CNC operators are in huge demand, though.

I suggest you look around on the Department of Labor website and see what's supposed to increase in demand and is also not retardly simple to do.

Also, law is always a safe bet as society creates ever more convoluted laws on every aspect of life possibly conceivable.

Narrow it down to what catches your interest and what you can stand. For both categories get some ballpark figures for jobs and their salaries. Add in quality of life shit (e.g. doctors have astronomical suicide rates, actuaries live dull lives in Omaha, etc.) and you'll have a good idea of what to do, whether that involves college or not.

People wonder why college tuition is so expensive, consider you need a degree to make minimujm wage in the modern labor market. That and the gov't offers loans and grants. They can literally (literally) charge whatever they want for a college degree.

You vastly underrate the difficulty of the German language thinking you can make the kind of advances that take young minds 3 years in "probably a month or two". German is widely regarded as the most difficult latin alphabet language for an english speaker to learn, aside from Hungarian/Finnish/Uralic nonsensespeak.

Uber was a good way to make a few bucks 3 or 4 years ago, but that is now a less-than-minimum-wage position.
