So unlike most boards that rotate around DIY/self improvement, this board lacks a sticky with basic information with recommendations and what not. I would like to know what biz recommends I read to educate myself on the topic of stock investments. I am a paramedic but have money to put aside. I also recently took full ownership of a mutual fund that was set aside for me when my father passed away. That account is currently stocked by fidelity stocks. Before I sell and diversify some of those stocks, I want to know what to do, and to learn that I need to know what to read. What does biz recommend for a person starting out in stock investments with very little knowledge of stocks.

Going to my first industry event tomorrow where there will be reps from State Farm, Goldman Sachs, tech companies and the like. I am majoring in both Stats and Comp Sci, so that makes my resume look nice.
How do I approach the reps? What do I say to them? What do I ask about their company? What the fuck do I do? I just want an internship.

Thank you, berry coin.
Now that is sweet.

Why were there no threads up on /biz/ about this sweet fruit? Why do retards shill their worthless trumpcoins, but keep the real juicy stuff out of sight? The last big hit for shills was ETH, we completely missed STEEM too.
Grats on the gains anyhow bro
Rumours have it that XMR will triple in price from 150k to 400k+ after September the 1st. Of course that could always be the moment it completely dumps, so take it with a grain of salt.
Right now the coins pumped a lot because it's the end of the month. That is when all the whales look at their wallets and get pissed off that they only made pennies instead of billions.
Hello ladies and gentlemen. I'm a 25 year-old full-stack web developer who recently quit his job developing websites at an agency (mainly because it was a shit job) and now I wanna start my own company from home.
I already have the skills to quickly build responsive and functional websites and also I have a list of emails from potential customers.
I would appreciate some guidance on how to charge my clients (I.e. who pays for the hosting/domain name, for how many years should I pay it?, Who pays for a website's renewal?, Where should I host my webpages? As far as I know it's way cheaper to host in USA rather than here in Chile).
My plan is to start promoting my company by building a website and sending mass email and make it look really professional. My target clients are 45+ year-old wealthy guys who run their own businesses. Any help provided will be greatly appreciated.
>>1469654
My opinions only:
>Who pays for the hosting/domain?
You do, and you pass the cost to them. Maintaining control over the domain/hosting will make the websites more turnkey and make it harder for them to use someone else (i.e. someone cheaper) down the road.
>How many years?
Require 2 years hosting/domain charges up front, then just re-charge yearly. Most businesses are gonna be fine with that, $10/yr. for a domain is pennies compared to building rent/etc.
As for hosting, I'd try to get clever and buy some hosting on a VPN and parcel it out among smaller clients. You could make money that way.
>Where should I host my webpages?
Dreamhost is my favorite hosting company. They are consistently high quality and don't cave when websites get DDOSed or when some asswipe threatens baseless lawsuits.

I want to open up an alcohol/tabaco store in a shitty neighbourhood where I would get a constant customer flow.
1. I already have the list of all local alcohol suppliers/wholesellers.
2. Made research on licenses that are required to open this kind of store.
3. I have the approximate of all monthly costs including rent etc.
Whats my next step?

How do owners of corporations avoid paying 39.6% personal income tax?
>>1469500
By having very little personal income on which you have to pay a personal income tax.
Shell corporations, donations to 'charitable organizations' (to lower their tax bracket) that their friends own and can shuffle money back to them for a small fee (lower than the taxable rate), and wise legal shuffling of money between accounts.
Pay your fucking taxes, scum
Anybody here invested in uranium stocks. Is the market beginning to turn with some of the majors running up in bullish fashion. Anybody else follow this shit?

Whats some of you favorite business names?
I would guess most people will say duo syllable names like target, nike, apple, uber and whatever.
But I actually like company names that are made up of two last names the most.
Also for some reason names that end in "well", and anything with "Dynamics" in it.
Here's a list of mine. The first being my favorite and the rest in no order.
Osram
Pentax Honeywell
Bell & Howell
Lockheed
Monsanto
Caterpillar
FedEX
3M
Northrop Grumman
Coldwell Banker
Some WallStreet shit that doesn't fucking mean anything like Stratton Oakmont but sounds like you're making a shitton of money.

raytheon
ruger
price waterhouse cooper
intel
nike

Fuck thats a good one.
Any idea why these types of names sound so successful?
