What degree should I get biz?
I was thinking Finance, Economics, Business/MBA.
What is you're opinion?
>>1774741
Finance, Economics or a combo of the two. Minor in something statistics or compsci related.
t. Bill Gates
>>1774741
Learn fucking Python and Excel, you could easily fall into a trap of doing frat parties and drunk and laid for 4 years in a Economic degree. Don't forget to have these skills.
>>1774741
Assuming your uni offers both, go with finance, if not then econ and take as many finance courses as you can. A few classes in compsci is good too
>>1774955
The CS majors I know are so overworked they party hard every chance they get, I wouldnt say less than econ
definitely less than humanities majors though
>those days when your retailcuck job feels more humiliating than usual
>tfw binge almost everyday and getting fatter (I'd be a blimp if I didn't to to the gym)
REEE, it's so humiliating. I keep failing graduate job interviews because I'm an autist. I do a brainless job at a work environment where obviously everyone is a normie but me. I have to work during evenings and see Chads and Staceys before they have nights out. It's incredible how work ruins my days when I have less than 18 hours per week.
I have squandered over 600 days since I graduated like it was nothing. Not once have I worked as hard as I could (on learning programming or something constructive).
It's so fucking easy for everyone else to simply do a zero work arts degree and then get interviewed by their clones.
cheer up buttercup

Try R9K
lol I'm literally taking "General Studies" because I don't even need to go to class and it lands me a degree in three years. Shits too fucking easy and it's actually fucking depressing seeing people try so hard in school. That shit doesn't translate to money.
The fact that I did door to door sales for a month makes a me a more viable candidate for any sales position than a fucking piece of paper.
2% of the population are sales inclined. 2% of that 2% are actually smart enough to learn how to cultivate their talents and through work ethic, make fuck loads of money selling anything.
It all comes down to what you did in highschool.
I haven't decided my college major yet, but I know I want to have a fuck ton of money.
My parents have always struggled with finances their entire lives. Mom has over 20k in credit card debt, over 50k left on the mortgage and she's already in her 60's, dad doesn't have any debt but he has less than 10k to his name.
I have 28k and plan to go to college but don't know what to major in.
>What's the best major to give me financial freedom?
Something in the medical field I would guess.
That or create a successful business or become a famous celebrity.
Statistically several forms of engineering, accounting, a couple of business sub-disciplines, and international relations if we're just talking bachelors.

What about a master's degree?
What is your opinion on Satoshi Nakamoto?
>>1774620
His real name is Nick Szabo
>>1774625
i sincerely doubt that. the nsa behind bitcoin is more plausible than that fagget.
>>1774625
You can tell by looking at his work, his blog is available on blogspot if you google "szabo best".
A text analysis of the bitcoin whitepaper gives nick szabo a 99% probability of being the author. And most of his previous papers are contributed to by 2 others hal finney and wei dai. the bitcoin whitepaper is "satoshi nakamoto" hal finney and wei dai. And his other papers are all nick szabo hal finney and wei dai.
Also the first recipient of a bitcoin transaction was hal finney nick szabos best friend.
There is enough circumstantial evidence for me to say that nakamoto is szabo.
And if you look at the ethereum devcon1 videos the hall is packed out for nock szabos talks, and is only half full at best during other talks.
The ethereum denominations are called finney and wei and nick szabo was a contributor to the ethereum whitepaper.
When you suggest this on bitcointalk the oldfags will close ranks and troll your thread they are all trying to protect nick because he wants to remain anon.
Praise be to Monero - god tier anon crypto!

How are tips taxed? And in reality, how much of tips are actually reported as income and not poccketed?
>>1774517
Depends on the company and how the transaction is made (cash vs. card). Of course you are legally obligated to report tips as income, but if it's just cash in your pocket every night then you don't need to. Larger companies will be more strict about this.
>>1774527
>Larger companies will be more strict about this.
Nope. Worked for one and they don't care. The rule in the waiting industry is as follows:
Say you made at least min wage.
They don't care how much gets reported (Though credit card tips are automatically reported) as long as they don't have to pay you more than tip wages.
Was she the fall guy?
Yahoo was eating dick way before she took over.
Yes and no. She was meant to be the fall guy but she was able to reshuffle the board of directors enough to stick around past her intended expiration date. Someone else was meant to take over after the transition and re-branding, but she stuck around because she can play the game. I'm interested in seeing what she does next.
Despite what /biz/ says about her, the financials actually improved, the stock price went up, and she organized the sale to verizon even though the company has jack shit. Despite her numerous flaws and mistakes (which to be fair, Yahoo was known for before), she did her job very well.

How do I become motivated to do well at my job?
I have a decent white-collared cubicle job. Make decent money. Get decent benefits.
But lately I've become so unmotivated at work. I can't seem to give a shit to make some asshole's dreams come true through my sweat and labor. And it's effecting both my work performance (as I've been making more mistakes in my assigned projects) and just my soft skills (in other words I'm not too friendly while there anymore).
I'm worried that eventually they're going to pink slip me if I keep this up. Every work day, I try to go in there with a positive attitude, but I always wind up so unmotivated 1 or 2 hours into the day.

see a doctor.
might be low testosterone, might be depression, might just be you picked the wrong job. Your doctor should be able to find out what's wrong.

I guess. I just don't see how someone can do this for 40+ years.
Hey /biz/ hows the job hunt? I'm trying to get an internship but I'm always striking out. CS btw
I keep getting the same shit from recruiters. They always say come back next year when you're closer to graduating. Am I just too desperate or something
If it's an hr lady I can usually hold my own and keep the conversation going cause I just start shooting the shit with them but when it's a ln actual male recruiter I have no luck. I know they're just trashing my resume. Any tips

Hello. I am a /pol/ack, and I realized that politics isn't really the way to success. I realized that business, finance, economics is the way to success.
Someone give me the /biz/pill or give me some suggestions on things I should read to get me /biz/pilled.

buy high
sell low
>Get stable economy
>make good moves in busnes, investment or memecurrency
>profit??
In my view, you have two choices
Work a job with the highest pay you can get, save and invest as much as you can, and retire early.
OR
Forget a job, start a business, and grow it as big as you can.
Given the rise of self driving cars, should we invest into creating johnny cabs?
>>1774243
yes

That's only possible if Uber goes public.

Are you a third world anon who wants to escape poverty?
Do you have an idea for a local business that you can get started with a small (~$1,000 USD) investment?
Are you willing to work hard and smart, and share an equity stake in that business?
I'm looking for anons to help start a business in their home country, I've been working with another /biz/nessman I met here to help him set up a cyber cafe in Brazil, and if you have a good idea, I want to help you too.
What's in it for me? I make cool international friends, help provide services to areas that need and deserve investment, and I get a share of the profits when the business is up and running.
If you're interested, post a summary of your business idea and a way for me to get in touch with you (I recommended a throwaway email account) and if I like your idea I'll contact you and we can talk about next steps.
Looking forward to some strong contenders (and the laughably retarded ideas I'm sure will be posted in here too), good luck
