sup cu/ck/s

has anywhere tried IKEA hotdogs? They offer three suaces. There's ketchup, senap/mustard and another one which they don't sell in bottles. It usually says "Dressing" in German and Swiss Ikeas.

Has anyone an idea where to find something similar or how to make a sauce with this kind of taste at home?
Again: It's not mustard.

Does anyone else think in the last 10 years Papa Johns went really downhill in quality?

They advertise "better ingredients" but it tastes like the ingredients are much worse than what they were 10 years ago.

Now they're the only pizza I think is legit bad

They were never that good to begin with.

They've gotten slightly worse, probably to keep prices from going up too much. The one thats gone to utter shit is Pizza Hut. A long time ago when they still had sit down restaurants with servers they were the best chain pizza. It's unreal how much the quality has gone down in the last decade or so. Little Caesars was never great but it's OK and has the best prices. I give them credit for keeping the prices the same for all these years and using good sauce and cheese. Dominos somehow managed to greatly improve their quality without significantly increasing prices. They revamped everything a few years ago and had a big ad campaign. It went from being terrible to being pretty decent. It's my first choice these days.

I used to work for Papa John's in the late 80s first as a pizza maker then supervisor into owning my own franchise. Back in the 90s and early 2000s dough and sauce was made in house with their recipe and stock was bought locally and fresh. When they grew logistically it was impossible and they started delivering sauce and frozen dough and quality of toppings went down.

It's another minimum wage job in the end and the drop in quality caused me to close my store in 2007.

I never did that because I had cracked lips as a child and the acidity of the ketchup hurt me.

I think he means drizzling the ketchup over the fries rwther than dip them individually for a balance of ketchup per fry

Who drinks what these days?

For example, I'd never have guessed that Jaegermeister was drunk by anyone but small town German pensioners. Apparently student parties like a grandmotherly touch, or at least, have been persuaded that they do by expert marketing.

Is it autistic to dislike foods based on texture? I for one can't stand the feel of gelatin in my mouth. I hate jell-o and aspic, anything really squishy that jiggles on my fork or soon. Doesn't matter how good it tastes, I can't get past the texture. Is there something wrong with me? Is there way to fix this?

Nope, you have a child mind and pallet. Sorry you are food pleb the rest of your life.
>>
>>7470111
I never fixed it. When I was younger I used to wretch over the texture of applesauce, tomatoes, mushrooms and avocados. It doesn't bother me as much, and I love tomatoes they just have to be Romas, or mashed into a sauce, or diced with little to no seeds.
Avocados and mushrooms (unless finely diced so the texture isn't there) are still a no go, and I won't eat applesauce unless I make it.
>>
>>7470111
Does anyone even like aspic though?

Is it worth it to get a costco membership? I go shopping once a week and spend about $50, I need to save money. But Im worried about costcos upfront cost and selection.

If you have the cash (or an Amex card) and you buy all your staples there like toilet paper, detergent, bathroom stuff etc then yeah. Spending fifty bucks a week there will get you more than your money back if you opt for the second level membership. The basic one doesn't give you any money back but the higher ones have a yearly percentage they return to you. My aunt always makes her money back and she's just buying stuff for her and her husband.

Anzu is mine btw
>>
>>7469824
I've had the same question, and I'd go with no. I don't think it really becomes worth it if that 50 bucks is going towards you and you alone.

If you and another person are splitting the membership, then yeah I think it becomes worth it, but in terms of the food benefits you really won't see all that much in terms of savings I'd imagine.

Hi /ck/, I need some delicious vegan meal ideas. Preferrably something somewhat unique. So far my ideas are some type of Mediterranean/middle eastern plate with falafel and some other stuff like tabbouleh and whatnot, or something involving some pickled veggies and something (?) more savory covered in the mushroom shallot sauce shown in that tripfag's thread who was cooking those filet mignons.

Obviously my two ideas have a lot of blanks that remain to be filled in. I was hoping you guys could give me some ideas. Thanks

there's a mediterranean plate with falafel somewhere in the 4chan competition thread right now that you should probably check.

I'd love to help but I'm not creative or talented enough to present you with something unique, sorry.

Bump for interest though, this board needs more quality vegan food.
