Does someone has a Morningstar subscription (or similar paying services) here?

What's your opinion about it?

It's free at the library
They have Wall Street Journals too
Are you allowed to go the library?
Tell them you're playing Pokemon Go

But what's your opinion on it? Do you find it useful?
>>

I do, especially the analyst's take on particular companies. When available, they have bear vs bull reasons to buy a particular company's stock which you can use for further research before deciding.

I second what the anon above me said: get the premium version for free somehow (like your local library)

This is what you do.

Almost no one pays for an MBA out of pocket, it makes no sense. Especially given you need a few years of experience

what about for someone coming from the military....

No, money is pretty crazy. That cartoon is a bit juvenile about the overall point, but it is correct. As a thought experiment, ask yourself why every country has/wants to have its own currency, rather than countries making trade easier by using the same currency?
>>
>>1422326
Oh, have you not heared about that new euro thing?
>>
>>1422333
Yep, quite an interesting experiment for the past 15 years. Its basically allowed Germany to control more of Europe than Hitler could have dreamed. Everyone else effectively gave up sovereignty.

How can I make $20,000 by the time I graduate college?

I'm 19, have $3,000, and I have 3 semesters of college left. So I'm on track to graduate winter of 2017. 20k is just my personal goal. I started trading in the stock market a couple months ago and have made about 120% so far. I also have a CS job at my uni that I will be interviewing for when I go back to school.

>How can I make $20,000 by the time I graduate college?
>I also have a CS job at my uni that I will be interviewing for when I go back to school.

How much per hour is it? The first CS job I had while in school was just basic web dev stuff for $15 an hour. Followed by around $20/hr after about a year of experience.

I mean 20k in 1.5 years with a stable part-time job isn't all that hard, just work 15-20 hours a week.
>>
>>1422124
Yeah last semester I worked a web dev job at my uni for $10 an hour, 20 hours a week. I had to quit because my boss left. The job I'm hoping to get next semester is $12 an hour, 15 to 20 hours a week. But I'm not even factoring that into my 20k goal. All that money from working can just go to living expenses. I think I can get to 20k strictly through the stock market. I doubled my money in 3 months. Let's say I got lucky and it will actually take me 6 months from now on to double my money in the stock market. 1.5 years to graduate -> 3 6 month periods -> double my money 3 times -> currently have $2,500 in stock market -> $2,500 * 2^3 = $20,000. Is this realistic?
>>
>>1422131
Making money from the stock market that fast means high risk transactions. Whether it's realistic depends on your skill. A bad call and you can halve your investment rather double it

What's better to rent apartment or house or condo? 22 so buying is out of the question

Rent apartment in most cases

>>1422232
Why would you want a farm? They're not very profitable and you need a lot of labor to make use of it
>>
Condos are shit tier investments in the majority of cases. Most condos don't appreciate very much and have stupid annual increasing fees on top of the property taxes and mortgage

In the most vague and general example, renting an apartment is way better than buying a condo.

I'm an illustrator. I was approached by a friend of a friend to draw storyboards for a cartoon series pitch which he's showing to a major network.
He said he would pay me for the work I do and if the show is green-lit, I can come on board as art director and get a percentage.

I'm just wondering how this works legally. I'd love to be art director for a cartoon show and get a percentage but I still want to be paid for the time I'm putting in drawing this whether it gets picked up or not.

What kind of contract should I set up to make sure I get paid but also be granted the right to become art director if this pitch is picked up?

Should I just create a contract which entails being paid for the work I'm doing now? Should I add a clause that says along the lines of "if series is picked up a funded by network, artist will be assigned art director and granted 8%?"

I just want to be paid for the time I put in but I also want to be art director for a cartoon show.

>>
>>1422015
TL;DR, should getting paid for the work I do now and getting appointed art director be in one agreement or two separate contracts?
>>
>>1422015
Either get a lump sum agreement with your friend
Or
Get an hourly wage/per storyboard wage
make these paid on completion regardless if show is green-lit or not
>>
>>1422092
I plan to get paid for the storyboards whether it's greenlit or not.
My main question is, should I add a clause to this contract that says something along the lines that I will be assigned art director if show gets greenlit?
Or should that be a separate agreement altogether?

I'm looking for any more info than what I already have for relations to an oncoming Euro bank crash that is inevitable unless there's a billions bailout, maybe not even that will help sufficiently . Anyway, long story short:

Italy and has a bunch of loans (non performing loans) called 'Sofferenze' which are giving them a killing. These loans have been shared and sold to various banks , a lot of crap went to Deutsche Bank and connected affiliates and the loans are eating the banks into debt. This has been going on for so long now, maybe after 2008 /2009 , not sure, but the banks are in serious trouble and a bailout will be necessary at some point otherwise the debt's just going to keep being sold to other places and keep being stale.

