Is being a chef for a big hotel a good way to make big buck?
>>1776613
Just what i needed, thanks.
>>1776605
no.
You'll work your fingers to the bone for 3 to 5 years just to make it to sus chef, at which point you MIGHT hit $50k a year.
Then after a lot more work, you MIGHT end up at $60k/$70k a year as a head chef.
And the entire time you'll be yelled at, belittled, and work 60hr work weeks.
The only route I would recommend for chef types is to open your own restaurant. At least then you are the boss, and won't be abused by someone else.
> I know 2 restaurant owners, a head chef, and a sus chef.
How do I get into sports betting? Websites? Is it safe? . I live in virginia.
>>1776579
I just called the cops. Sports betting is illegal in the State of Virginia.
>>1776597
prove it shitrag

Go on Bovada. Sign up. Give them your credit card.
Yes it's perfectly safe thanks to legal loopholes protecting offshore casinos, and classifying online gambling as "entertainment"
i have a job interview next week and i want to fail this interview because i don't want this job
how do i fail my interview without looking like i'm a jerk?
i already agree for the interview, is there a good excuse to cancel this interview in a polite manner?
I don't want to make up lies like "I just got hired". If they find out I'm lying it'll damage my reputation.
Just tell them you have had second thoughts and want to think it over some more before any interview.
>>1776535
Just tell them you're expecting a MUCH BETTER pay than they are offering (regularly). If it's a $40/hr job, say that you're looking for a company paying $100/hr.
You'll never get the job, and IF you do, you will be paid A LOT more. Faggot.
How do I apply for a new job when the only place I can get references from is my current job?
Ask your co workers at your current job if you can use them as references for your new job
>>1776508
please not
>>1776467
You don't have a professor to bat for you?
Hey biz, I've probably spent $300 on trumpcoin and lost about half of it. I'm planning to spend another 1000 on it since the price is lower. Do you think it will go up? or is it dead and I'm wasting my money?
>>1776196
>spending real money on the meme market
>>1776211
the memes are real
>>1776211
I know it's a meme but I just want to build my bitcoin stash quick
>friend is poor
>nobody hangs around him except me
>he gets rich
>stops hanging around me and instead goes for the people that didnt like him in the first place
Is this human nature?
Most normie social relationships are mercenary in nature. That's been the case since middle school anon.
I like associating with people who aren't wealthy. You can buy a pizza and they're actually happy.
In a strict sense all of my friends were lower middle or legit lower class in my youth and many of them are wealthy now. We still hang out with the same crowd.
>>1776188
I'll be your friend anon, I'm not rich in finances but I'm wealthy in tastes
Can anyone get me the manufacturerer information for these lights?? Would love to skip the middle man on these... or if anyone else has any info on other LED grow lights they could share if really appreciate that too
>>1775974
>he doesn't know about CHYYYNAA
I'm aware of China lol I just don't want garbage and if I could filter out all the counterfeit people out there this wouldn't be an issue
>>1776026
people actually travel to china and inspect the manufacturers themselves before sourcing for parts. why do you think people would just give out free information to you for nothing in return?
Has anyone had any success cold calling firms. I know there is a low success rate but is it just a complete meme? I'm a sophomore finance major, and all of these fucking internships want juniors or higher.
Let's hear some of your cold calling stories/experiences/tips etc.
Makes you seem desperate. Just apply online and go to hiring fairs.
>>1775757
Well, I am a little desperate. I've applied to over 100 jobs online in the last 2 months and have only gotten one interview. There is a hiring fair at my uni next week, but I researched every position and they all require juniors. I may just go and hand people my resume anyways because there is nothing to lose.
>>1775750
It will be hard to reach someone who is actually important and might be able to help unless you have a direct line. If you just look up their phone number online and ask, you won't get much help.
is a person with a degree in Economics more likely to make money in the stock market or is it a complete meme?
Economics is a meme degree.
You want a data analyst that is also a statician and also a competent programmer.
>>1775680
>You want a data analyst that is also a statician and also a competent programmer.
does a person with these skills more likely to make money in the stock market?
I'm trying to figure if the numbers on these fucking graphs even mean anything
I think it really comes down to what the company is doing and how it's doing it
like do these math formulas actually work on the stock market? if they did there would be way more rich mathematicians than there are today
>>1775689
Do all mathematicians desire to go to casinos and count cards?
Didn't an AI recently beat the world best at Texas Hold Em?
Pretty much all banks have a bunch of programmers and mathematicians devoted especifically to investment.
The stock market is run by bots dude.
What are some good accounting jobs to have before/during college(for accounting).
>No degree
>No experience in field
I'm not talking crazy good salary but rather something to get an idea of the industry.

