Hey guys, first time posting in this board but it seems to be the most appropriate for this sort of thing.
I'm looking to build an app but I have no knowledge in app design, however I have a test premise for an app that would have a lot of daily active users if it got recognised.
I'm looking for an app designer I could talk too?
If you're interested mail me on

PS: i'm sure its already been done
>>1640284
It's been done, but none to a credible quality

Does this look like a "trend" to you?
Yes, using the loosest possible definition of trend.
>>1640155
No it's the exact definition of trend, loose correlation is what you mean.
>>1640142
this is a mathematical trend by definition
however since the correlation coefficient is 0.19, I'd certainly think twice before making any decisions off of this information

> How is it free?
They invest your unsettled funds after a trade. It's also pretty basic shit.
> When is it coming to my country?
Never. They only have "plans" on an Australian beta.
> It's been X days, why isn't my account verified yet?
If it takes more than 3 days, email their support. They are very good.
> Is this the place to pump and dump and/or shill a worthless stock?
NO! THIS IS 4CHAN, A PLACE OF POLITENESS AND PROFESSIONALISM!!!
> I hit sell when the stock was X.XX, but it actually sold at a lower price, am I being jewed?
No, that would actually be illegal. Robinhood graphs are just shit and only show you an average, not-really-realtime price. To get Bid/Ask prices and important things like candlestick graphs, you should use a more robust platform. -- (also learn difference between LIMIT and MARKET orders!!!)
> Where can I get better charting or bid/ask?
thinkorswim is bretty gud if you want a 2nd account with real broker.
Otherwise you should be using stockcharts.com, finviz, or a non-pile-of-shit for your graphing in addition to Robinhood.

Interesting.
Yeah. Bump for interest. Kinda like the beebs. Just hit a niche and ride it into the ground.
Fuck. Look at Fredd Durst. He's an absolute faggot. Or the Kardashians.
Makes u think.
Ice created a whole culture tho. Given its a bunch of makeup wearing Junio sporting hipster wannabe faggots. But they pioneered jugular and profited greatly.
>>1640033
Idiots.
You have to realize that many people get rich because they cater to idiots. Look at QVC, infomercials, the Snuggie, etc...
CGC, APH, OGI, ACB, etc

We discuss competing business cycle theories, Austrian here
>>1639978
Austrian economics is bullshit because praxeology is retarded.
Bls no hate krugman
He is as much of a good guy as he is stupid
>>1639978
Post-Keynesians have the best understanding of the business cycle.
Austrians are absurd. As are Necolassicals like Krugman.
When will this retarded app economy bubble crash?
>>1639865
If you look at the ratio winners vs losers then it already crashed a million times.