Deutsche Bank price fell its all time low and keeps dropping , currently @ 11.33 .
All Italian Banks are down in the dumps reaching 2008 level pricing, Deutsche Bank passed their low of 18.01 , well over EUR 6.50 price difference. Take these what you will

I'm asking for any information from other people looking at this shit and speculations on how low this will drop before a bailout or bankruptcy in the near future.

I also recommended stocking up on Gold from now and shorting Barclays

Me again,
Despite Europe's bank debt stacking up , DBK (Deutsche Bank) are being propped up by major derivative exposure amounting to 72 Trillion and keeps climbing . Although the majority is saved by their Net , this Net is at the expense of the various counter parties. If any fail to back up then the trigger is fired and things wont be pretty.

Moving on, another issue going on here are an increase in CDS's reaching nominal peaks in 2015/16, they're still not as high yet but they've been growing internally throughout the year.
The picture attached shows DBK's CDS against JP Morgan. There's also a CDS increase on the major Italian Bank 'Monte dei Paschi ' , I'm sure there are more on the linked banks I've named below.

In due course; It's a matter of time before the loans start defaulting and reports either start lying or trying to fix things. A bailout shouldn't happen due to new EU rules in place since 2008 on bank bailout strategies. An option against the taxpayer lays open but who's to say the government wont do both or the former, I don't now. But what I do know is that something will crack within end of this year or next year 2017.

DBK has a Q3 on October 27th (check their calendar) and that's their final event till January 2017. If I had the chance I'd be shorting DBK from now or during October.
I'd also be shorting the banks connected to DBK who are also in swift decline:

HSBC,
Barclays
UniCredit
Nordea
Santander
There's tons , and tons more, I'll post an image which pretty much shows who you can short. Look at the stock prices yourselves for proof.

I expect a European crash at least sometime in 2017/ Late 2017 , maybe I'm a bit off but expect further bank decline throughout the year to come.

So, trading is halted pending that financing deal, thoughts on tomorrow?
>>
>>1422573
I sold at 14.7 percent yesterday and got out while I could. That sort of gain is unsustainable. The deal was for 17.5milliom Dillard's buying shares at $1.30 when I sold my shares at $1.61 yesterday. It will dip today, but not for long. Just like aphria did last week, but it is already past the point it was at before the dip.

I run a small consultancy business (I don't think I can name it here because of this board's rules on advertising and soliciting) which specialises in viral marketing and social media strategies. As such, our Twitter account is central to our business model. However, this account has been hacked, and is now posting spam links in tweets and direct messages, mostly advertising a "work from home, get rich quick" scam. I have been trying to delete the spam as soon as it appears, but it just keeps coming back. Also, I have changed the account's password twice, but this has failed to stop the spam. What is happening? The reputation of my business is being ruined by this, and a number of our clients have abandoned us in disgust. What can be done?

I was probably 8 or 9 at the time.
>>
When I took my first job at Carl's Jr. and realized you can either be a passive employee, or earn money by your own volition.

It only amplified at my first internship at a mid-sized company, when I personally met a true Monopoly Man-esque capitalist. I learned that the commissions that he personally earned from his clients on a monthly basis was much higher than the yearly salaries of his management team. The purpose of that whole company, with all of these employees (including myself) putting in 40+ hours a week for their livelihoods, was to ensure the owner had access to these big clients and their huge commissions. The guy didn't have a college degree, while most of his employees did. I really admired that.

24 right now, and still an employee at a company, but right now I'm making about $10k a year as passive income. Looking to focus on my own business full-time before 30.

This is frustrating
>GF wants to get into LuLaRoe
>GF makes $5,500 down payment
>GF swears its not a pyramid scheme because there's a product.
>Show GF that it can only be profitable if she sells every piece of clothing (305)
>She says she can sell 305 pieces in a month despite having no sales experience. "If other people can do it, so can I."
>Show GF that it only looks like she's making money.
>Despite $12,000 in revenue, GF only makes $1000 profit if she continues to buy shipments of clothes
>Tell her that she could make $6,500 if she sells first shipment and stops.
>GF says I don't know how to run a business. Says you need to buy and sell.
>Show her that she would need to sell 4 entire shipments (1,220 pieces of clothing) to have $6,500 profit again.
>Tell her that she lives in the backwoods and that simply is not possible.
