My friend just did an all-in ($5.000) in btc because he saw threads on reddit
how retarded can someone be?
his reasoning is bad, but his play might not be.
after all, btc has been boosted mainly because the chinese are turning to it for liquidity, while their actual yuan withdrawals have been restricted by the PBOC. Think about it: if you had gotten into btc this time last year, (http://oneyearbitcoin.info/) you would have already doubled your money. Now the btc block reward will be halved in September, driving the price up further. Don't shrug off btc just to be contrarian.

He'll be buying that Yacht in Spain before you

People can be unbelievably stupid mate. Like all of the kids that own thousands of dollars worth of btc and are all happy without realizing that they are going to have to pay taxes on their profits once they cash out.
I'd like to get an MBA some day, but there are lots of things that I'd LIKE to do. What are the pros and cons of an MBA that I should take into consideration?
You'll make lots of tall, black friends, and you can look at cheerleaders during the breaks.
>>1423663
fuck mba.
just get a sales job.
there . u just got an mba .now go make money.
>>1423663
Pros:
>you will make a lot of money
>you get valuable skills
Cons:
>these skills could be self-taught
>you will pay a ton of money to get your MBA
>you will be a wageslave (an upper wageslave, but still a slave with horrible hours and no life)
Hey /biz/, so I run a small business out of my home, and for a long time I've just taken calls on my cell, gone to customers as they call, and pretty much prided myself entirely on quick response and turnaround times. I had maybe a few customers a month, and while I haven't lived well, necessarily, I've done it on my own terms without resorting to working retail or some other garbage job like other people my age.
However, in the past two or three months, I've experienced an enormous surge in popularity, and I seem to have become the area's go-to guy for my field, which I'm not prepared for at all. My phone is constantly ringing, to the point that between pulling all nighters to try to meet my usual repair times, I'm no longer sleeping well. I am now going on a week with only a few hours of sleep, and I'm an absolute wreck. Even when I lie down to sleep now when I find time, I can't actually fall asleep.
How the fuck do I resolve this issue? I'm not big enough and I don't have enough saved up to get a proper office yet, or to hire a receptionist, or employees, or anything, but the customers just keep pouring in. Is it okay to screen customers through my voicemail so that I can respond to them when I'm able, rather than when they call? It doesn't feel okay to me, but I don't know what the fuck else to do right now. I need sleep, and I need time to finish up with the customers that I already have.
Raise your prices. Basic supply and demand. What are you doing anyway?
Meth is your only option.

hire an employee. if you get sustained business you should be able to afford it. you have a reputation it seems and if you can't deliver the same fast quality your reputation suffers amd your business peaks.
Sourcing some worms (say 1k) for a test run in a single big tree. 14 day incubation, 27 day feeding cycle, and 10 day cocoon time. Will report back in, say, two months or so.
Until then silk general I guess.
>>1423585
What is this
Don't think I could ever just unroll all those cocoons and fuck over all the little animals that are sleeping inside. I'm not even vegetarian but that's just cruel.
>>1423731
I'm doing peace silk. Partly unrolling the cocoon doesn't kill them, which is what peace silk is. Most silk is made by boiling them alive in their cocoons, which I'm not doing.
Broke. Unemployed. 27. No education.
What can I do to get ahead /biz/? What should I invest my time in that could yield a worthy return?
Apparently ebay is dead, everything is already being sold by powersellers.
I was too late for the Bitcoin hype.
Just looking for some advice on what could be worth pursuing in my spare time to try and make money.
Thanks for any help you can give.
>>1423526
don't let /biz/ niggers fool you. get an education. no, college and uni are not a scam, especially if you're not in the us.
>>1423526
Go to work and switch jobs every year, always looking for better ones.
>>1423526
I'm in your situation too OP, I just have $3k more than you right now.
Got fired from an entry level job that I thought I was doing quite well at.
Gonna lift weights then sell myself out as a gigolo to hambeasts
How come S&P is hitting historic highs every other day but the Euro market has basically been stagnating since 2000?
Because America has the world's strongest economy bar none, and Europe has the poorest, most-backwards, least-educated rapists the Middle East can produce.
>>1423524
Because European investors are moving their money to America.
>>1423524
Because you don't fight the central banks. The Federal Reserve wants the markets to boom right now for whatever reason (not saying it's right or wrong). The ECB wants slow-growth for long-term investment right now (again, not saying right or wrong). Apples and oranges mate.
I have 1000 pounds, should I keep them or sell ASAP? My target currency is CAD as I'm saving money for living in canada. What to do /biz/? I'm going there in 1.5/2 year
>>1423288
>I have 1000 pounds
Lose some weight, you fat fuck.
>>1423288
>I have 1000 pounds
Are you pic related
>>1423390
I have 1000 GBP, is that clear enough? :/
Im inheriting $15mil+ within 10 years. What is the best undergrad major to chose in order to successfully invest and manage this sum of money? I'm already chosing economics but is finance better? Would it be a waste to major in economics when all the information to learn about it is free online and instead chose a STEM major?
>>1423249
All you need to know is that index funds will get you superior returns for low fees. You don't need a degree to learn to be rich, and indeed, most information is free online.
Study whatever you want.
Just put it into an index fund. You'll make high 6 figures for the rest of your life. Get a STEM degree in case you don't get the $$
lol what's your net worth now?
Divide that by 10 years and blow it all on travelling etc. Then in 10 years continue with the 15 mil
Hey biz, I took y'alls advice and bought some need pads. I also got my technique down. Now I just need to know how to sell it to people. Have any trade secrets on how to sell? Any good books on sales?
>>1423225
Nice lol.
Just post up on a corner in your nearest city with them suckers on and post results.
go to the nearest truckstop to capitalize on your market. Be sure to invest in $LPBM and $VSLN incase you wanna invest in riskier ventures like $NLSX
>>1424379
I already have $KNPD but i don't know $LPBM, $VSLN neither $NLSX.
what's their names?
So, I have an idea for a map-based job board and have started doing some research for this and have come across this company that tried something similar but seems to have failed:
https://www.jobkaster.com/
I wonder, was there no demand for their idea, was it their shitty execution or was is something else that made them fail?
My idea is similar in that it uses a map to display job ads (can't say more) but I am now worried that there is no interest?
what do you think?
>>1423156
reason why most online business fails today is gonna have to be shitty execution
reason fb succeeded over myspace?
back end technical chops.
servers didn't crash. clean tight code .
great minimal design etc .
ur gonna wanna do heavy research before u just enter into the competitive space of online service.
>>1423156
As a young kid just barely started at Uni I would definitely use a sort of job map. That being said I wouldn't pay for it. Maybe rent ad space and have an option for donations?
Also it seems easy to replicate so maybe make some deals with specific companies to give your specific application more authenticity.
Just a kid's two cents.
>>1423156
also. think of how many search engines were out
lycos, ask jeeves, etc
b4 google , then u look me in the eye and tell me online isn't 100% about superior execution
How are my Ethereum Classic bagholders doing?
>>1423012
bought at 350k, sold at 470k. Then bought ETH at 1.80m sat. Could have done a lot more money, sure, but I profited, so I am doing quite well, thank you

