Why didn't anyone tell me about this hidden gem of a career path?

>mid career, econ major, 130k per year
>fortune 200 company
>low stress work environment
>75% women, half are young and hot or sex-starved milfs, 15% are gay dudes, 10% straight guys
>fucking KILLING it on the poon game

I'm fucking love it. Been here a few years after working in finance. Fuck that noise. Why didn't anyone tell me HR, the technical/math part, was so based? Literally no competition? Everyone wants to move up to soft-skill positions leaving guys like me plenty of mobility up the ranks. It seems like easy mode for corporations.

In my experience HR people don't make that much, and don't get a whole lot of respect from colleagues or the public.

And isn't it a conflict of interest to date your colleagues? If you're making 130k you have to be in some kind of managerial position.
>>
>>1768252

Was this is a b.s. econ major where you took stats/econometrics classes? What position/field are you specifically in. Finally, what was your entry level job like and was it easy to get this job or did you have to network for a bit.

Thanks
>>
>>1768261

We seem to get a lot of respect. Some people seem afraid of us.

There are no rules about boinking people in the company.

I am not a manager, yet. My manager makes 200k. I'm probably one of the highest paid HR employees that isn't a manger though. I am pretty much in charge of the technical details of mergers and acquisitions for HR, and travel a lot. Previously I was making 80k as a benefits analyst.

>>1768262

No just a BA. You were required to take statistics, and I did take econometrics and a lot of finance classes. Looking back I should have double majored since it would have only been a few more semesters of classes. . . I guess I specialized in global trade, as that is what fascinated me the most.

Entry level job was basically data entry in supply chain at a decently big company that I had an in at. Aced the interview, gave the job 100%, learned extra stuff when I had free time that impressed my boss and then aced the interview at my current company.

TFW you have great ideas for:
- A book
- Website

TFW you ALSO are married and part of the 2015 ashley madison leaks. Even though you created an account just to browse one bored night many years ago... if you potentially gained fame from a book or blog you could be potentially exposed.

Let that be a lesson to you crazy kids. Wage cuck forever...

So, I have an idea for a business with fairly low risk of failure and I am a 28 year old.

The business is not really a good business for getting rich, requires odd work at odd hours, but it will provide me a fairly decent life with income that will probably increase as I age.

I was thinking about moving to a poor country like Philippines or china temporarily, and hiring a sexy assistant to help me crunch numbers, before I go full bore into the business (approximate pay would be $700 a month).

I really don't need help, but it would be nice to take a vacation and order a beautiful woman around, before I make a 20 year commitment to becoming the customer's bitch 24/7.

I just want a really hot girl to flirt with me and let me play boss for a month or two, to get it out of my system, and maybe have sex with her or her friends.

I just want to feel rich and powerful, but not pay huge amounts.

I could try the assistant and maybe marry her or at least feel very powerful during the interviews / trial work days.

Could I get into any trouble in phillipines or china for discrimination based on age, sex, attractiveness, or harassment?

The company would be based in usa anyways, and have 0 customers in phill...

Just an excuse to have some power over models hungry for cash.

get a hooker and save $500 a month
>>
Or you could save up your money and take the occasional trip to the philippines or whatever shithole for some sexy time

No, I want a clean girl that will make me tea.

She wont even have to have sex with me, just flirt with me. I can make 5 different girls do trail work days too... More power...

Jewish tricks? No, and please refrain from the antisemitism! Robinhood graphs are just shit and only show you an average, not-really-realtime price. To get Bid/Ask prices and important things like candlestick graphs, you should use a more robust platform.

> How is it free?
"People" invest your settled funds when you're not using them, just like banks.

Are you aware how small this community is? Better to try stocktwits or r/wallstreetbets

Not being approved in 3 days seems to be the new norm. Nevertheless, call/email their support if you've been waiting more than that.

> Where can I get better charting or bid/ask?
Real brokers, like TDAmeritrade's thinkorswim. Otherwise you should be using stockcharts.com, finviz, or a non-pile-of-shit for your graphing in addition to Robinhood.

Hi Guys,

I'm 27 from the UK and after years of working in the Finance and Customer Service sectors I'd like to have a change in career.

My girlfriend works in Human Resources and had suggested the Health and Safety industry as a good one to look into. Decent pay, prospects and pretty process driven.

I've done the research and know that at minimum I need a NEBOSH NGC qualification. Something which is quite daunting if you've not had experience in a Health & Safety role before.

I've booked a REHIS one day introductory course to Health and Safety in March at a local college. Having not had a lot of hands on experience I figured a small introductory course would be a good start.

