For those who spent the majority of their life (as of today, doesn't matter the age) in poverty who now make more than enough, how did you it? What's your story?
>>1645148
Worked hard, lived frugally and maximized value.
>>1645151
That's really great! I'd love to hear the details of your personal triumphs?
I was a college student on scholarship.
Starting going to clubs, and guys would come up to me and offer sex. I did it once for $200.
I immediately got smart and put up Craigslist listings 2 towns over.
$200 an hour, and I probably fucked 3 different people per day, worked only on weekends.
I found out about BTC when it was in the $10 range. When you're making $2400 a month with no bills, why not?
After I graduate college I get a job as a bank teller. Low pay, but I had no debt. My income doubled. Sold my car and bought a motorcycle.
I currently make 6k a month as a bank teller and a prostitute.
And I'm a boy.
Why aren't luxury books a thing?
Bound them in leather and make them look fancy. Whatever is inside caters to richfags, sjws and hipsters.
Once the ball is rolling make a series of limited books that are gold plated and encrusted in diamonds, each with a free IPhone.
>>1645139
What is hardcover book? (I own many leather bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.)
>>1645139
They are; check out publishers like the Easton Press and the Folio Society. Or if you want artisan level works of illuminated manuscripts check out http://randyasplund.com/
The reason why they arent more popular is that books are not status symbols anymore.

I am currently a college studetn who got an offer as a programmer for a nice sum. I'm receiving a singning bonus of $2k, but it will not disburse until 90 days after I start. How do I go about negotiating this signing bonus to actually be when I sign? Can I just ask? I have competing offers but this one is clearly the best.
>>1645117
a signing bonus that doesn't clear for 90 days is to be determined on performance in my experience.
>>1645117
It's to attract and keep workers.
I wouldn't be surprised if accepting the bonus means you have to commit to a year or something.
>>1645117
If you have no previous work experience, then I wouldn't push my luck if I were you. Just sign the contract.
HOLY SHIT I JUST HEARD HER VOICE FOR THE FIRST TIME
>>1645102
>tfw a woman has a deeper voice than you
>>1645102
Our professor played a news clip of her in an interview for Theranos in one of my biomedical engineering classes. The whole class laughed out loud.
God I want to hatefuck her.
I'm 18, going to be out of high school this year and I want to know my what are some of the little tips I can do to make money, put money away for the future, and get off on the right foot going into college.

As for college im decently smart and iv been doing and getting small scholarships since about a year ago, so college money im alright.
I'm pretty smart, I've decided im going to cut off the video games and distractions in my life, and it's time to get serious.

Well stop doing it unless you want to be a doctor.
Guys i tell you the most valuable thing i learned today. If you want to be rich, you have to start a business. You haven't got money for it so you have to raise it.
- Kickstarter
- Venture Capitalist
- Angel Investors
These are the only ways to get capital. Just start working on a business plan and try it. Don't give up if you haven't talked to atleast 100 investor. Thats the only way. I can't raise a capital with wagecuck job.
You need employees. Don't hire the bests. They are expensive. Hire your friends and teach them.
>>1645081
>If you want to be rich, you have to start a business.
sure.
>You haven't got money for it so you have to raise it.
and that's where you fucked up.
>>1645090
Tell me other alternatives pls.
>>1645094
Apply for a bank loan.
Start a business that doesn't require capital to get going.
Get your customers paying before you buy what you need to start a business.
or any combination of these.
In real life most business owners don't go out and get capital to start a business. They progress from being employed, to being self-employed, to employing others. They may or may not put money into their business at some point in the progression.
What's your endgame, /biz/?
>>1645057
To be sustainable enough to never have to eork under another person ever again. I don't want to be a wageslave for life or work in a shitty office job. I want to be well off and move to the city. I believe its totally attainable but I need the right mind set.
>>1645057
Make anime great again.
>>1645057
Get to the point financially that I'd never need credit for any (personal) purchases.
What does /biz/ think of...
>The Federal Reserve Act (ch. 6, 38 Stat. 251, enacted December 23, 1913, 12 U.S.C. ch. 3) is an Act of Congress that created and established the Federal Reserve System, the central banking system of the United States, and which created the authority to issue Federal Reserve Notes (now commonly known as the U.S. Dollar) and Federal Reserve Bank Notes as legal tender. The Act was signed into law by President Woodrow Wilson.
>>1644997
>create federal reserve
>become wealthiest, most powerful nation on the planet for decades
seems fine
>>1645001
How does a nation profit from this, apart from the private owners?

Is Binary Options legit?
I'm looking into binary options as well. Following thread.

Why? A lot of people claim to make a living out of this. But I'm not sure because seems too good to be true
So I'm changing my major from Engineering to Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting. My question is how would I afford graduate school? I read that employers want at least a master's when it comes to Business. I have zero money and I'm in the poorer side. I'm going to Cal Poly Pomona because of the cheap cost. Can I get the majority of my tuition paid off like with the Bachelor's or is it that only the rich can get it? I see the tuition in some schools and most of them are 40K to 60K per year. Assuming I spend four years, at the low end, I would be at 160K in debt, and if I take out student loans, that would be 160K+ interest. I just can't do that in good conscience.
You read wrong, senpai. You'll be fine with a bachelor's in accounting.
>>1644910
this
study like crazy for the cpa exam your senior year, pass it right after graduation, and enjoy your guaranteed 70k+ salary while working for your master's
once you meet the certification requirements in your state, you're set for life my dude

And you're stuck in the most fucking boring career ever. Shit.
>Save and invest your entire life
>Millions saved
>Some fucking Ivan or Chang hack your brokerage account and take all your money
Is it literally that easy? This could happen at any time?
This never happens
>>1644848
What makes you think that something in this existence is perfect in its design? Sooner or later exploits to anything are made. Especially if we are talking about technology, every update opens new challenges for hackers.
>>1644857
Exactly
So how are we to live our lives? Would the brokerage return your money and holdings? Hacks seem so common this seems like it would be a cinch.
>tfw 1 billion isn't even a lot of money anymore

Hi /biz/ members,
looking to start a trade to help people learn the general basics about trading stocks, can we use this thread as a place to answer questions such as....
-best softwares to manage stocks? (thinkorswim, etc)
-best learning resources? (preferably not some scam teacher, lets try to find actual good books, youtubers etc)
-How to find what stocks to buy?
Just general discussion to learning stock market.
How much should I start with? Also recommended reading would help.
Like there's a person who knows where the market is heading LOL
Oh yea forgot there are technical analysts who can predict based on candles and sticks LOL again
>>1644752
Anyone who would come here to learn doesn't have enough capital by definition.
But that's ok, someone will be along shortly to tell you how you really only need $100 because moon memes, free commissions, etc.
If a monopoly currently produces 100 units of output at $50 each and elasticity of demand is 0.8, the firm:
a. is not maximizing profit
b. is experiencing a loss
c. is earning a profit
d. may increase revenue to more than $50 by selling one more unit of output
Do your own microecon homework
>>1644749
I'm trying it's hard.
I'm the elasticity of demand means that they are selling ~80 units?
How do we know what their profit margin is if we don't know the cost of production?
