Is landscaping/lawn-mowing worth getting into or is it a spic-dominated profession nowadays

Hey /biz/, I've never visited here before so I'm afraid I don't know the etiquette/expectations, but thought I'd give it a go...
I'm now in a position where I've got £1,000 per month building up after all expenses, pocket money, and maximum deposits into my HTB-ISA and 6% savings account (this time next year that'll jump to ~£2,000 per month)
All it's doing at the moment is losing its value (being held in a <1% interest 'savings' account)
I was just hoping for some advice on what to do with it?
>>1470009
You need to have a few thousand in your savings account for emergencies and large purchases.
Put the rest in an index fund, or in stocks if you like risk.
>>1470016
I thought index funds were stocks... But I guess that's why I'm here... Because I'm pretty clueless on these things
Will look into more though - thanks
>>1470025
Index funds invest in stocks for you.
What I meant by "stocks" was research, pick, and buy your own. It's very likely you won't make as much money long-term as you would with an index fund, but there's still that small chance you'll come out ahead.
THERE'S STILL TIME TO HOP ON
IT'S NOT EVEN SEPT. 1ST

I need examples of businesses that are created to help people or make their lives easier.
Literally, every business, Senator Sanders.
>>1470014
Lol no, some businesses are modeled to pray on and exploit human neurology.
>>1470014
If by "people" you mean "shareholders" then sure.
I want to buy a bunch of Zcash when it launches.
Should I buy on release day, and run the risk of paying a premium because everybody is buying, or do I wait a month until it settles?
Looking at Monero it would definitely have been better to buy a couple weeks after release, but I don't know if Zcash will settle as low since people will expect it to be eventually adopted by darknet markets..
zcash is gonna take 10% of mining profits, no one will use it even if it is better technology
>>1470003
Whats so special about Zcash?
>>1470052
It's like Monero, but better privacy wise.
People tend to be pretty critical of it though since it wasn't developed in exchange for hot pockets
Is there any point in buying Bitcoin now since it's so expensive atm.
Wouldn't it be better to buy Ethereum or Litecoin? What are the chances of them skyrocketing like Bitcoin did?
buy eth

Do you think it could double? Or would it be a case of buy it and hold it for 2 centuries and hope for the best?

THERE IS AN EMERGENCY, THIS IS NOT A DRILL OR A SHILL.
INVESTORS ARE JUMPING ON THE SILVER (SLV) BANDWAGON AND GOLD, THE USA HAS SO MUCH DEBT THAT THEY ARE JUST PRINTING THEIR OWN MONEY.
THE DOLLAR IS SAID TO CRASH NEXT WEEK.
INVESTORS ARE HOPPING ON SILVER (SLV) BECAUSE GOLD IS BECOMING TOO EXPENSIVE.
I RECOMMEND YOU GUYS BUY AS MUCH SLV AS YOU CAN, PRECIOUS METALS WILL RISE, SLV AND GLD.
>>>BUY NYSEARCA: SLV
>iShares Silver Trust (ETF)
I KNOW THIS SEEMS UNSURE, BUT SLV WILL RISE IN PANIC OF DOLLAR CRASH, MANY INVESTORS ARE BUYING SLV... ITS GOING TO HAPPEN SOONER THAN YOU THINK IT IS.
SLV IS A SECURE INVESTMENT, ITS $17.72 AT THE MOMENT. I ENCOURAGE YOU TO BUY AS MUCH AS YOU CAN OR AT LEAST 1.

My friend has a girl that sleeps on his couch whose family has some /biz/ worthy money. They bought her a house, but took it away because she's a druggie that refuses to get a job. They offered for her to move back in but she's just been hopping houses (read, dicks) for a year or two now.
>>1469887
Why not? ill just inherit it and try to grow what he left. The fuck you want me to do?
How do I sell cheap shit online under the guise of postmodern art?
Man I need to get in on this scam.

It's all about your image. Build a really good website to advertise your gay shit, and make up a story for each shitty painting you paint. Make it read like you're a passive aggressive cunt who will insult anyone who dares question your integrity. The money should flow from there on.
>>1469876
how can you advertise it tho
So /biz/ are you gonna be dumping a lot of money into the coming crowdsales on Ethereum? I'm really excited for Gnosis and SingularDTV. What are you guys excited for? What ICOs should we be looking at?
