then your fitbit thinks you have so it calculates wrong. as long as you stay aerobic you will always burn fat especially if you do long rides like that

i forgot to mention, i also ate 1 pound of extra lean beef about 5 hours earlier in 1 sitting, and i was still hungry enough to down 1500+ calories at midnight.

this is like a daily occurance for me, if i didnt lift/cardio i'd prob be 300lbs+