When people will stop using smartphones and something else will replace them.
I have just turned 18 and graduated high school.
What can I do to help ensure that I am financially comfortable well into my adult hood, where I have the freedom to do things I want to do (within reason) whilst not being limited by my financial position?
I currently have a part-time job only earning a few hundred a week (due to school and other commitments), and I am going to university.
I would like to become more financially literate, what are some good resources so I can learn?
Don't marry, don't have kids, don't get into debt.
/biz/ is the best place to learn financial literacy.
>>1639863
It at least has people with some life experience.
More of a question for Australians since it's pretty fucked over here.
I'm 24, gonna have about $100K saved up by the end of next year and looking to buy a house after that.
For example, would buying in the premium suburbs in Melbourne be a good way of mitigating risk? My thinking is those suburbs will always be desirable so what could go wrong? :^)
I was in sanctuary lakes the other day what the deal with that place?
If you think there is no bubble, buy now or buy after the correction.
>>1639828
m8 people have been waiting for the correction for over a decade.
>>1639822
>$100k
> Buying in a premium suburb
Pick one
Why arn't you guys following something like pic?
You analyse intrinsic value of stocks, find a few undervalued, and purchase regardless of conditions.
After that you start trading on the buy low sell high concept, one of your stocks rise 5% sell a little bit of it, and consequently the stocks that fell 5% you buy a bit more of.
Rinse and repeat based on observations.
You'll probably lose a little to start but far less than just going all in on one or two, plus it allows you to figure out entrance and exit indicators.
>>1639812
Because I make more just buying VOO every two weeks.
Because comissions, also efficient market theory.
So your not a trader and clearly don't deserve this but here:
Stocks usually don't move that much, a 0.3% or 0.1% move is huge in safe investments like blue chip stocks and sector wide etfs. The most risky securities like 3x etfs and penny stocks in the most risky sectors move 5% to 12% a day, but they aren't normal stocks and don't behave like stocks. JNUG can fall and fall and fall and not rise, UGAZ can rise and rise and not fall.
So if you tried your strategy you wouldn't make much money on safe securities unless you were already a millionaire and had the capital to dilute yourself. In the world of risky biotech shit caps this strategy would fall apart in news cycles and at best, you'd end up at the same capital you started with after months of waiting for a pop and bagholding garbage like MSTX and NVAX (plus maximum risk exposure)
> tfw you make your first 50 buckaroos off the stock market
I knew I could do it guys, we're all gonna make it
never forget the feeling anon, when your staring at a lot of money and all the percentages are fractions, never forget that 50 bucks is 50 bucks
>>1639800
every dime is worth in blood
i hope you make it big anon... I made my first $50 off the stock market, but it took half a year to make the 50 bucks.. Low risk grandpa stocks for my first taste of trading. The feeling was good, but wasnt ecstatic because it took so long.
I made my first solid $1000 from selling off my bitcoin, after it spiked. Felt very good, like a mini adrenalin rush.
May good fortune bless us in our endeavors
Why do people think that "universal basic income" is possible and not just communism in capitalistic wrapping paper?
A dollar is supposed to signify labor. If you aren't actually doing labor and you're getting money for free, where does the value of the dollar come from?
If such a system were to be implemented, people would just go back to bartering because the dollar would be worth squat
Fuck capitalism and fuck white people
>>1639774
I'm not even white
>>1639772
Capitalism works on inequality. You're very smart.
They aren't necessarily stupid though, we don't need quite this much inequality for it to work.
/biz/ lets get serious for a second. Why are you doing all this? Why are you striving to be wealthy and be considered "Successful"? Is it some sort of obligation? Do you have a burning passion to be the best version that you can be economically? Or is it that you think that being able to buy the best "stuff" will make you happy? Maybe its one of the above. Why?
>>1639735
i want to be able to eat healthy, not have to worry about bills, have a decent capability to live life
>>1639736
So you're after the bare-bones of living with no obligations. How about a bit beyond that? Like maybe getting a supercar for wow factor
I want to pursue things that I find pleasure in, and to be able to afford my pilots licence one day.
Also, security. Living week to week is terrifying and I'm always stressed.
Hey guys, NoSkills30yo back again with a bit of an update on what's going on.
Turns out that my perfectionism is somewhat hindering to my little lawn care start up. I've been researching non stop on different models of equipment to get the best value I can, and also because if any of it shits itself then I'll be fucked in the early stages.
What this brought to light however is that I am in a financial hole I need to get out of. A decent mower, whipper snipper and trailer all up are going to set me back about $2,000 aud. So I need to knuckle down and just work overtime at my depressing factory job to earn the sheckles to buy the shit.
Excpet overtime goes to the guys that have been there for 20+ years. I've already budgeted as best I can and that can get me there in a few months, but I need to get out of this place and start getting customers now while it's coming into grass cutting season.
I have a few hundred in the bank, and $500 in bunnings vouchers given to me by friends and family the other week. I'm sorry to always be taking and never really giving back to you guys, and I hate starting "How to get money plz" threads but I am hoping another ausfag or someone who has been in my position can offer some advice.
Ultimately the goal is to clear the 20k debt before starting the business, but I'll settle for ways to raise the initial $2k start up.
What I've learned thus far:
Seems I can get away with charging anywhere between $70-$100 per job. Jims does $99 for their jobs, but I have less overheads, so I can undercut them since I'm just one guy.
Local resales of lawn care equipment that isnt terrible chink shit thats either brooken or breaking doesn't exist in australia. I scour Gumtree every few hours and nothing good ever really comes up. Craigslist is only good for sexual deviates and weed in aus.
I need to set up an ABN and look into getting business insurance, which I plan to do when I stop working at the factory and begin running the business full time.
My plan of attack is to stay where I am, but to mow yards during the weekends and after work when no one can be fucked doing anything. Once I break what I'm bringing home weekly (including tax and super) I'll hand in my resignation and use the free time to chase up leads and market myself.
Am I destined to fail, /biz/?
You'll never know until you try, breh.
>perfectionism is somewhat hindering
You and me both. I'm still learning the art of 'good enough'.
Have you tried posting want ads for stuff that people might have languishing in their garages?
I'll happily fund your venture next year for a cut of the business. Reply if you're keen.

Whats the most pathetic thing you've had to do because of your financial problems /biz/?
My worst was having to go to mcdonalds and steal ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise packets so I could go home and make what I call a condiment soup which is putting all condiments in a bowl and eating it like a soup, I had to do that for every meal for almost a week
I guess everyone here is rich if they have never had to do something like I had to do
I've had to answer online surveys for like $3 an hour because I'm too autistic to get a job. Got lucky enough to be hired as min. wage security guard and it's easy af
One time I was hungry, had no food in my apartment. Went to the Taco Bell drive through for a bean burrito. My debit card was rejected, had no money in there. Tried to use my credit card with a $500 limit, also rejected. Told them I'll be right back, have to run to the ATM. Never went back. Went hungry until my next paycheck.
