I have decided to fully change my diet. I am not planning on "going on a diet" I want to change the way I eat as a whole.I have decided to try to get back to as natural of food as possible. Does anyone on /ck/ have experience trying to eat a diet 100% free of processed foods? Ive started making my own bread, buying as natural as possible of foods. Sorry for this post bing so scattered.
>>7814764
So you're processing food yourself? Why not just restrict calories and stop being a middle aged woman?
>>7814764
Great first post!
Try the 'go 'za diet, it's cheap, healthy and delicious.
Sorry OP, I have no experience like that. I was born a male.
Hey /ck/, tell me about your local dishes.
This is a Halifax donair. It's similar to a gyro, except the meat is pure ground beef and has different spices. Toppings are diced tomatoes, onion, and donair sauce (made from evaporated milk, vinegar, and garlic powder). A super donair adds pepperoni and shredded mozzarella, but there's debate as to whether these count as "true" donairs. You can get them in most pizza shops in Atlantic Canada.
You can also get donair meat as a pizza topping. Or a full donair pizza, where tomato sauce is replaced by donair sauce. I've seen donair subs, fries, and even egg rolls as well.
I'm from chicago
All the local food here is apparently a huge meme on /ck/

We also have garlic fingers, kind of like garlic bread. It's basically pizza dough, topped with garlic butter and cheese. They're typically dipped in donair sauce. We really love donair sauce.

why is it full of cum?
What does /ck/ think of Nigella?
I've masturbated while looking at her if you catch my drift

What do you actually use sweet tatoes for? they're not really common in my country. I bought one, tried baking it, and it was disgustingly sweet, borderline inedible.
good in curries
good with salty stuff like bacon or panchetta
good in fry form
I think they make desserts with it in the states which sounds good
Fry them, or cook and eat

What shit country are you from, Yuropoor?
What is the worst dining experience you had and why? Can be anywhere fast food, chain, mom and pop fancy restaurant etc....
I had to spend a week in shitcago near the west loop
I went out for italian food and they gave me basically boiled spaghetti with tomato sauce dumped on top. the wine list was appalling california garbage. as an appetizer I got some really shitty toasted bread that tasted like it came out of a plastic bag, they put garlic powder and butter melted over it
another time, I went out for sushi and literally the only thing edible was the unagi. I can see why midwesterns go crazy over unagi - it must be the only thing they don't have to pretend to like when they get japanese food.

>boiled spaghetti
How else do you cook it?
>>7808992
Both experiences were with hamburgers from Chinese restaurants.
>in Maryland for work
>didn't have a car
>hotel restaurant closed
>only pizza or Chinese delivery
>saw Chinese could deliver hamburger
>order it
>hamburger comes on a hoagie bun
>2 patties, each chopped in half to fit
>easily half a cup of grease soaking the hoagie
>cabbage instead of lettuce
Next one
>in Hawaii for work
>college wants Chinese for lunch
>go to KCL BBQ on Kauai
>Chinese but serves "local" food
>look at menu
>see hamburgers
>hamburgers are generally safe in Hawaii because moco loco
>order one
>take one bite
>the meat was so far gone I'm surprised it wasn't green
>spit out bite into my napkin
>go hungry
Do you prefer gas or induction? Give some tips/stories on induction cooking.
>>7812326
I prefer electric (ceramic) because gas looks like third world unless it's in a restaurant and I've never tried induction
>>7812377
Eh, guess it's what's your used to... but I've cooked on both, I just had plumbing added so I could get rid of the induction and get a new gas cooktop.. much better temperature control....
>>7812377
>looks over function
>i like having my shit burnt and needing to be cleaned all the time vs an antiquated looking traditional machine that will make me a master
Anyone got the avocade knife through hand pic?
What am I supposed to be looking at?
>>7806983
How about you google "avocade knife through hand"
I'm in the states and my friends tell me five guys is the greates of all time fast food.
Is it really all that great? I never eat fast food but I'm tempted...What should I order if I go?
yeah, it's alright, but you might as well go to a real restaurant and count service as part of the expense and you'll probably get your food quicker
I'd grab a hamburger, but that's just me
>classic image.jpg
Go man it's delicious I love 5 guys
lets see those tasty home cooked meals
Looks greasy as fuck familia
>>7801062
nahh it was really good
>>7801097
That doesn't mean it wasn't greasy.
What is the worst beer you've ever had?
Why?
>>7791367
Raging Bitch.
My father, who in 23 years I've never seen turn down alcohol of any sort, tried one and chunked it across the yard. He then started cussing me for giving him poison.

Every IPA on the market. Why? Sour AF. Give me a stout.

Beer, wine, soda, water, I don't care. Post your beverage tonight.
Bought this today, barely tastes like beer but it's only a touch sweet and a little tart. Pretty nice honestly.
> Want to get beer at the supermarket
> I have a choice between six packs of mediocre stuff that'll last, or pricey 25 oz bottles that will maybe last two days
>>7808463
Do you not have any liquor stores nearby? My uni town had like 8 stores in a 5 mile radius.
>>7807901
Review Brah's mom looks deeeeeecent.
>>7807901
where did you get this?
delete now
>>7807901
In every way. My mom used to make me shitty meals and I would say little things to help her improve. She would flip her shit and say that I'm being mean, but she just can't take criticism and she thinks everything she does is right.
>Makes the fried eggs crispy and hard
>Overcooks meats
>Boils all vegetables
>Puts some basil leaves to make it look "gourmet"
>Touches food with her bare unwashed hands
>Over spices stuff or makes it too bland; no happy mediums
When she refused to improve or take advice, I just started cooking meals for myself. She keeps giving me shitty tips that I don't use, but whenever I do cook and she tries it, she says that it was good because I used her tips. This is when I moved out and started having friends critique my cooking, and I learned to use exact measurements, not bowls or cups or spoonfuls like my bitch of a mother does.
>>7807901
>dat smirk
his maw would get it
Let's debate.
Sunny side vs both sides fried?
Sunny side up master race reporting in.
>>7804248
Over easy between med and med well. I like a gooey yolk that flows slowly, not runny.
Prefer poached, over easy or sunny side up if its breakfast and I have toast.
Over easy with a yolk that flows like lava. Any brown or crispy bits and it goes to the dog, who then proceeds to get yolk all over her face.
what eating /ck/?
start with drink of milk tea
entree of liquid chicken, sausage two ways and toast bread
