In the process of making one right now, actually. Fried up two sausages, took them out, fried the onions and red pepper flakes in the grease while cutting up the sausages, added the garlic and then the sausages (cut up) back in, then canned tomatoes and a tiny bit of balsamic at the end.

Too late to change anything now, but how did I do lads?

do you guys buy organic produce? i've been buying mostly organic for the last year and it just seems really depressing to pay more for food that doesn't look as appetizing and sometimes molds within a couple of days of purchase.

Sup ck. How do i motivate not only myself but my girlfriend to eat better and make healthy choices? Keep in mind that we're both 21 years old and 5'5 to 6 feet tall and both pushing a little past 250. Last night she came in with a bowl of ice cream and claimed it to be "one scoop". Well what a scoop that was.

I tried to subtly let her know that it bothered me and that it wasnt the best thing for her to snack on at this hour. But her being a female, she retaliated with "what are you trying to say or imply"

Again I tried to subtly let her know that eating ice cream that late will do her no favors but she was combative and tried to play me down or take me for a fool like I didn't know what I was talking about. I have 3 siblings who are Health nuts and I know how this works. But i digress.

It started as a means of preserving meat back in the days before refrigerators existed.

But yeah, slice it up and eat it as a snack/appetizer. Put it in sandwiches. You can also use pieces of it to render out cooking fat and make a flavorful base for making a sauce, or for cooking vegetables.

So apparently everything Americans do with parmesan (put it on pizza, put it on meat sauce, use it in carbonara and cacio e pepe) is against Official Italian Cheese Etiquette, and most of it should actually be done with pecorino instead. So what exactly is parmesan supposed to be for, and why is it the King Of Cheeses?
