I've been in some companies that do this. Tech companies of all places. It's a joke.
What do you want?

Do companies get some form of "good boy points" for promoting more women?
maybe but from who?
Roger Ailes got 40 million good boy points, so I guess so

> infinitely mineable digital currency
> had value because memes
> hyperinflation much like infinite quantitative easing in the US
> no-one really used it like a real coin
Was a meme, never used practically for anything, had value because memes, and it's basically been inflated in oblivion. No-one wants to buy it because there is no use for it.
It was basically a pump and dump scam like 99% of all the cryptos that came out in late 2013 and 2014. I saw it a mile away and knew all of them were scams. It wasn't until things like namecoin or even dark coin came out that actually had a legitimate purpose over bitcoin and litecoin.
Some people made money while others did not, it was all pyramid schemes whether the original creators intended for it to be that way or not.
OP, this got me thinking so I looked it up. And yeah, it's real. Goddamnit.

How do I make money off the colonization of Africa? Is there even a way or is it just a meme?
>>1490063
It's a meme sadly.
If only the West would colonize Africa again and turn those savages into civilized people.
>>1490063
Nigga.
1. Its not the late 1800's anymore
2. All the billionares are going there when yellowstone blows sky high.
>>1490073
If the billionaires go there after the supervolcano or whatever, I would join them given that we can establish a westernized colony instead of living with savages.
sup /biz/ ive popped in here a couple times before but now im interested in becoming a /biz/nessman.
So is stock trading still mainly handled through brokers and exchanges as a barrier for lower people getting into economics or is there a website/app you can get, drop a couple hundred in and invest in what you want then sit back and watch it grow or flop while being able to sell or buy from the comfort of your home?
Are you 18?
>>1490064
You know the rules and so do I
>>1490054
Dude holy shit you're completely lost.
Go read a book for beginners. Maybe do Khan Academy - Economics and Finance section first.
I am currently living on $167 a week unemployment. I work my ass off for jobs that keep me at the bottom because I bust my ass at even the smallest tasks (Working hard and smart), I worked myself out of a job, now making HALF of what I was making, and really...I am, tired of someone getting rich off of my hard work.
What are my chances of starting a successful business? I live in a rural area, I am very good with computers (the only thing I don't know how to do is code) and have been fixing them for people since I was a teenager, I know how to weld. I have a perfect driving record (no accidents or tickets in the 12 years I've had a licence...since I was 16). I also have a $1200 investment portfolio. The problem is...I don't have the certs to show employers and possible customers I know what I am doing.
Am I screwed, or do I have a shot at least till I have enough money to move into a better area? Or should I just suck it up and be the mindless employee I was supposed to be?
>>1490053
I think you already know the answer - you have to break out. You sound desperate and driven - a good combination.
>I am very good with computers (the only thing I don't know how to do is code)
Computer repair/assembly is a race to the bottom. You need to specialize in something - e.g. making high end gaming PCs. Get yourself known in the twitch community as the guy to go to, so that locals can find you. The problem is it will take time (months).
Another possibility is sourcing parts, buying and selling.
>>1490059
My internet isn't fast enough for twitch. I have built gaming rigs for people, but I don't have the funds to like run a Tech Channel.
>>1490062
Also, I am working on a project right now, repurposing an old computer for a new task. I find it to be a fun thing to do. Perhaps I should film it, and start a new tech-centric channel.

I will if I get kicked out
>>1490002
Well you need job but no openings, might as well do it now rather than wait for the inevitable
Any of you guys do this with your homes? I hear more people are using these to generate income.
Seems like it could be a decent alternative to actually renting out another unit (like in a duplex or triplex) as there would be less maintenance involved.
Rule #1 arbnb; no non whites. No exceptions
>>1489993
Might as well not do it then. No such thing as white people

Is medicine, specifically specialties and surgeries a meme? Taking into account ROI/profits
>>1489974
Reason :
If you're willing to put in the work that is required to become a doctor, yet alone get into a decent med school you might as well do a 3 year Finance degree and get into a top tier WS firm,
Not even remotely a meme. But /biz/ is full of shit so they'll happily tell you that medicine is shit just to be edgy.
The real meme is doing a job you don't like for money.
Hi /biz/, my mom recently gave me $300 and told me to only invest it, but I have no clue about good entry-level stockbrokers, everything seems to be 1k or higher minimum.
Robinhood.
Or try investing in yourself

Tfw too smart to stay employees, but not dumb enough to start off with no investment money.
I'm building funds and branching out. Gonna make a consulting firm until I can branch into real estate.

What is the state of crypto-currencies in 2k16?
Sorry I missed the crypto-currency train, please teach me sempai.

Bitcons been dying since 2013 bro. Its just a slow death because bagholders are delusional.
If bitcoin dead why is it overvalued?
Bitcoin is not dying.
After segwit, we will have Lighting network (Fast transaction with low fees) and Rootstock (Smart contracts). After that there is confidential transactions for anonymity.

>Researchers found that purely rational behavior on the part of humans can come from a defect in the amygdala that blocks the emotions of the attachment, meaning that the subject is, literally, a psychopath. Could Soros have a genetic flaw that makes him rational as a decision maker?
What did he mean by this?
Taleb has continuously expressed his admiration for Soros' decision-making ability. Soros has put forward theories that people make decisions on imperfect information. Soros' decisions are less imperfect than most peoples', as seen by his record. Taleb credits this to Soros being a clinical psychopath (aka someone whose amyglada isn't developed enough for them to form emotional attachments whilst having the ability to feel fleeting emotions).
>>1490209
Man, Soros makes shitty calls all day long.
He went literally went all in on ONE major bet when he was like 35, and lived his whole life of the success of that one bet with medicore performance ever since.
A few months ago he was calling for a chinese 'hard landing' like it was going to be the collapse of china.
Never fucking happened. Probably lost like 10% of his net wealth on it lmao, but he's stfu about it.
No he isn't smart, clever or a good decision maker. He just bet big at the right time and got lucky enough to win.\
It's turtle theory ya know? Turtles lay like a hundred eggs on the beach. They all crawl towards the water. Like 5 of them make it, and they grow up to be 100 year old turtles.
You don't hear about the literally millions of jews that went all in on a bet and filed for bankruptcy/committed suicide.
