Is trading in stocks/coins really worth putting thought and time in? It's mostly just a gamble and you may win big but long term you're most likely to just kinda break even.
It seems to me you're better off putting time and effort into coming up with a profitable business.
That's correct
Don't bother trAding. if you're going to invest buy $VOO and hold. Or just invest in your business instead
Coins are really no better than just taking your money to the blackjack tables

i have had two falling outs with business partners in the last two months. both women. the first one wanted to sell out in the dumbest way and had no logic to back it up. the second one wanted me to sign an awful 50/50 contract that owned half of my company. both times I was polite and said no and both times they crushed everything I held dear in nasty messages and wrote a ton of passive agressive shit about me publicly. (you know the whole ' why wont people just do what I say' getting five hundred likes bullshit). my question then is this par for the course how things will always end nasty or am I just picking retards?

You picked women, so yes you picked retards.

Is not camwhoring on chaturbate essentially a waste of money for anyone who would be fairly successful?
I'm a decent looking tranny. Whatever you think about that there's big money in tranny porn and i can do it from the connivance of my own home. Even though my financial situation is fine (thanks momma and papa) isn't it kind of a waste if i don't take advantage of this opportunity?
Basically i guess i'm asking is the money from camming worth the porn of you being out there? Or am i practically throwing money into a fire every time i jerk off without an audience?
Post ur body and ill tell you if you're cut out for it
>>1422653
First this is a blue board.
Second it's not pertinent. Even the ugliest of CDs and trannies can make some money camming. Hell arguably even men are wasting their time not camming.

Hey /biz/ seeking some financial advice.
I'm currently trying to get out of debt and was hoping you would share some tricks of the trade or common sense with me.
Here's my financial breakdown:
16 000$ car payment - 143$ taken out bi-monthly. 5.9% with 4 years left
5900$ on my line of credit at 10.9%
I make 2900$ a month, with roughly half going to living expenses.
Thinking about consolidating the loans, going to talk to my bank to see if they can give me a reduced interest rate. I also have RRSPs through work where they are matching my 100$ a month but it's through another institution. Would they compete with my current bank for my business, if I were to open up a chequings and switch institution?
Thanks for your time.
P.S. Feel free to flame the fuck out of me.
>>1422627
>I make $2900 a month, and have about $1450 left over.
>How do I get out of debt, /biz/?
Jesus fucking christ, Anon.
I'm in a very similar situation op. I have a 11k car loan (started at 16) and a credit line of 5k. I legally make around 2k a month, and anywhere between 500 - 1500 a month illegally.
I've recently paid off my 2k credit card and I've dumped a bunch of money on my credit line. All you've gotta do is cut your costs. Only spend what you NEED to spend. Don't eat out, cancel your phone plan, etc.
I figure that I can be debt free in 12 - 18 months if I keep doing what I'm doing.

Is there any point in using a bank to trade stocks, rather than a broker?
>>1422548
dunno about your bank, but I can shove money into a managed stocks, bonds, or precious metals account and the bank just does all that shit for me. it doesn't make as much money as micromanaging my investments would, but I've got other shit to do and I frankly find investment data boring to read. they can take their 20% scalping rate, it's still less than BTC taker fees and much less of a headache than spreadsheets of some business' dull quarterly statements that are full of lies anyways.
>>1422575
In this situation, you could use index funds or ETFs though.
No homework to do, lesser fees, probably superior returns.