Assuming the one day course goes well and doesn't put me off. I was then going to look at booking an online course for the NGC.

Just looking to find out if anyone else has done something similar? Or if anyone currently in a Health and Safety role could offer any advice on how best to break into the industry?

Thanks

No experience being on a building or construction site.

But have experience working in the manufacturing and warehouse sector. It's this area I'd look at for jobs if I got the NEBOSH NGC. I've got a few contacts and plenty of opportunity in the area I live.

There is an NGC for Construction and Building sites for someone looking to do H&S in that area. Personally I don't want to do H&S in this sector as I haven't any experience on that sort of site.

Can i really make 200$ a week by buying shitty cheap products from China and reselling them? Can I get more detail on this?

Set up an ebay auction for something and over-value it massively and have them buy it.

Here's the real genuis part: You actually send them the item.

that's definitely some good shit that i'll do
Some time ago I transfered around 40$ directly on an account of mine and then onto another.Result was the guy opening dispute with the first account where the money no longer was.
He won the dispute but I kept the money on my 2nd account lol.
But that was just 40$
Can paypal or the person's bank do anything about it if I get their whole balance or something?

Hello /biz/, I need some financial advice for my near future. So I've decided I'm not going to college. No way I'm not going to enslave myself for 4 plus years with a lot of debt for a worthless degree. I will be graduating High School this year when Summer rolls around. I've taken Carpentry classes throughout high school, and I'm very interested in carpentry. Not only because it's fun, but the pay is good, and trade jobs are always in demand. I'm going to be graduating High School with a STEM diploma along with a regular high school one, and I'm registered in OSHA with a ten hour training safety course. My question is, what should I do when high school ends? I want to work in the trades, specifically carpentry, but I'll be open to anything trade related. I live in the South, so that may give some extra details. Unions aren't huge down here. What would be the best course of action for me? I'd most likely be a gopher, hauling stuff from A to B, but I don't care. I want to have a great job with great pay, a future, and if i'm lucky, early retirement. I know that will be hard to do, and I don't wanna cliche, but I'm willing to do it. Suggestions/advice for anything in my position?

TL:DR Need advice to get a trade job fresh out of High School this year. Screw college with a 80,000 dollar pole.

go through the phone directory looking for construction contractors. There should be about a thousand. Call them up and ask if they're hiring.

This can work, for many going in person is even better. If you're not a sperg, can keep normal eye contact, have a firm non-sweaty handshake, and can shoot the shit you'll be working fine

Let's say Universal Basic Income was introduced tomorrow at a level that was just sufficient to cover your basic needs (no need to argue autistically at this part, but lets say $1000 per month for rent, food and essential bills). How would this change your life? Would you be more willing to take risky behavior, with regards to investing, starting up a business, etc.?

I see people suggesting it would increase stability, but I can only see it encouraging risk taking.

At the moment someone earning $2000 a month earns double that of someone earning $1000 a month. He earns extra due to more hours, harder work, higher skills etc.

With the income, now they are at $2000 and $3000. They are both nominally richer, but the reward:effort ratio has become worse for the harder working guy. This would cause many people to do a little cost benefit analysis in their head about whether it is worth it.

And that's before we account for the inflation a mass rollout such as this would cause. Rich people would be mostly unaffected as always, with their money in assets and real estate, and them purchasing higher quality products which would be less affected by the lower-end inflation. What this would lead to is a mass transfer of income from the middle classes to the lower classes.

Do you mean true UBI as in everyone gets one set amount? Nothing extra for anyone else?

What about cripples that need a lot of care? Do they just end up less than they need to survive?

If you answered yes, then its not UBI and you have just described the system we currently have

DEFINITION of 'Super Bowl Indicator'
An indicator based on the belief that a Super Bowl win for a team from the American Football Conference (AFC) foretells a decline in the stock market for the coming year, and a win for a team from the National Football Conference (NFC), or the old National Football League (NFL) before the merger of NFL and American Football League (AFL) in 1966, means the stock market will be up for the year. The Super Bowl indicator was first introduced in 1978 by Leonard Koppett, a sportswriter for The New York Times.

Over the Super Bowl’s history, the indicator has been right 40 out of 50 years — a whopping 80% success rate. It’s lagged a bit of late, though. Since 2000, the indicator has been right 12 out of 17 years — a 70 percent success rate. After being correct seven years in a row, 2016 defied the prognostication — the AFC’s Denver Broncos won the Super Bowl, but the stock markets posted yearly gains.
