Hey there
I was charged an early termination fee I'm canceling my verizon account.
However, I didn't sign any contract when I became a member.... back when I became a Verizon member, I just left my dads account to my own Verizon account. But I didn't sign any contract or any of that.
However, I did get a new phone a few months ago - a Note 5. Verizon told me that when I upgrade to a new phone, I have to stick with that phone for a full year....and THAT'S why I was charged an early termination fee. But, I didn't sign anything or any of that... So is this early termination fee not valid for me?
Need your help bros

Hello /biz/,
I've recently turned 18 and my father has just told me that I have two mutual funds, one with $14k and one with $12k. I've also been saving up for the past several years as I'm not a big spender and I have roughly $6.5k in cash/accounts.
At first I would think that this could help go towards my college tuition but I have the first 2 two years covered 100% by the GI bill and then I've racked up enough in scholarships to pay off more than the last two years. I already have a car and I will live at home and commute to university.
Does anyone have any idea what I could and should do with this money? I also don't know much about mutual funds so any info there would be great as well. Thanks in advance.

Stocks are grossly over valued thanks to the FED pumping the equity market full of phony money. This bubble is far far greater than 01 and 08 combined and is going to crash harder. The difference is that China, Russia and India are preparing themselves for the collapse of the US dollar and buying up huge amounts of gold. Saudi Arabia is really really fucking pissed about the Iran deal and ready to un-peg from the USD which will see the end of the petrodollar.
There's not nearly as much physical gold above ground as paper suggests and once that's realised, there will be a run on gold. Fiat currency always fails, the FED is out of tools to prop up this bubble, the world knows the US is bankrupt and every 80 years we see a major reset.
Or you can run the /biz/ line of thinking: stocks never crash, you can print infinite money, buy ethereum, buy the dip, go long on oil, oil is going to drop to $10 etc etc

/biz/, could you take a break from laughing at underemployed non-STEMmers for like 10 minutes to build them affordable housing?
I feel like this is a massive market opportunity. A shitload of college grads every year are taking shitty jobs and have too much pride to live with their parents so they pay upwards of 40% of their monthly income to rent a nice metro apartment so they don't have a long commute.
I feel like we could relieve some of that by buying up plots of land still within a reasonable distance but maybe a little further along but not making them luxury condo hyper luxo expensive faggot shit.
So what do you say, /biz/? Affordable housing for recent grads? Could it be done?

I was laid off in 2009 and me and a buddy had a truck. Wed go on Craigslist free section and find large valuable items that people wanted hauled out of their houses (couches, desks, pool tables, etc). Then we'd relist them and say "will deliver". Pool tables are the money maker. Picked a few up for free and delivered them for around $500 each. We had people placing orders for them before we had them.
The only reason it worked for us was the pick-up/drop-off thing. You still have to bring value to the table to expect money out of a middleman situation. I'd imagine if you weren't willing to pick up or deliver, youd have to put a lot of time into rehabbing broken items
Barbeques also made good money. Pick up free, sell for $50
