What should I order?

Should we get a teppanyaki table or just order off the regular menu?

Yakimandu and bulgogi

Hiya. So I want to make traditional melon bread. It's a type of Japanese sweet bread/ bun. All the recipes I look up don't have very compelling pictures. I found this one. It's pic related. Here's the recipe: https://washoku.guide/recipe/1154928
Can you guys test it out/ look at it and tell me how it goes? It looks really tasty but I don't want to make something that ends up looking and tasting bad.

After reading all about it for a while online my grocer finally got some in. What can I do with Brown Rice? I understand it needs to cook longer but is more substantial so it can be a main course itself, maybe with some lime juice and an avocado and mayo?

brown rice is a food that makes you sad to eat.

there are other rices you can choose from.

i like my rice like i like my women

>dirty wild and boiled with butter and salt
>>
>>7254917

Doctors been saying for years I need to eat whole grains though. I switched to enriched white and eat popcorn everyday. Looking to make my rice consumption a little healthier.

I can't get wild rice here anyway.
>>
>>7254907
I'd eat brown rice more often if I could get over the aroma. It doesn't taste as bad as it smells, but there's that whole "smell is 90% of what you taste" so no getting away from it.

So yesterday I ate a junior arbys roast beef and a large curly fries.

I just pooped about 5 minutes ago and my turns were huge logs of orange. Has this happened to you? I assume it was just the coloring on the curly fries, but it seemed like a LOT.

Well, i went to three farmers markets this weekend, and all of my usual pasture/grassfed vendors were out of knuckle bones and soup bones. They said they all sold out faster than they have ever seen. Lots of talk about health and blah blah blah from the buyers. Search bing or google news for bone broth and you will see articles from this past week on time, usatoday etc etc. all the major outlets talking about it.

Pic related, its my latest batch.

Nope. I plan my menu for the week, with Monday being my take-out night, and occasionally adjust the my simple and inexpensive recipes (herbs for example) as opportunities arise.
It's this system which allows me to budget relatively effectively and afford quality and a few goodies here and there.

My husband won't let me shop. He goes during the week and buys meat at a discount from target and then I will make a list and plan meals for a whole week around that. I will give him a list of the vegetables and other ingredients we will need for creating the meals and he will either go pick up what I need or we will go together. He got a HUGE brisket for 99 cents a lb last week that we are still enjoying for lunches this week.

How do I into Indian food?
67 posts and 4 images submitted.

Look up good Indian restaurants in your village and try an assortment of dishes?
>>
If it's cheap, opt for fried stuff like samosas, puri, naan, etc.

If it's high quality, opt for the liquid based dishes.

I hope you like spicy food.

So I just bought a $15 chicken from the butcher and I want to do something new with it.

I've done this recipe several times
(Yeah yeah Jamie Oliver http://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/chicken-recipes/perfect-roast-chicken/) and it's the best chicken I've ever made but I'm sure there's something better. Pic related seems pretty ideal but I'm not sure I have the equipment for it after watching the chefsteps video.

Any go to recipes?

Deboned a whole turkey but I'm only working with the breast, thigh, and wing meat really. I took the skin off the bird in one piece so I'd have the most usable area for wrapping the loafs. I meat glued together two loafs, one dark and one light. Should be out in a couple hours, then they're getting deep fried
>>
Why don't you invest in decent quality cooking equipment essentials before splurging on something like sous vide?