nah, there's much better stuff to long

--FAQs for Robinhood--
Visit the website first - www.robinhood.com
If you're not into robinhood - http://www.stockbrokers.com/offers
> How is it free?
They invest your unsettled funds after a trade.
It's also pretty basic software.
> When is it coming to my country?
Probably never. They only have plans on an Australian beta ( https://robinhood.com/au/).
> It's been X days, why isn't my account isn't verified yet?
If it takes more than 3 days, try emailing their support. They are very good.
> Is this the right place to pump and dump and/or shill a worthless stock?
You have found the right image board ;)
> I hit sell when the stock was X.XX, but it actually sold at a lower price, am I being jewed?
No, that would actually be illegal. Robinhood graphs are just shit and only show you an average, not-really-realtime price. To get Bid/Ask prices and important things like candlestick graphs, you should use a more robust platform.
> Where can I get better charting or bid/ask?
thinkorswim is bretty gud if you want to go open a second account with real broker.
Otherwise you should be using Yahoo/Google finance or even Stocktwits for your graphing in addition to Robinhood.
>How do I git gud?
http://www.investopedia.com/terms/c/candlestick.asp?layout=infini&v=5F&orig=1&adtest=5F
> If I have Robinhood do I need to worry about 'Free riding' violations?
No, its not applicable for limited margin accounts (instant), and if you don't have instant, RH won't let you buy with unsettled funds
> Can I use Robinhood on my PC?
Yes, download an android emulator. Setup is extremely easy. http://www.memuplay.com/

In all seriousness, why should I ever employ a woman? They work half as hard for half as long and complain twice as much. They cause division and drama to every office place and are ticking time bombs when it comes to lawsuits/pregnancy and "harrasment" claims.
Try pol
You are a neet not in a place to employ anyone

You clearly have never had a job outside of fast food.
There are some real hard working women out there, my supervisor at an accounting firm works 12 hours a day + 1 hour lunch 6 days a week.
Granted, she rakes in millions.
Why use Bitcoin for shady activities ? There's no way to launder it correctly. By launder, I mean convert a large amount of btc to dollars and put it on your bank account for everyday use. You would get questioned by the FBI.
>>1422829
Coinbase does not exchange both ways?
>>1422831
That's not what I mean. Say you have 50 btc. You can't just exchange them for dollars on Coinbase and put them on your bank account. Your bank -and the police- would ask you where do the ~29,000 dollars come from.
>>1422838
This is just a regular money laundering problem then. Transfer it in parts. In my country they don't care about transaction that are less than 10k.
