Hey /fit/ bros. I hope this doesn't get marked as spam cause I think it's a legitimate question. I'm curious if the line in the middle of my stomach is from having ab muscles or if it's just body structure? Usually I picture abs as a classic "six pack," not just some indented line down my upper stomach. This picture doesn't show it that well (the lighting helps), but in the morning it's even more prominent cause I've fasted overnight and bloat from food and water weight is gone.
My next question is how do I make it stronger? I really like it, I think it looks appealing and creates more of an hourglass illusion. The crazy thing though is that I don't do ANY ab work whatsoever. But I do have bulimia and I wonder if purging so much is actually giving me abs? I'm not promoting eating disorders I'm just genuinely curious. I hope it's the beginning of abs, but if not oh well.

I have my eyes on a guy I see at gym several times a week. We have chatted a few times, but something very basic, like "are you still using that machine,"you can use this machine if you want to," "no you can drink first."

Lame, yes, but at least he knows I exist and he has talked to me too. I have a feeling that our eyes meet at times. I have a feeling that he is a bit awkward around me, but maybe it's just cause he has noticed that I gaze at his direction sometimes? Does it only apply to women, that they think that anyone looking at their direction is a creep who should stay away?

What can I do? Pls don't suggest anything too complicated cause talking to him makes me nervous, especially cause I'm in anglo country and English isn't my first language. And when I'm nervous, my English gets bad and my accent thicker than my tighs.

ITT: Do you periodize your training? Or do you just do a linear style of training? Did you even write your own program, or did someone else write it?

I want an idea of how well /fit/ grasps programming. Let's discuss our favorite style of training/periodizing as well.

Currently in an 8 week linear hypertophy phase with 4 day microcycles consisting of 3 lifting days and one rest day. I rotate between a linear mesocycle and a daily undulating periodization mesocycle where I work on strength and hypertophy, with a 1RM attempt on bench and back squat once a week (similar to conjugate style). I have one week active recovery in between each mesocycle. This is personally my favorite way to train.

Bench press variants for front delts, sometimes I do front raises or OHP but not very often, I prefer chest development over front delts. For lateral delts I do db and bb upright row, but only ~2 sets for that since it's considered dangerous and can lead to shoulder injury, and lateral raises. Do all of those on chest day then on back day I do face pulls and rear delt flys.

Really nothing special, just been lifting for a while.