>TFW found a youtube channels in my city of literal communists who have dozens of videos talking about how evil capitalism is
>They are saying that the middle class is living paycheck to paycheck and cashing their paychecks at those check-cashing places
>They are saying we as people are "entitled"(whatever the fuck that means) to healthcare and education
What the actual fuck, they have like 10,000 subscribers. Do people really think like this? I never knew it would be in my very own city, apparently I'm the fucking enemy to them even though I was never wealthy and only through many years of hard work did I start making somewhat good money and am on a path to what they would call me an "evil rich person" soon.
What the fuck guys, making money isn't all it's cracked up to be when people hate you because they literally think you're stealing for them due to them not understanding the basics of hardwork and economics. Jesus fucking christ

I feel like trying to argue against a mob of retards is just suicide and a waste of time, but given how dumb and lazy people are they obviously vastly outnumber non-retards.
What can we do? Should we blend in? A couple times I went off in public when someone mentioned capitalism is wrong or something, they just looked at me as if I yelled "nigger" at the top of my lungs
Kill me, Pete
I just got hired on at a large tech company. I have the option to set aside part of my pay for stock up to x amount, so say I put aside $1k a month, every 6 months I will get $6k in stock, priced at the lowest point in that 6 month period and discounted a further 15%. It goes directly into a trading account and I can cash it out that day. Is there any reason I shouldn't put aside a big chunk of my check to do this?
>>1422499
Reasons you shouldn't do it:
1) you have debt you should pay down
2) you need to establish/contribute to an emergency fund
3) you are not confident in the company's stock price going forward, but if you're gonna sell as soon as you get it no big deal.
other than that sure go for it. unless there's some tax differences I'm not aware of, I'm assuming it'll be normal income taxed.
I do it for my company's stock and my regret is not buying moar especially if it pays dividends like mine does. Only reason is I think that they tax it like crazy if you don't hold it for two years.
>>1422499
You'll get taxed at capital gains tax-rate instead of regular income tax-rate.

I popped into the Eth reddit and it's seriously creepy. It reads like fanatical cultists chanting
Read in a monotone droning:
"I 100% Support ETH"
"I 100% Support ETH"
"I 100% Support ETH"
"I 100% Support ETH"
"I 100% Support ETH"
There are people here who willingly handed their money to this group of mentally ill fanatics.
God damn.

it's so the ETC people will stop saying "ETH DEVS ARE DEFECTING. I SHIT IN MY HANDS AND RUB IT ON MYSELF. AHHHHH"
>>1422458
Reeks of insecurity and desperation. If Eth is the main chain then actually develop something that isn't a complete clusterfuck and prove it's worth. People can easily cut through this sort of noise and empty rhetoric.
Same goes for ETC
But this, this is just sad.
Does anyone regret doing business in school? Or even as work/career?
I did a Business admin. with a minor in Econ and a concentration in Finance. I work in sales now. I fucking hate it. All my life I became great at the arts. Music, film, drawing, building, cooking, etc. I'm a hands on man and creative as fuck. I've been asked if I plan on producing or writing anything I talk about, and people are impressed when I do something "artistic". But I chose business because I was a poor kid who wanted to be rich like all the rest. It's not too late I suppose, but how the fuck do I continue doing this shit. Business is just so whack in many aspects. I suppose I like Investing, an strategy, but all I'm ever offered are sales jobs. How the fuck do I get out of this? Or at least how do I translate my business leanings into the shit I enjoy?
>>1422442
I am in the same boat as you. I pretended to like sales and marketing, but as soon as I got in the industry I started hating my life. On the other hand, though, I would have been a starving artist. I only got a business degree to satisfy my parents.
>>1422505
What's worse is I'm not even that bad at sales. I killed it at the last company I worked for. But I dreaded being there everyday. This one is even worse, with slightly better pay. I'm 24 now. I hear from older folks how my life has just begun and all that jazz. But God damn this shit sucks. I have nightmares about getting comfortable making just under 6 figures and every now and then 6 figures, marrying some former whore bitch in my office etc. I've lived too much of an interesting life to become this shit.
I did business admin and graduated with a 4.0 but my retarded younger self didn't do any networking or internships because I fell for the "good grades will get you a job" meme. I don't really regret the business degree and but I would definitely have worked harder getting some experience and making connections in college knowing what I know now. I've got a career plan now but I could have started 2-3 years earlier.
So heres the true story good read liitle long
http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/news/the-stoner-arms-dealers-20110316
Tldr
>two early 20 kids get into selling arms
>basically bush had a policy that adwarded certain percent of contracts to small biz
>these two kids get couple contracts
>than get one big contract by low balling all the big guys
My question is where did they get the money to buy the arms? One of the contracts was $300 m where did they come up with this money? Was the DoD fronting the money i doubt it
I read the book. You can find the contracts on FedBizOps. He got the money through an American financier and got the deals from the financier's arms dealer friend
This was the government using middle men to get quick guns from black market arms dealers
There's more than just weapons orders on FedBizOps
>How to get a loan
It's government ensured
The main guy started doing it when he was 18
>>1422440
Did the Albanians not take a deposit? Some of the contracts were like $46 mil.
It just seems crazy risky to want to finance such a transaction never mind to two pot head kids
Was the book worth the read or does the article cover everything?
>>1422455
It was mostly one of them, Efraim, and towards the end they hired a team.
In the beginning he scoured for financing just as much as he scoured FedBizOps. Remember, this money is essentially government insured
As for the arms dealer (where he landed the best deals) he was using Efraim just as much as Efraim was using him. He wanted an in on the US money.
Overall, this guy was big time. Besides the $300m Armenian deal, Efraim borough him nothing significant.
The guy used more people than just Efraim too, but Efraim was apparently the best at it. He was relentless in cutting deals. It goes to show the value of hustle and finding a lucrative niche. Being smart probably doesn't hurt

