others thoughts on people who focus on one aspect of lifting to make themselves god-tier in it while neglecting other aspects of fitness and boasting about their strengths

-Can't Swim
-Can't do pushups/situps/pullups
-Can't even walk more than 6km, let alone carry weight over it.

Well, the obvious answer is that they're not comparing themselves to others who lift. They're comparing themselves to people who don't lift and aren't active.

For most people, being better than average is sufficient. They aren't out to surpass that low bar.

Been going to the gym for about 8 months now and never once even considered preworkout.

What are the effects similar to?
Does it last your entire workout?

depends on how long it is, but if <2 hours then yes
probably, but the fact its a liquid allows for faster absorption.

i prefer cellucor c4. its entry tier, but i also take 10 mgs of dexamphetamine before i lift so i cant have too strong of a preworkout in case my heart explodes.

You could try making your own preworkout with koolaid powder/BCAAs/Caffeine powder/Creatine if you really wanted to
