>tfw 3 years ago I used to be neet and almost homeless
But then:
>tfw next week I might get promoted to supervisor and make 60k CAD a year next week
>tfw everyone at my job loves me and thinks I'm doing a good job
>tfw making awesome excel spreadsheets that make the warehouse run more efficiently
r9k
I'm you 3 years ago. Also in Canada.
What the fuck do I do? I haven't worked in a while and I wake up at 1pm or later each day.
>tfw I had a job and was doing good at school.
>tfw no money now despite being at a cheaper place with high unemployment.
>tfw my visa would run out next year and I'll get deported. :(
So, I am 29 now, and I still haven't moved out. My mom is poor and disabled and can't afford her mortgage. I pay half, which is $300 a month. I also buy groceries and internet and things like that. The cheapest ghetto apartments around here are $850 a month and they're like 700 sq ft... cost does not include utilities or parking. If I move out my mom would lose her house, and I can't justify spending $800 a month on something shitty like a tiny apartment. The bad side of this I live in perpetual clutter and hoarding at this house, and can't make friends or date. I am still a dateless virgin.
Is it smart business to stay here and keep paying $300/mo and saving money forever? Should I just plan to never move out and just invest the extra income?
I want to see what /biz/ thinks. Before anyone says "other relatives can support your mom" there are none, and if any were around, they're ever more poor.
Pic related: it's a mommy
Might as well. You could also clean the house too. At a certain point you are supporting your mom rather than the opposite so a good girl (esp one in her 30s ie getting desperate) wouldn't be put off.
>>1085947
You're basically getting to live somewhere nice and help your mom.
People here will give you a lot of shit here, but living with your family and just paying for part or all of their mortgage/bills/whatever is way better than renting (at least for savings) if both parties don't mind the arrangement.

I just wish I could drink and stuff. I also want to do degenerate furfaggot stuff and I can't. First world problems.
With a Vanguard account, can you transfer shares of an ETF from one account into another (i.e. taxable brokerage account into your IRA), or do you have to sell all the shares, transfer the money, and then buy all the shares again? Turns out I can put more money into my IRA for 2015 but I don't want to sell the shares and then have them rise a bunch over the two days it takes before I can buy them again in my IRA.
Why wouldn't you ask your brokerage?
Which one are you?
Who /moderate/ here
I am high risk with high returns. But I dollar cost average (buy the same amount every month) so it goes up I am buying, it goes down I am buying. Dont really care since I don't plan to sell for 15+ years.

Moderate risk moderate return.
I dollar cost average into ETFs every 2-3 weeks.
Hey fampais, i am an ex neet working as a janitor at a very large corporation. When we work on the ceos floor, they often talk in very testosterone filled manners about their corporations. They mention lots of analytics and slam eachothers ideads. I find their conversations very interesting and i want to record them to break them down for learning. Is there any legal way to do this? I dont think i should ask them
>>1089826
Record them.
Don't get caught.
/biz/ what do,
>be oct 2014
>be 18
>be on brothers insurance
>driving shitty 1998 eclispe gs to work
>Snowed like a mother fucker the day before
>ff to where i need to take my exit and i begin to slow down to normal speed
>hit a patch of black ice and love tap a suv infront of me
>crack my left headlight trying to avoid the collision, left fender slightly rolls into headlight which causes it to crack
>slight crack in the back of the suv, hardly even notice
>damnsorry.jpg
>calling the police and waiting for them in the freezing cold when 6 minutes later, a ricer civic flies up the exit and slams into the back of my car
>he literally threw up his engine bay all over the ground, coolant and shit everywhere
>eclipse had a deep dent in the back bumper which i pop out later on
>eclipse is still drivable so i finish driving it to work
>call brother and tell him what happened.
>have to call insurance company and tell them the story of what happened
>ff to now and i have a 1991 Geo prizm that my brother used to daily drive (scrapped the eclispe (spun a bearing))
>pic related is what i'm paying on average every god damn month

Quit being a shit driver
Get older
>>1089788
This. There is no other answer besides keeping your credit it check too. Most insurance companies run quotes based on credit/driving record/age of driver

I'll believe it when I see it. Iran has decided to price their oil in Euros.
When the Euro drops it will under cut the market.

Ive got oil stocks trading +10% already post-market
I wanna invest around 100€ into Etherium. Honestly I have no idea about investment or bitcoins. As far as I know I can register at Kraken and then buy ETH directly. I just wonder what are the risks? Is there anything I have to be aware of?
>>1089555
>Doesn't know anything about cryptocurrency or investment
>Wants to buy a fucking meme shilled on /biz/ by NEETs
Cmon.
>>1089557
But the idea behind Etherium is pretty great and I believe a system like that is the future.

Why can't you use the xfinity log in on cnbc?
Do economists have to be extrovert?
>>1089109
yes, success in economics is more about being persuasive and charismatic among your peers than being insightful
>>1089110
Without googling, I want you to name me the last 10 nobel laureates for economics.
If you can't at the very least do that, then I call bullshit on your theory.
It's a plus, but the most important thing to have is verbose writing, while not saying anything that would upset the status quo in the field.
I won the lottery and made one million bucks. Should I spend 500K on a balla house, and invest the rest?
Buy ethernet
Buy a modest house in a good area and invest the rest.
Might I suggest a healthy investment into Ethereum?
>>1088981
no you didn't, and the fact that you think a "balla house" is 500k means you're probably a teenager
>Trump to be President of the United States
>Game Theory indicates the US, Russia, Iran and OPEC won't come to an agreement in the foreseeable future
>Russia and US will be fucked the most
>World War III is inevitable
>$10/barrel is inevitable
>Gold will go through the roof in '16
>Invest everything in physical gold and find me on The Beach in Thailand
>>1088577
>When the whole world is destroyed by nuclear bombs, then people will want gold.
This logic is amazing cucklogic

Not a bad graphic. PHP will definitely be a plus for Facebook though since the entire site is written in PHP. I guess they must use some Python back-end shit though otherwise they wouldn't be recommending Python.
Also, there's a hell of a lot of Python in that image. I've never used it so maybe it is really good, I don't know. I'm a Ruby / Rails guy myself.