Oh you like dat bic boy?
Hey biz,
I need a cheap laptop for office and looking at charts on Polo/Tradingview. Any ideas?
>>1422396
I don't recommend amd and I'll shill Intel all day. I've had both and prefer Intel anyday, as I hate replacing hardware every 2 or so years.
With a laptop, don't go with i5. You either go with i3 or i7. An i3 will last you a good 4 or so years, while an i7 will last 6 or 7 years. You'll want 6 GB - 8 GB of memory with expansion of 16 GB or 4 GB and expansion to 8 GB - expect to expand in 1 year though. You can go with a dedicated GPU, as it takes a lot of relief off your CPU and improves your speed - though it's not nessasarry really.
Reason I wouldn't recommend a netbook or Chromebook is that you will replace it in a year or 2 guaranteed, as life changes and your needs will change. Last thing you want s having to repeat this shitty process again.
Go to Amazon for your laptop needs or Newegg, whichever is cheaper really. Best buy and Walmart you stay away from, unless you want to look n' shop Amazon or online.
Your budget for a good grade laptop is $500 - $800/$700. You will want to spend this, as that will get you quality senpai. Spend lower, you'll get shilled n' cry when it catches on fire.
But all in all, for office n' charts or w/e an i3 shall do you justice if you're on a budget. If you like to think long-term, go with i7. I say stay away from i5, cause it's just like an i3 with two more software based cores that give you like 10% more power, while i7 will give you 4 physical cores or 4 physical and 4 software depending on the class of i7.
Good luck.

Oh and for brands:
HP = Dell - brand name, customer support, warranties, and build quality is meh - only get if you're a grandma that needs help opening ie really
Lenovo = quality build - ideal for biz
Acer = will get you by - great for budget - college status
Asus = God tier - you get what you pay for - quality - used mostly for gaming n' relatable shet
I'm going into my second year of college, and I'm absolutely broke and have no clue what I'll be doing for money. Since of my school schedule, a lot of places looking for people to hire won't bother getting in touch with me because I can only work 4 days out of the week.
I know how to program in HTML, I was a lifeguard for 2 years but quit in the long run because the pay wasn't able to keep up with my monthly bills.
Any advice on what I can do would be much appreciated.
Maybe this isn't the right thread to be asking this question.. Just started viewing this site sometime about yesterday.

The first link is the uploaded build result from Travis CI, and anyone can check the hashes between the first and the second to verify the MEGA one's authenticity.
There's a greater chance of the Windows TrumpCoin wallet in the OP turning out to be a virus than mine. Anyways, I encourage the actually security minded to compile TrumpCoin from source and avoid mobile wallets.
