So I have a couple questions /biz/. I got this American Express card (pic related) and I don't know exactly what constitutes a SUPERMARKET. According to this text Walmart is not considered a supermarket, so therefore I wont get 3% back. Can anyone give me a complete list of what DOES qualify for the 3% cash back? Does winco and stater bros. Count as a Supermarket that isn't a superstore, or a superbox store? I can't find a complete list, or any more info as to what qualifies and what doesn't. Anyone shed some light please? Thanks in advance.

All those listed options serve primarily as food places, places to buy bread and shit.

Fucking learn some context clues, you were supposed to learn that in first fucking grade, dumbass.
>>
>>1643080
Nigger. Walmart sells bread and food dumbass, but yet its not on the list. Does the green walmart market only stores qualify then, and not the regular walmarts?

Jesus kid, use your damn head. If you can't do that, use your fingers and type "http://google.com" into your address bar.

Anyone here into network marketing? If so how is it? Any good or is it a pyramid scheme?

Hi. I'm actually trying to get my business to grow using the Internet. Right now, I'm joined in a company that sells a variety of nice products that I think a lot of people should look into.
>>
obvious pyramid scheme
>>
>>1643050
Nice try, but you're wrong. Lol

I started a business and I don't know where to go. It's a news web company that allows regular people to write news articles. The idea is that when people can write the news, it basically can't be corrupted because it is a creation 'of the people'.

I have an in-depth video describing what it's about here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Skxz5ufccrY

This is the website itself: http://www.1stamender.com

I need to find an investor. I am willing to put in the work and write a business plan but I am not sure how I can go about approaching the big wigs without seeming like another loser with an idea.

I also need to find ways to advertise the hell out of the website to make it popular with at least a thousand views a day to make money off of advertising. I cannot make an advertising campaign without showing how many people view.

I am tired of being poor. I have a room mate in a 2 bedroom apartment with a 1997 Isuzu Rodeo and I am in debt thanks to college.

I am working a job as a computer technician and trying to move up into being a web developer doing web dev projects projecting my earnings to go from 25k a year to about 50 if everything goes right.

I'm just tired of pushing and pushing and nothing happening. Can I get any 'successful' bros as to what you would do in my situation? I legit am working very hard to make my startup company big. But with a website that only sees about 20-40 sessions a day it is not happening any time soon. Any advice appreciated a ton!

As this is (in theory) a business board, I thought maybe we could have a business related discussion today.

I'm the Co-Owner of a medium-size construction business and when I finished this chart for our yearly review today, I thought you guys might want to take a look at it, because the relationship between technology and the workforce seems to be such a hot topic these days.

This chart shows the relation between company turnover and both internal and external employees. As a construction company we do planning, manufacturing and installation of various building related products to a few large scale customers i.e. general contractors. Those external employees are mostly installation workers we hire from subcontractors nearby the construction site.

The axes are scaled for 100k turnover per employee for the 91/92 business year. This isn't random, because 1992 was the year we reorganised the entire production process to CNC machining.

I think the trend is pretty clear. While the number of installation workers (a job that hasn't really been affected by technology that much) scaled pretty reliably with turnover, the number of internal employees has gone down and remained pretty much flat since then.

What are your thoughts?

Why all that fluctuation tho? Doesn't seem very healthy to me.
>>
>>1642947
We have about 5-7 big contracts per year that take on average about 2 years to complete so the numbers fluctuate a lot. Internally we generally evaluate performance based on a 3 year cycle.

In my experience, banks don't evaluate on a time frame of more than one year, how do you keep them satisfied?

If you have to ask, then it sounds like you're not a very good gold digger. Isn't that the most basic skill for them?

Stay poor, my friend.

wait for them to load up their bank app or website. Usually these accounts stay unlocked for like five minutes. If he's a rich guy he'll no doubt be looking at his stock portfolio every hour during the morning.

Catch him looking at that stuff and then find a way to grab his phone/computer. Usually his accounts will be linked so you'll be able to see all his financial data on one page.

I'm a Civil Engineer in the UK (Highways) , personally I think it's shit and I'd choose a different degree if I could do it again.
>>
>>1642778
What would you choose?

I was thinking about aerospace but I feel like modern engineers are all depressed office monkeys who never get to see the big picture of their work anyway, even if they work at places they're passionate about.

Eh I dont know I was better at Science/Maths but didn't want to be an accountant. For what it's worth my mate did Mechanical Engineering and got to travel the world earning about 3x what I do. Although I think work has slowed abit since the oil pullback the last year.

I got a job offer from a fairly small company that does building maintenance projects in another state.

The owner went through the formal interview process with me, checked all my references, and spoke with me over Skype.

He said he was going to "hold" the job for me while getting projects lined up, and that I could move between December and January.

He also promised me at least 32 hours of work per week at a decent hourly rate, but I am concerned about moving for sporadic work.

He has yet to contact me with a concrete start date or information on the projects at hand, and I am getting cold feet about moving.

Is this a red flag?

Beware of job postings like this on Craigslist or indeed. They're just out to get your identity. There's a lot of ads on indeed pretending to be popular companies but take you to a different website. Hope you didn't give them your SSN or drivers license information. Janitorial and property management are the most popular scam opportunities. Attracts a bunch of stupid applicants. I fell for one of these on indeed a few years back. Was a nightmare.

Fuck job sites. They don't monitor for scams or anything. I only do job searches on the state employment website now or if I see an ad I will Google the company website and see if the position actually exists and call their customer support line to confirm.
>>
>>1642706

It's not a CL ad.
>>
Can anyone else give me advice?

It's not a Craigslist deal, but the company is small.

I talked to the owner today, and he gave me a very rough outline of certain projects, but he said that he could find other people to hire if I was getting cold feet.

That was weird to me.

Let's discuss oil. Currently, I'm considering purchasing oil drilling companies' stocks. The latest OPEC meeting was bad news for the price of oil. However, theres a lot of things that could cause oil to explode.

1) Sanctions can be reimposed on Iran
2) Trump can impose tariffs on foreign oil

Currently, I have a small share amount with SDRL and RIG. SDRL is a beauty, though, the chances of bankruptcy I feel is negligent and the price has been beaten to oblivion despite the fact that it owns the most modern drilling rigs in the world. I think in two years, the price of oil will recover.

Should I major in Computer and Information Systems, Business Administration, or become an Electrician?

I would learn the electrician trade regardless of what else you do. We won't stop needing electricians for a long time, and that's probably the fastest path to a nice income out of the three. From there you can earn the funds to branch out.
