What do you think about amd?
Personally I bought some stock in September and just got rid of it yesterday. I Honestly cant tell whether theyre entering a growth period or not. It has so much potential for long term holdings.

You have done alright. In the next month or so, we might see a bit of a pull back in price, but this stock should continue to trend upwards
Support around the 12.50 mark. Buy back in then when hit. Thank me later
What is /biz/ opinion on stock trading?
>>1816833
A lot of /biz/ believes they can get rich buying penny stocks, and have lots of moronic arguments for why this is true. Many also believe there is a strategy to winning the lottery.
The reality is that trading tends to be a losing game for anyone not extremely well funded, and even those people don't have a high success rate.
>inb4: Nu uh, not me, but this guy I know makes millions trading memestocks

I'm up 73% since March but I can see why low IQ individuals unlike me would struggle to beat the market.
>>1816880
This. Im up 95% since last february.
You have to be a real dumbass to actually LOOSE money. Like geniunely fucking retarded.
>im down a dollar, better sell everything at a loss
I know it's super unprofessional to quit without notice, but I've been working at Walmart for less than three months (my probation period ends March 1), and I am ///not happy/// at all there. Shit is starting to affect my life outside Walmart, and I can't have that happen right now with school and my other job.
I'm planning on going over this afternoon and just handing in my badge, and walking out never to return. Is that an okay way of doing it? Or do I have to wait out another week until my three months are up? I really don't want to give notice and have this go on for longer.
Any help would be much appreciated. I'm in Canada, if that changes anything. Thank you

It's fucking Wal-Mart, nobody gives a shit
He fell for the "2 weeks notice" meme.
You're not a slave. You're free to walk out on a job anytime you like. Giving 2 weeks notice is just a courtesy and is only important if you intend on using your employer as a reference for your net job. Personally I'd e ashamed to admit I worked in Walmart so a reference is no good in your situation anyway.
I know how you feel. My 90 day period ends March 15th and I will get a huge pay raise, but I fucking hate working here. I know that once I get that raise, my parents will force me to live on my own. Then I will be trapped with bills and rent and can't afford to quit or go back to school or anything. It's been making me really stressed out lately. It's either quit and lose the highest paying job I could possibly get around the area or keep working and be miserable for the rest of my life.
I'm thinking of just sticking it out for as long as I can living frugally and saving. Then just pack up and drive to wherever the road takes me. I've done it before when I turned 18 but I was only gone for 7 months. This time I will be more prepared.

shopify has better apps/themes, plus it has Oberlo which does half your work
How can you tell if you're actually good at trading or just in a bull market?
I ask this because I've been trading crypto for a couple of years and I'm up over 2000%
I read about how so many people think they're great traders in a bull market but lose everything when the market turns.
I'm thinking maybe trading crypto is now like trading tech stocks during the dot-com bubble.
OP, I don't think you're lying. I honestly think you're just too stupid to correctly calculate your returns. You're literally too stupid to roleplay.
Great thread, btw.
>>1819030
I started with 1 bitcoin and now I have almost 20. That's 2000% right?
If I'm talking USD value it's more than 2000% due to the rise in BTC price.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
>>1819035
shouldn't that be 19x ?
Are vanguard Index funds really the "safe" way to go? even now?
It just seems like the market and almost all indexes are higher than theyve ever been, much higher than 2008 levels...
But I want to sink like 5k into some slow and steady gainers and dividend stocks to add some stability to my current portfolio(3k in /biz/ meme stocks mainly GLD, ORC, AOBC, CEFL and OHI )
What I lean toward is putting it in bonds that beat inflation until a market correction, then buying in low once it bottoms out. That's considered to be trying to predict the market by a lot of people though.
The best time to invest is yesterday. Today is close enough. The market will crash in the future, but from what point will it crash, and what point will it rebound?
Don't know the answer? Nobody else is good at forecasting those either, so invest away.

What is the best way to short the S&P?
SDS is what I was gunna go with because 3x leverage is kinda risky, and no leverage will be to low of profits

Oh and look....another one...
"Hacked"
So one day I suddenly developed illusions of grandeur and saw myself wearing a dress shirt and slacks, sitting at a computer in a fancy home office and trading stocks online. Holding a cup of coffee in one hand and a 30-lb dumbbell in the other, doing some half ass curls while laughing manically at how much money I was making. So I decided to look into stock trading, but the thing is I'm actually a college drop out and have less than $1,000 capital to invest with. I am completely lost. Anyone have any advice on where to begin?
>>1818267
No, you must fail so I may succeed.
>>1818267
you can begin at r9k

Purely vanguard index funds, spread pretty evenly, my only adjustments being how much I add each week to each fund (9 funds total, small, 2 mid, 6 large)

Posting on here for help
Working as a teacher. Luckily in the UK Maths teachers are always in demand, £20,000 tax free stipend if you train as a maths teacher, and then it's an easy if boring job for life, 6 week summer holidays, 2 week christmas holiday, 2 week easter holiday, and 3 other 1 week holidays.
If you can get into a private school then the holidays are even longer and the pay is better.
Actually considering it now because it seems such an easy path to take and so much free time

My last resort was Wal-Mart, and I ended up doing it. Worst fucking job ever. Literally cleaned those public restrooms that most of us dare not use.
Now I make more than the cuck managers that fucked with us everyday and I'm half their ages.

-You just bought Bitcoin at an all time high
-You feel good your on the winning team
-You can't figure out why volume has basically crashed
-You keep seeing big red candles
-You come to /biz/ for reassurance that the moon shot is around the corner
-You get that uneasy feeling you are about to be a big bag holder and start to think about altcoins that are guaranteed to lose big when the bubble you just realized pops
What is this, coping olympics?
mining up thousands of easy coins from a bunch of altcoins and just holding them until one of them might make it is a legit strategy right?
