Who has the worst diet on /ck/? I drink soda with every meal and only eat microwaveable shit unless it's the weekend, and even then I usually get takeaway.
>>7481399
If you don't cook and only eat bad food, why are you on a cooking board?
>>7481418
Says the faggot that can't read the title of the board.
Reminder that cancer is directly tied to the foods you eat and that if you do not consume the foods on this list:
>sweet potatoes
>broccoli
>spinach
>spirulina
>almonds
>black beans
>onions
on a regular basis, then you are actively killing yourself.
what an abundance of credible primary resources
I had to google spirulina because I had no idea what it is. I eat everything else fairly frequently, also you are an idiot.
I eat broccoli, spinach and onions plenty, is that cool?
Didn't see a relevant topic in the catalog, so, boop. Here it is.
Pic related, slow-cooker corned beef and cabbage with vegetables. Came out super tender and incredibly tasty.
What did you guys make? How was it?
Idk...I'm fuggin drunk. Probably going to put some sloppy joes in a flour tortilla with cheese because I'm too drunk to be cooking

Corned beef and colcannon as per American tradition.
>>7481149
Colcannon isn't really part of the American tradition of a corned beef dinner.
It is delicious though.
Crazy idea: a dinner out of mostly mushrooms. What can I make? Vaguely Indian/Asian is not bad.
So far:
>Mushroom cream soup
>Button mushroom tops filled with cheese and baked
>Fried Tempeh slices
>Mushroom herbs salad
Don't ask me why, just please tell me what.
>>7480938
Mushrooms sauteed with onion & garlic
Tempura-fried enoki
Pickled shitakes
Stir-fry
>>7480938
Mushrooms can be incorporated into nearly anything, as their meaty flavor combines well with most foods. To make a meal nearly completely of mushrooms, I'd do:
>Mushroom cream soup, like you said (but I'd use at least 3 or 4 kinds of mushrooms and a mushroom broth base)
>Baked stuffed Portobellos, stuffed with a mushroom based stuffing and garnished before serving with enoki mushrooms and a mushroom- balsamic glaze
OR
>Chicken Fried Morels (if you can find them)
>Stir fry of wood ear mushrooms, maitake mushrooms, and white ruffle fungus, with cabbage, celery, and scallions, using mushroom soy sauce
>the mushroom salad, like you said, probably mushrooms, sweet peppers, and lots of herbs, marinated in olive oil and tarragon vinegar
>
Portobello burgers
These are Duchess potatoes, ok, but /ck/ what if I want to make something like this, but hollow, in such way that I could put something else in it, like a Potato Beignet.
Where I could put inside other ingredients like ham or cheese?
I have been told that is impossible but is that so?
Tl dr: Can one make a Potato Beignet?
>>7480745
Sure, just mix in some mashed potatoes, potato flakes or potato flour into the dough.
I've never tried it before but I have a couple of ideas.
1) Place oven-safe inert objects onto your baking sheet, then pipe the potatoes around them. Bake as normal, then remove the inert filler and insert your filling.
2) Place your filling onto the baking sheet then pipe the spuds around the filling.
>>beignet
Forgive my ignorance but isn't that just a fancy word for a doughnut? Batter dropped into hot oil and then deep fried? What does that have to do with a filling? Or am I totally off base here?
>>7480759
Sounds tricky to handle without ruining the edges. Maybe a small circular layer of mashed potatoes, place filling in the center, pipe more mashed potatoes around filling?
What does/ck/ think of pop?
its called soda
its called coke
its called fizz-wa
WHAT THE HELL IS THIS
Anchovy paste, a common ingredient in caesar salad dressing.
>>7479739
In cheap Caesar dressing they substitute anchovy paste for broken up fillets. Anchovy is one of the main ingredients in Caesar dressing, dumbass.
>>7479744
In fact, anchovies are essential for a Caesar dressing.
>but healthy food is too expensive!
>>7479254
Said nobody, ever.
Faggot.
>>7479255

protip: your arent supposed to eat meat with marmalade, you fat fucks.
Do you like tisane/herbal teas, cu/ck/s?
Personally, I really enjoy chamomile (I find it very relaxing and calming) and any of the mint variaties (I like the way it leaves a nice flavor in my mouth). How about you, Anons?
>>7478472
hibiscus tea
ginger tea with lemon
>chamomile (I find it very relaxing and calming)
i don't find it so, at least not moreso than other teas/tisanes. i think it's a meme like "tequila makes me do crazy shit unlike other alcohols"
>>7478674
Really? Not OP, but chamomile chills me the fuck out.
>>7478674
Power of Suggestion or not, it's real enough to be true
Why hasn't fast food been 100% automated yet? The technology has been there for at least a decade, and the food would be way more consistent and service would be faster.
Is the cost of full automation still higher than the total cost of paying wages?
>>7478052
>Is the cost of full automation still higher than the total cost of paying wages?
Yes.
>tfw so desperate for a job im willing to work for 7.00 hr
>>7478063
When will that change?
chicken tendies, when done right
>>7474575
With spicy sauce too. Thats what gbp's were meant for.
>>7474570
All meme foods are good. That's why they're popular and why idiots call them memes.
How does a completo taste like?
>>7474182
sauerkraut and mustard
It looks pretty good but I bet that sausage squirts in your mouth
>>7474182
It tastes like whatever you put on it.
What are some good low carb breakfasts to make that isn't eggs?
I'm cutting right now and I normally just eat like a tin of tuna for breakfast before work/right after I get there
Ideas?
PS I leave for work at like 0600 in the morning so something I can buy pre-packaged is preferable
>>7482965
>low carb (?)
>not eggs
>pre packaged
You're literally holding your only option in the picture.
Also, unless you work greater than 12 hour days (let's be honest, you fucking don't) the time you go to work doesn't automatically excuse being too lazy to cook nutritious food for your own fucking body. Why not try actually going to bed instead of shitposting on a Cantonese jenkem production forum all night? Then you might have energy to cook.
>>7482976
No need to get so mad
OP, instant oats should be great. Get the plain kind and keep some frozen fruit on deck to chuck in
>>7482976
>You're literally holding your only option in the picture.
not at all
you can prepare some stuff the night before and just warm it up in the morning or take it to your workplace in a tupperware
hey i bought chicken hearts and livers on a whim because stuff was cheap as fuck
does anyone have any experience with this ?
>>7482895
Soak in milk. Dredge in flour, egg, flour again. Fry them up. Eat. Make pan gravy with drippings ( and onions) if you want that.
Especially good fried in bacon grease if you have enough.
I grew up in the country and its what the really poor/really old/really black people ate. They'd usually just fry it up.
I was never a fan.
>>7482908
You can also make some great pate' out of the chicken livers.