I've just been diagnosed with incurable blindness. How do I make money off of this?

I have a BS in mechanical engineering and I was about to start a PhD track program in computational aerospace engineering. I've been a straight shooter all my life and then this happens.
I should have partied more, fuck.

Hey guys, I've found myself at a crossroad in life, I recently got out of the military and I'm back in the real world all alone.
I was homeless before I enlisted and a good friend let me stay at his place in Oregon so I can get on my feet.
What I'd like to ask you all is, how do I actually get on my feet? I've been living paycheck to paycheck for too long and I want to be the first one in my family to make a million.
I'm almost broke and I I'm banking on my tax return to carry me over until I start college, once in college I get 1800 from the DoD for living cost a month, how can I maximize this and eventually get out of my buddies hair and into my own place?
Any advice would be appreciated
>pic unrelated, I'm a /k/ommando at heart
>>1774966
Shame the government doesn't do more to teach our boys basic finances.
That's where you start anon, the basics. I mean damn basic too, head to the library and pick up some books for free... don't get too hardcore, grab simple titles "money 101" and "for dummies" type stuff.
Real simple stuff, but it gets you started.
I'd recommend being honest with your buddy. He might think you're just a month away from moving out or something. Let him know your situation and that you're actively changing it.
Also, go talk to the counselor at the school and any counselor the military has available and take advantage of literally every single program/option they throw at you.
Best of luck, thanks for serving
Read the Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey. You can probably find an old copy at a thrift store or a public library. This stuff is ESSENTIAL, don't waste time overthinking it, just READ IT. Immediately save up 1000 dollars in cash and DO NOT TOUCH IT, this is your emergency fund. Do you have any debt? Start paying all debt off starting with the smallest and working your way up, do this fast as you can, selling all pointless expensive shit you own in the process. While you're doing this increase your income in simple ways. Start delivering pizzas at night. You can easily add 2000 dollars a month this way. Read. Work on your soft skills. The military can make you harsh and reclusive, prone to alcoholism. Read How to Win Friends and Influence People. Take that shit seriously, it's important to make connections with people if you want a good job. Last but not least, GO TO SCHOOL FOR SOMETHING WITH A DECENT ROI, this is very important as you will be fucked if you sell yourself short and get an art degree or psychology degree or english, etc. I'm in the military and it sucks man, you make barely anything as an enlisted and you are severely overworked and stressed. Good luck bro.
>>1774966
If you left the military without any money saved you're retarded. They literally provide everything to you for free then pay you money on top of that.
If you haven't done so already I suggest to get rid of your Challenger or Mustang and get drunk on less expensive liquor.
ITT books every /biz/nessman should read

I sent some XCP to my rare pepe wallet so I could buy Pepecash (and for some reason I know have a few cents worth of BTC as well now) but whenever I try to buy Pepecash with XCP on the Big Board it says not enough BTC available, what am I doing wrong here?

You need to put like $10 of Bitcoin in your rarepepewallet
Does anyone else get infuriated by other peoples' parents giving them everything?
I don't think there's a more infuriating thing than hearing that some normies' parents bought them a car and paid their entire college tuition.
Like what the fuck? Why do I have to cover the cost of all this bullshit while some fucking normie gets to live for free and enjoy saving up $250k by the time he's 25?
HOW is this fair? WHY is this fair?

I'll never be able to compete. It's pretty much futile.
It just fills me with so much rage that while I work and save and invest into Index funds like a good little cuckold, people are literally going on $10k vacations every month and #TURNINGUP with their parents money.
How the fuck is this fair?
it fills me with so much rage, I can understand why people become criminals now. I can understand why people want to inflict their vengenace on the world.
