Weed will be legalized in Norway, Sweden, The UK or Germany within four years, then the rest of northern europe will follow shortly. There is also a high chance that other recreational (think: LSD) drugs will be legalized in such countries after weed has.

I have what could be considered insider information, but im not directly involved in decision making, so the obvious question is: How do I (we) best capitalize on this?

I hope you are right, but that sounds far-fetched. I live in Norway and it's one of the most conservative societies in the western world with regards to drugs. I mean, protein power used to be illegal here. Last time I heard a significant discussion with regards to the legality of anything was the push to ban energy drinks like Red Bull.

A cypto that doesn't land you in jail for buying drugs is pretty darn useful imo.

Bitcoin is useful for its popularity, but not anonymity.

Negligible, and it takes a lot of effort for those poor returns

What's your technical analysis (TA) and fundamental analysis (FA) when it comes to crypto day trading /biz/. And what are some useful sites for crypto news.

buy when others a buying - everyone wants to get on the next bitcoin, so when you see a shitload of volume then you should hop on and expect the price to increase for the next few days (or week, or months)

but also look for shorting opportunities if the price is increasing for absolutely no reason

>>

Fundamental analysis is worthless if you are day trading anything. Fundamental Analysis is only valid over long time horizons. It has no way of analyzing the daily whims of the market.

The FA case for crypto currency, is their deflationary nature (limited amount of bitcoins), their protection from central bank manipulation (i.e. money printing, QE), their low transaction costs, their universality (borders are meaningless to crypto) and their transparency.

I tend to think a lot of TA is voodoo and self-fulfilling prophecy, but their are some useful things in it. Usually the simple concepts like trending and support and resistance.

I just graduated with a liberal arts degree from a top school(not ivy but close in rankings), and I'll be starting an analyst position with a boutique management consulting firm in two weeks.

Im on a 90 day probationary period where I can be terminated at will, and I can leave at-will.

I'm ok at math, have had professional internships in the past with success, so I don't think I'm entirely retarded, but I can be a socially awkward Autist and I'm honestly not that business/economically savvy.

How the fuck do I not get fired during the next 3 months? How do I become a full-time career adult normie?

some things that helped a lot
1) Try to find small things that you think might be improved. Then do it and show the result.
2) Not be only on time but come earlier and leave earlier. But make sure they notice it.
3) Heavy workload? Take that paper/laptop home and finish it there. Don't tell anyone about that.
4) Find the weakest guy and fit in when the others bash him

Hey /biz/ this is my first time dropping by, and I need some advice. I'm looking to start my own business, though don't really know what kind of business I should start. I don't have any clue how to start a online sales business, nor do I know how to start a service business. I'm not really a professional at anything, but I do know how to do a little of everything thanks to the many jobs I've held.

The city I live in is mostly middle to lower class people, so whatever I do ((if a service business)) would have to be priced reasonably well so it's viable to run the business. At least that's what makes sense to me.

So /biz/, how should I go about starting my very own business for the first time? What should I do? What do you think would be in my best interest as a potential new business owner?

>I'm looking to start my own business, though don't really know what kind of business I should start.
Then you shouldn't be starting a business. Full stop.

A business should come from an insight, either a service which you can provide that someone else can't, or a cost or time cutting method you've discovered.
>>
At first I thought starting a lawn care service wouldn't be so bad, but I'm not sure I could do it quick enough so that I could generate enough profit to live off of. I'd need to hire help, but I don't have any cash set aside to pay for some help. I could always give them a cut of the profit as it comes in... but that honestly feels a little shady.
>>
My driving force is becoming my own boss. I would think that is a large driving force behind most people wanting to start their own business. I can see why insight or the ability or knowledge on providing a better/faster service is needed though.

That being said, everyone has to start somewhere. Some people wake up one day having the great idea that they will cut lawns for the rest of their life.

I refuse to just give up because I haven't had an eye opening idea that will make everyone want to throw money at me. I don't need to be rich. This is more for my own mental and physical health than anything.

>Some leet hecker guy hacks your broker account
>Sells off your portfolio then transfers all the money out

Explain why this isn't a possibility? Would you even be protected by fraud liability laws?
7 posts and 1 images submitted.

Yes. I'd report the money stolen and spark an investigation. Do you know how expensive it is to hide money like that? I'd spend more hiding it than I have in my account. They have good ways to log who gets in and out of accounts to where a proxy/vpn won't help you.
>>
>>1471233
>They have good ways to log who gets in

Unless of course... he logs in through your computer and internet connection which malware has been capable of doing for years?

It's that simple
>>
External transfers are tightly limited by financial institutions. The hack can't just initiate a transfer at will. The external account has to be verified and existing as an associated account.

Someone with my brokerage password could transfer all my money to MY bank account. As soon as he tried to send anything to HIS account, the system would NOPE that shit to oblivion.

billionaires are usually not very young unless they inherited their fortune. They either started dating them when they couldn't get any better, or they are 60s so you forget that women in general after 30 fall literally apart (actual sexy milfs are very rare, unfortunately)

Can someone explain to me how basic income would improve society without the government controlling every facet of the economy (and this assumes the government could/would make things better with its control)?

Because I thought about it for like twenty minutes and I realized that, as a landlord, I would find out how much basic income is and raise my rent to be something someone with basic income and a full time minimum wage job could just barely afford, to maximize my profits. (why should I charge what any schmuck can afford with money to spare?)

As far as I see it, basic income would just make all the people who provide services raise prices to take advantage/to make up for raised taxes.

I remember seeing material for basic income from Switzerland which seemed to focus entirely on being lazy. Shit like "what would you do if you didn't have to work?"
Minimum basic income is a get rich quick scheme for liberals, except you're still poor even if it works.
>>
>>1470983

Admittedly, in a socialist country, it could work out (though you would run into the trouble of people not wanting to do manual labor jobs). In a free country, government subsidized housing is not common enough for landlords to not violate you but good.

>The guy down the street who didn't raise his rent would be able to screen better renting applicants, have lower vacancy, lower turnover etc because he has more people applying to rent his more affordably priced property

Now, as to how it would improve society, it would get rid of so much government largess. Get rid of welfare, affordable housing, foodstamps, and all the other government bloat-fests that contribute to them spending $87K per family of four to "combat poverty". The government doesn't understand that they are actually SUBSIDIZING poverty. If the government subsidizes(essentially pays) farmers to grow corn, they get more corn. When the government pays poor people to have more poor babies, they are subsidizing and increasing poverty. Basic income helps to combat that nonsense.
