20 years old from Eastern Europe here. I have 5k$ in savings. How to make 1k$ per month online in other way than poker? I'm winning player but it makes me feel tilted and nervous quite often. I record all of my transactions, regardless of their minor magnitude. Basically I balance an excel finance report, complete with all of my income/expenses, so that I can see exactly what I'm spending money unnecessarily/necessarily on. Right now, I'm realizing that obtaining better deals on college books could save me from spending $700/semester. This has to be my worst semester by far. McGayHill/Pearson Assholes are screwing the etext game over pretty good.
I realized that when balancing my finances daily I hardly spend anything in hopes of seeing numbers grow. It also minimizes the amount of transactions I log, which conserves a minor amount of my time.
I'd definitely advise at least balancing a checkbook. Becoming aware and drifting away from comfortable transactions will likely be the single greatest effort you can put forth to reducing expenses.

The retail giant -- which employs about 2.3 million workers worldwide -- said in a statement that the cuts affect accounting and invoice jobs in its U.S. stores.
The company said affected employees will have the option to work in another role at Walmart.
Communications director Deisha Barnett said the company is "anticipating that associates move into new roles" rather than leave the company.
Walmart said some people may have the opportunity to transition into higher paying roles -- like assistant store managers -- while other roles may pay less than their current salaries.
Walmart says all 7,000 workers will be "transitioned" before the end of the year.
Barnett said the positions are being cut because Walmart is implementing a modernized system for bookkeeping and tracking inventory. New roles have opened up thanks to the pick up service Walmart launched last year, and CEO Douglas McMillion's focus on bettering customer service by putting more employees on the floor of its stores.

This whole "join a trade" meme confuses me. None of my local community colleges offer degrees/programs in HVAC, electrician training, plumbing, etc. The private schools that do offer those programs cost as much as universities, with tuition rates upwards of $12,000 a year. Gaining an apprenticeship through a union is a crap shoot, unless you have a bachelor's degree to distinguish yourself or have a family member or friend as a connection. Why is it so hard for people like me who just want honest, cheap training in a humble career field? I swear, I'm going to be working retail for the rest of my fucking life. What am I doing wrong?
