I know it exists out there. I want to find a program that can help me buy, monitor and manage stocks. I saw ScottTrade, but it looks like a scam.

If you are this new at the whole process, Robinhood.

ScottTrade is not a scam. It's been around for-fucking-ever.
>>
Call the company & ask for some stock. They'll give you an address to mail/deliver the cheque & give you the stock in return.

Robinhood for meme chasing and play money (less than 1k unless you really know what you're doing)

UStocktrade for daytrading

TD Ameritrade or ScottTrade for LONG term investing

I am not an expert on cryptocurrency but to me it seems like most of the currency has too big of a supply to ever cost the same as a bitcoin.

When bitcoins were first released no one predicted they would make it this far so a huge number of coins were lost and are not even on the market.

Bitcoins maxed out at around $1250 and that was with massive hype and I don't see how any of the alt coins are going to ever get that kind of attention.

I think that even though the supply of monero is lower there are more in the market because they did not lose as many of the early coins like bitcoin did.

With Monero being adapted on the tor markets is it a safe long term investment?

Do you guys think the rising bitcoin cost is related to people buying btc on websites like coinbase to get in on Monero?

If a lot of people are buying bitcoins from websites like coinbase it is going to take a week for these purchases to clear.

Is it possible that when they clear in a week the prices are going to spike again from new people trying to get in?

Decent analysis... I've been a involved in Bitcoin for 6 years and Ethereum for 1 year now. Crypto has a lot of potential but right now all of the prices are based on speculation. If Bitcoin, Ethereum, or Monero were implemented in solutions that provided a significant advantage over traditional services we have no idea how high their market caps could go. Right now I would be careful with crypto because with the DAO hack and the Bitcoin progress stagnant (as well as mining centralization) its unclear weather any of the top tier cryptos will make it long term.

>all of the prices are based on speculation
This.

That $1250 number is made out of autistic hopes and wishes.
>>
>>1482229
Yea it's speculation but the bitcoin rise was also caused mostly by speculation.
The difference though is that most of these other coins have too much of an available supply to ever hit bitcoin level prices.

I recently started my own construction company. I rebuild, remodel, renovate and landscape and have a few contracts with city developers in my area. Everything Is going amazing, I just bought a new truck in cash, took the senpai on vacation in Turks. The only problem I have with the whole process is my bank.
I have a business account with them as well as some other smaller personal and credit things. I've been banking with them since I was 8. Never took out a loan, never been bankrupt, I don't even have any major debt (maybe $10,000 or so dollars but I pay it off that off completely every month).
I get a cheque from a client and it gets held, I get a certified cheque from a developer and it gets held, I get direct deposit from the city and it gets held. I'm not talking over night or even a week, I'm talking 15 days sometimes!
Now I get it, a lot people in the construction industry are scumbage scammers. I get the bank needs to protect itself. But Jesus Christ I have employees I have to pay, materials to buy, bills to pay! Taxes for the fucking government, you know the deal, I can't be waiting 15 fucking days every time I get paid for the bank to release the funds.
Is there anything I can do to make my bank stop this madness? Are there any institutions that are more business friendly? For reference I bank with TD Canada Trust.

I have the market cornered on 20 or so alt coins. A buddy of mine is up to like 100 different coins now that I also have shares in. Just find a shitty coin that fits your predefined criteria and ease your way in by quietly gobbling up sell orders. Once you can control the supply, you can manipulate the price however you want.

What's up, /biz/? I'm currently working in military intelligence and have realized that my endgame will be to start my own private intelligence firm.

Not right away as I only have 6 years exp, but down the line as I get into the civvy world of Intel as well and have developed my network. I have no business experience however and am wondering what kind of setbacks do you think would be apparent on such a venture?

It seems like the Govt loves to throw money at the private sector but I don't know how you would pitch your new hotness to the CIA, DIA, etc.

Entertain me if you would, guys. Thanks.

generally you don't pitch yourself to the gov.

they put out a notice that they need something, you and other qualified vendors respond to the notice, and they choose the best, cheapest one.

it's all very impersonal to prevent the appearance of any bias or favoritism in hiring firms.
>>
>>1482002
What intelligence would you be collecting?
>>
>>1482263
Focus on All source but would also be interested in Counterintel or HUMINT collection as well. I'm thinking most other INTs we'd acquire secondhand more than likely.

Okay /biz/ I need your assistance. I have $5000 dollars in cash in my brokerage account. I want to make 10% roi before in the of current year. Everything seems so volatile, I worried I'll pick a loser. Not a rich fag - only make $35K per year. It took awhile to save this much.

How long did it take you to save up $5000? Honestly if I were you I'd try to invest that on myself instead in some way, like gaining skills that will earn you even more money.

Am I the only one here who genuinely loves actual money? This stuff is magical. Such small pieces of paper that's almost worthless, yet it has the power to make your dreams come true. At this point just being able to touch and hold money is what motivates me to work hard and earn more of it.

Yes, you're the only one. The only special snowflake in the whole wide world. In fact, everyone here on /biz/ hates "actual money", have you noticed how they all buy crypto currencies?
