Is it possible to find a quality web dev for cheaper than western costs?
somebody who can make a high quality intuitive UI, backend stuff, and knows about security and how to not make slow bloated bullshit
where do I look

>somebody who can make a high quality intuitive UI, backend stuff, and knows about security and how to not make slow bloated bullshit
You already know the answer. People who know how to do these things and are willing to freelance command a premium.
Hmm.
As a related question, what sort of cost can I expect to pay someone competent to make (just as an example, it's not exactly what I'm looking for) a file upload/host website.
Imagine the following features
- file upload page, resuming if there are connection failures etc
- storage on Amazon s3 or similar
- simple account system that lists uploaded files, delete function etc (also ability to use without an account). Probably using Amazon dynamo DB
- file view page, with various sharing options
- collection of access statistics
- daemons to perform pruning, deletion of rarely accessed files etc
- maybe some system to convert files into different types before download (via ffmpeg)
- maybe daemons to auto handle copyright takedown emails, and an admin panel for this showing recent takedowns and with ability to restore files that were auto-taken down
Am I looking at $10s of K?
Creative and unconventional retirement ideas.
Alright /biz, we all know that nobody wants to work, pay bills, and die. Through vigorous study and investing I am on my way to early retirement. However I still wish to have redundant backup plans and would like to leave my heirs well off as my legacy when I go.
I have decided that planting black walnut trees could be an option for many reasons.
>they have been valuable since the 1700s
>they average a roughly 14% ROI with 0 taxes until harvest or sell making them a safer bet than most stocks
>I don't fucking trust the stock market or a 401gay anyway
>I can lease the land out to cattle ranchers to pay the property tax on my 15 acres lot
>in a few years I can harvestell the nuts and thin out the little bitch trees for a profit.
>with deforestation I may qualify for lower property tax?
>if I ever get my sawmill and woodshed done and get a wild hair I can harvest my own freeish wood to make furniture and increase my income from them
>I could borrow or rent a truck with kiln dried ready to use boards and deliver in person a truckload of any size boards anywhere in the lower 48.
>I never need to buy furniture of any kind again
>i'my 30 and in about 39 years I can wipe out my forest for the equivalent of $100,000 per acre in today's dolars. So whatever 1.5 million give or take will be in our new money once our fiat fucking dollar finally folds.
short of a drought wich only happened twice in my 30 years and wasn't horrible or bag worms what other problems could I have?
I have access to a few water trucks. Natural springs. And I will build a flame thrower drone or some other method of reaching those faggot bag worms with fire.
I live near the land and can tend to it easily. Plus my rancher can alert me of any major bagworm infestations.
Any reason not to do this? Can I get a better use out of shitty rocky land in kansas?
How long before they start producing walnuts?
>>1643873
Looks like 4-7 years. Depending on the cattle rents it should more than cover the property tax and pruning equipment costs. Nuts would be a plus. Will use any extra to purchase more land and trees and hopefully grow into a small fortune. They seem to grow well around here. I would wager closers to the 4 or 5 year mark. I'll likely Frankenstein a pickup into a tree shocker and do my own harvesting. Pretty sure monster garage built one?
>>1643873
Actually there is a cranky douchebag in my town already doing this. It's how I got the idea. My only real fear would be all of them dying somehow or there being a surge in them poping up and making it useless. No point in worrying about shit that may never happen tho. And I like walnut. So old man me will likely have a wood shop and plenty of lumber to build things with I guess. And was a typo. My spellcheck is almost as dumb as me. Can log in 30 years or so and replant for maximum productivity. Even more so I may grow starter trees a few years and replant to speed things up. I may decide to cut them or sell somewhere along the way but as far as a pretty much set it and forget it investment goes it seems legit. It's a physical asset that you can touch. The land is paying for itself I hope. And if I need to liquefy all I need is a chainsaw. Not to mention it almost 0 depends on what the markets or economy does until 30 years from now when I decide to sell.
I'm a worthless NEET my parents have finally given up and offered to buy me a house and pay for it. Would you take this if it was offered to you? Or would pride prevent you from taking it?
>NEET

You have none to begin with. May as well take the house.

In wich European country self employed person are not ruined by taxes ? In my country ( France ) this shit is insane. They take you 28% of your net sales every trimester, and 47% of your benefits every year. I worked on my projet for 3 years, and started to do undeclared work because I don't want to be fucking slave. So, I plan to leave, but where ? ( in Europe ) help me to choose.
>>1643838
Nowhere. Europe pays for entire other nations with the tax revenue of their populations.

>constantly get fired for not being outgoing enough
>co-workers are almost always more outgoing than me
>they get along better with female colleagues, often in HR positions who are in control of your job
>female colleagues ALWAYS hate me
Fuck. how do I solve this problem? I'm already in my late 20s, so I'm fucked right?

