Personally I bought some stock in September and just got rid of it yesterday. I Honestly cant tell whether theyre entering a growth period or not. It has so much potential for long term holdings.

A lot of /biz/ believes they can get rich buying penny stocks, and have lots of moronic arguments for why this is true. Many also believe there is a strategy to winning the lottery.
The reality is that trading tends to be a losing game for anyone not extremely well funded, and even those people don't have a high success rate.

I know it's super unprofessional to quit without notice, but I've been working at Walmart for less than three months (my probation period ends March 1), and I am ///not happy/// at all there. Shit is starting to affect my life outside Walmart, and I can't have that happen right now with school and my other job.
I'm planning on going over this afternoon and just handing in my badge, and walking out never to return. Is that an okay way of doing it? Or do I have to wait out another week until my three months are up? I really don't want to give notice and have this go on for longer.
Any help would be much appreciated. I'm in Canada, if that changes anything. Thank you

You're not a slave. You're free to walk out on a job anytime you like. Giving 2 weeks notice is just a courtesy and is only important if you intend on using your employer as a reference for your net job. I know how you feel. My 90 day period ends March 15th and I will get a huge pay raise, but I fucking hate working here. I know that once I get that raise, my parents will force me to live on my own. Then I will be trapped with bills and rent and can't afford to quit or go back to school or anything. It's been making me really stressed out lately. It's either quit and lose the highest paying job I could possibly get around the area or keep working and be miserable for the rest of my life.
I'm thinking of just sticking it out for as long as I can living frugally and saving. Then just pack up and drive to wherever the road takes me. I've done it before when I turned 18 but I was only gone for 7 months. This time I will be more prepared.

I ask this because I've been trading crypto for a couple of years and I'm up over 2000%
I read about how so many people think they're great traders in a bull market but lose everything when the market turns.

Are vanguard Index funds really the "safe" way to go? even now?
It just seems like the market and almost all indexes are higher than theyve ever been, much higher than 2008 levels...
But I want to sink like 5k into some slow and steady gainers and dividend stocks to add some stability to my current portfolio(3k in /biz/ meme stocks mainly GLD, ORC, AOBC, CEFL and OHI )

So one day I suddenly developed illusions of grandeur and saw myself wearing a dress shirt and slacks, sitting at a computer in a fancy home office and trading stocks online. Holding a cup of coffee in one hand and a 30-lb dumbbell in the other, doing some half ass curls while laughing manically at how much money I was making. Working as a teacher. Luckily in the UK Maths teachers are always in demand, £20,000 tax free stipend if you train as a maths teacher, and then it's an easy if boring job for life, 6 week summer holidays, 2 week christmas holiday, 2 week easter holiday, and 3 other 1 week holidays.
If you can get into a private school then the holidays are even longer and the pay is better.
