>A betting site for predicting happenings.

Yes a site literally profiteering on the death and destruction caused by kek. Users will be able to place bets on things such as the date of the next major earthquake/natural disaster, the date of the next major economic crisis, political events such as the outcomes of scandals, terorist attacks, BLM riots, ayy lmao invasion, literally whatever you can think of.

Furthermore users will also be able to place bets on numerous scenarios happening LIVE before they are revealed offficially such as:

>the religion/race of the terrorist of a recent happening
>the estimated death toll of a recent earthquake, plane crash or school shootings
>the likelihood of success of an upcoming SpaceX rocket launch

Now go be rich my /biz/realis. GO.

How to make a good shilling selling fine art? I see the most ridiculously goofy looking paintings hanging in businesses around my area. I imagine the artists were paid a pretty penny. I also assume some money laundering was involved. How the fuck does that even work? Does the artist get a cut?
Anyway, what are some ways an artist can sell their paintings and make quite a bit of money- whether the art is good or not?
I don't think I'm that bad but there's always room for improvement.

I mean, I don't get it.. do I just walk in and talk to business owners? I heard anonymously from someone that his father's company (which was a legit business) laundered money to avoid outrageous taxes, by buying paintings at auctions and letting them sit them being able to write them off or some shit?

I mean I'm not trying to get into illegal things, what the person buying it is doing doesn't concern me, but it's outrageous how much paintings sell for and I'm trying to wrap my head around things.

>laundered money to avoid outrageous taxes, by buying paintings at auctions and letting them sit them being able to write them off or some shit?
In the US this isn't money laundering, it's a legit business expense in many cases.

taxes are paid when the art is sold, so they didn't avoid anything. There's no law against a business buying assets and writing them off. The sale just has to be declared if or when it happens.

I'm currently in the motions of selling two pieces of art I inherited off my grandad, turns out their full on old master paintings stolen out of some Nazi castle that could literally be priceless, feels good man. Considering quitting car sales and going into art dealing for the ridiculous commissions

Hello pals, I'm looking for a good Australian broker to trade shares online. I won't be investing much (couple thousand maybe) so I would like for the fees to be pretty low. I also don't want to pay monthly fees. The most popular seems to be commsec, from what I've seen online but there's a lot of positive and negative reviews for it.

So /biz/, anyone know a good broker?

>>1775211
I don't know man, tbqh I think all us small timers are going online with commsec or similar. 19.95 per trade. They also have a pretty good deal we're they'll invest in 6 aussie blue chips for 66 dollars brokerage, minimum 4k investment.
>tfw 45,000th in line for robin hood beta in australia

Commsec is good, easy to set up relatively, good value.
>>
>>1775211
Interactive Brokers are pretty cheap, although they arent an Australian broker.

The big 4 are about as Hebrew as it gets with their fees. Its fine if you have long time horizons but short term trading is detrimental to your account in regards to (((fees)))

> I'm 23 and fresh out of college, have only been working 8 months. I effortlessly found an easy job in my feild making $42k a year. I used to want to make 200k, and be powerful, worldly, fit.
Here's the problem: I'm just so fucking cozy. I sleep in till 10:30 am because I make my own hours, I have enough money to do everything I want to while saving $500/mo and paying my loans off years early, I have a beautiful gf. I honestly have no motivation to lift, to get a promotion, to work extra hard to make more money. I stopped teaching myself things on the side, I drink practically every night.

How do you deal with the fucking comfort? It's insidious! Even now I'm drinking wine by my fireplace in my cheap apartment and can't bring myself to do anything truely meaningful. Is it just laziness? No one prepared me for how fucking chill adult life is.

I am a 21 year-old college student (graduating soon) and have ~$15k in my bank. I have no debt, work part-time in retail, and still live with my parents. I want to invest some, not all, in something that will generate a positive return (hopefully quickly) and is relatively low risk. Any ideas?

Also a thread for general questions about investing, I suppose.

>>
>>1775017
Seeing as you are about to graduate, that money is needed for the short term. If you already have a job waiting for you, then invest. If you don't have a job waiting, then you need to keep that money for job searching. Searching for a job is the best way to invest at the moment.