Are you ugly? Even guys that are autistic are treated well if they're "handsome" enough to women. Literally, they get excused for a lot of shit when they're good looking like you wouldn't believe. Bonus points if they aren't autistic, then they get the higher positions pretty fast.
So OP, I bet you're probably not very good looking, since awkward guys can be "cute" to women if they look good. Maybe try losing weight and getting /fit/ as well as try to improve your looks in general.
You will discover in life really fast that good looking people are automatically treated better just on that, you also get sympathy points more easily too, more likely to make friends, etc.

Should everyone have some of their money in Bitcoin or some kind of cryptocurrency? Like in case of some crazy death of the America fiat dollar or something, which would cause BTC to skyrocket, should people have bitcoins just in case?
Yes you should! I think there big gains availably in the coming 10 years. BTC is pumping as i speak
>>1643587
when it reaches 800 a lot of bagholders will be dumping and never looking back i'm afraid.
Cryptocurrency is fucking worthless for anything except buying illegal shit on the internet. And when the American dollar dies, this world will be on fire from the Bering Strait to Van Diemen's Land.
I've never checked my credit rating before. What site should I use? Any credit rating red pills I should swallow?
>>1643287
you shouldn't be using a credit card unless you're autistic and want like 1% cash back
>>1643292
There's plenty of things right about using a credit card and always paying it off every month. Literally no reason not to.
>>1643287
This is the one that is not a scam:

I suggest getting one report at a time, and space them out over the year, rather than getting them all at once.
My father owns an Electrical business and most of his employees are his brothers or close friends, and a few are apprentices. He makes around $480,000 a year but he is getting old and wanted to hand it down to me. I've been studying business for a long time, but can someone give me some insight on how I can expand this and what to do with the old workers he has?
Why fix what isn't broken? 480k puts you in top 1% here. Don't get greedy and fuck things up. Follow your dad for a few years. Ask him to mentor you. Keep in mind that most 2nd generation businesses fail
>>1643267
I'm willing to take that risk. I have a good backup plan as well. My father is an electrician himself, and he does a lot of work too. He teaches people and leads them.
I don't want to fuck up employing new people. His brothers are in their 50's while he just turned 67 and is sick. Since I'm not as close with my uncles and they are getting old as well I need new people. If anyone knows about trade, it would be nice to help me out.
>>1643280
Take a short electricians course so at least you have an idea of the basics of the job if you don't already.
A big reason why businesses fail when the owner retires is the employees do not respect the new boss.
Or the old boss keeps sticking around and overruling the son's decisions.
Consider going out on jobs with your dad first, then other workers just to get a feel of what they usually do and how each person works.
The idea is to learn who of your workers will cause problems, so you know who to replace when the time comes.
Long term workers have earned the old boss's trust and usually get the liberty to make executive decisions.
You will encounter some that act like contractors, and not employees. Some will think they don't need to follow your orders and outright ignore them.
None of your old employees will think you are fit to lead. Especially your uncles. Be prepared for this.
Make it clear that everyone can be replaced and anybody who isn't fully on board will be fired.
What do you think about Keynesian and supply side economics

I have the chance to use my dying grandparents credit card before she croaks in about 2 weeks. I'm thinking I can use the credit card to buy a new washer and dryer so that when she dies it will be on her card and I won't have to pay it. She doesn't have land or a house, but she has a car in her name and 200k in stocks which will transfer on death. I'm concerned that the credit card company will try and take the car to pay the debt on the card. There is no will and my brother and I are the only ones to receive the inheritance. She only has the stocks, the car and a retirement account that's it.
>Will this work?
>Is there a catch?
>Are you a jew?
The banks/collections will seize any assets to pay off debts.
If your Mom dies with $200K in debt and she owns a $140K home and $10K in the bank, don't expect to keep anything. They'll take what they can get then write off the rest.
Go ahead and buy what you want, but it won't be free money. You'll have to pay it or they'll likely take it out of her stocks or car. Doubt they'd liquidate a house for a little credit card debt, but it's possible.

i'm thinking on dropping college , and i need something to work on the web that does not require a degree. can you guys help me out on what you do to get some money online ?
TY <3
Option 1) Learn programming. Stay in school while you do because you can't even type proper English, you probably won't be able to write a fucking for loop.
Option 2) Do some shit like make websites that people fill out surveys on or make them read your website (ad revenue). Stay in school, because I doubt you're smart enough to write compelling enough articles that are optimized for Google to list them, and therefore won't make more than $5 this way.
Option 3) Buy shit from China and sell it on Amazon or FeeBay (that's eBay if you're too dumb to figure out). But this probably isn't going to work for you since you probably don't have a few thousand dollars to buy any shit to sell from.
tl;dr: just give up on your dreams and stay in school.
Even though you're a jerk, Thanks :)
>>1643091
No worries, I actually dropped out of college and succeeded with option 1 (now make $230k/year after taxes, took five years). Didn't drop out until I made my first program and successfully started getting income from it. Took two years, which is a total of seven years of planning and implementing.
Don't drop out until you see the money. A degree is a great back up.