I am graduating with an AA in Computer Information Systems and am thinking about working for a big company like Charter of Spectrum. Start out as an installer or sales representative, and work my way up.

I plan to move to Idaho where it's dirt cheap to live up there. l live in southern California right now, and l absolutely hate it here for every reason imaginable. lf l moved to ldaho relatively soon, l would buy something really cheap, pay it off relatively quickly, and continue living there while l pocket my paycheck every month.

Hi /biz/

I live in Australia and my wife is Chinese. I want to start a small home business that she could run from home while also caring for our Children.

She is fluent in English, Mandarin (she can also speak Cantonese pretty well).

We are already in a god financial position, but if we could make a small business that earns a few thousand a year then all the better.

I am obviously thinking import/export but we don't have any experience. Whats something easy to start with and then grow?

whatever you do, don't do dropshipping
>>
>>1774948
check out the dropshipping general. seems like the perfect opportunity, as your wife could do the Han-Haggle with the sellers and maybe get good prices & shipped how you wanted instead of just accepting the advertised price.

chinese people are often advertising imported goods on weixin which their friends then share to their friend circle. think about what is needed for your family, your community and in general around your area.

i get the jist from the media that aussie women would be into the 'healthier' side of chinese food like teas, chinese medicinal food like jujube, goji, red beans etc. you'll find that all in aussie cities, but there is opportunity if you look at what chinese, japanese & maybe especially korean and taiwanese (as they've the most in common with western women) put into their health and beauty regimen.

if i were you i'd look into ingredients to add nutrition to smoothies/waters. i live in china and i will do this when i return to my home country. there is a decent list of items which you could sell that are popular in china but not in the UK, so presumably not Aus either. it's for you to find out, but i think you're wife should know where to look.

I don't mean to get into political analysis on a business and finance board, but how can I invest based on the French election?

I purchased the iShares MSCI France ETF (EWQ) betting that Fillon would win on a pro-business agenda. Now that the corruption scandal has made the election a lot more contested, how can I play a Le Pen or Macron victory?

France is basically a 3rd world country. They just don't know it yet, but (((the market))) knows. I would not invest anything in that country at all when it depends on political results.

This is a county in seriously heavy decline with no sign of stopping.
>>
>>1774833
macron will win and he will boost the french economy, so invest in the CAC40
especially tech and pharma stock
>>
>>1774833
Granted I know nothing about forex, I would think that LePen winning would make the euro decrease in value

Im sure this gets posted all the time and i cant believe there isnt a sticky. What kind of pos board is this?

How do i get into stocks? Ive got about 4 grand floating around and I've nothing better to do with it. It isnt a major sum of money but im a student and i dont have a job so its as much as I'm likely to get anytime soon. I figure stocks would be a kind of fun little endeavor and i could make a few shekels off it. My question is though, how do i set about doing this? I gather i need a broker but are there any recommended sites which can facilitate this?

Save up some more. Then Vanguard Index Fund.

If you actually want to make some money get an FHA loan, put a down payment on a 2-3 family house, pay the mortgage/maintenance with rent, if the house appreciates use a 1033 exchange to move up to a better house.
>>
>>1774830
I have literally 0 income. I wont be able to save up more until i leave uni and get a job. I should note, these are britshekels so its what, 5k in ameribuks? However, it does mean im in the UK so i wont be getting a federal loan.

I had a quick look at vanguard, it says you only need ~$3000 to start an account.

What you've learned certain words and phrases mean in the real world.

>I'm an idea man.
I'm happy to bullshit and take credit, but I don't pull my own weight or actually do any meaningful work.

>This is a startup environment.
We're here to live it up on the investors' money without really trying to run a viable business.

>We're looking for real go-getters.
We're looking for people who are willing to do the work of higher paid people with the expectation of a promotion that will never come.

>This is a highly competitive work environment.
Plan to screw the company and bail before someone cans you for becoming a threat to their job.

>We're looking for someone experienced for this entry level job.
Are you related to someone? Know someone? Fucking someone? If not sorry, position reserved for someone who is.

>We are committed to delivering quality.
Our shit is cheap, if it were actually quality then our work would speak for itself.

>I need a headcount on who's actually working (task).
I'm about to cook numbers to try and make myself look better.
