Thinking of selling audio equipment from Japan to people in the West, but don't know where to advertise that. What are some good sites to host adverts?

I was thinking about something net-based.

Guppy's books are a good place to start. You can find them dirt cheap on ebay
ITT we discuss ecommerce and the ways you're making money online. Acceptable discussions are about advertising, Facebook targeting, products, fulfillment, store software (Shopify, woocommerce etc)
What are you doing /biz/?
Personally I own 3 ecommerce stores doing $2.5 million per year in total revenue, after all ad costs netting around 20%. All based on Shopify currently, testing Magento for my largest.
are you selling products you made yourself, or reselling stuff? I'm not really familiar with how shopify works.
>>1818111
Reselling stuff. Alibaba

Primarily drop shipped. Other people ship it I just send the order to them
Just landed a job at Blackstone. I am still in college. I will be earning 125k starting salary at the firm when I graduate. AMA

Congrats on the offer! A PE gig straight out of university is amazing. How'd you position yourself to get an offer? I'm about to enter my last year in undergrad, finance major in a strong Ivy target. I've got great internships under my belt (boutique M&A, VC and HF) but my GPA is shot to shit (under a 3). How are my chances realistically?

I went to lunch with a division head. We talked, and I am a big follower of art and philosophy. Turns out he was also. On top of that I have good financial skills. This is not as much about grades as you think. Networking is HUGE. Look at mergers and inquisitions for networking advice.
You're chances aren't great just sending your resume to places. They won't know who you are REALLY. Get to know some people in high up places within private equity. Do lunches, talk about things that interest you, not just finance.

Why the fuck are you posting on this awful board?
Are you surrounded by no-men?

Yes.
>>1817711
Undoubtedly yes
Is this a viable idea for NEETs?
>>1817463
Nah, but it might be a viable idea to arbitrage labor.
>>1817463
i read on glassdoor that three hours of work will get you three dollars, so no.
>>1817463
The tests to get in are apparently very hard now, did it for a little bit but its like 33 cents per audio minute and if you are really fast and audio isn't shit you can do 1 minute in 3-4 minutes. Not really worth it but good for extra money if you have no hobbies or something. Might be good if you're countries currency is cheap because it pays USD.
Hi I'm DefCat, I know some of the people that browse this board often so don't crucify me if you already know me...
SITUATION: I'm moving out with my GF this summer and want to have enough to live comfortably (no shit everyone does)
I'm a musician and I currently sell my own music and take commissions for youtubers. I've done a full game OST but it really wasn't that lucrative.
Here is my discography: https://defcat.bandcamp.com/
WHAT DO NOW? :
I'm trying to figure out what the best way to make money using my skills here would be. I can do any genre and I work fast.

>I can do any genre and I work fast.
Apply at Mc Donalds
If your girlfriend wants to go in business with you, you could pretty much double your income. You each suck a dick for a dollar at the same time, all of a sudden youre making two dollars in the same amount of time it would take you to make one on your own. Plus, you could save on costs like travel if you carpool.
>>1817349
Listened to a couple tracks. Not bad. You need to hook up with someone that can do vocals though. No vocals, and music goes nowhere pretty quick.
Technically pretty good though.
As for money, plenty to be made in production, recording, various sound careers. I would look to assist at concert venues, for bands, for tv/film production. Check out those entertainment websites where you can post a profile that you do that kind of stuff.
If you get in with the right production or mixing crowd you should be able to earn 20+ per hour.
Check out those technical schools for music production, maybe ask some of the professors or staff if they know of work you can seek using your skills.
Good luck.

It's a sink or swim system, it's designed to quickly wash out normal headstrong people and retain slavegrunts who will lick the company's boots.
It's actually not always a bad strategy. But it's a short term view and is typically for companies that won't last 20 years.
>>1816810
What, you expect your employer to feed you with a silver spoon next? If you don't get training provided ask other people who work there for help, retard.
Not googling, asking /g/, or asking /r/cscareerquestions because they're all politicized to hell and give you biased shitty answers and ban you if you make them upset by mocking their sacred cows. The worst one is google, because you constantly get spammed with "STEM shortage" articles.
I have worked for 10 months, basically part time remote, to make this app for this guy. I answered an add on craigslist. My GPA was 3.1 when I took the job and I couldn't get into coop, mainly because I'm doing school remotely. He didn't even ask about my GPA. Now, this isn't really a formal job arrangement. He just gives me specs, and then I go figure out how to code it. He's happy with the app I have produced so far. I'm probably going to put it in the store before summer. He wants to charge quite a bit for the app. I am pretty much his Pajeet.
Here's the bad part. I'm working for free. Now it's true that I don't need the money because I live with my parents, but it would be nice to not have my bank account constantly overdrawn if I make a major purchase. I bought a new computer over Christmas, and I still haven't zeroed my debit card completely. I applied at all of the big 4, IBM, and local companies that are subsidiaries of the big 4. None of them gave me any attention. This was before I took the job from this random guy.
So guys, what the fuck should I do? This is going to drag on forever. I thought this would be a nice summer project, but the app ended up requiring like 100,000 lines of code. He still wants to add more shit, and I'm going to graduate in the summer. I'm pretty sure I got memed into a meme degree. There is no STEM shortage. If there were, I wouldn't be working for free in the informal gig economy. There are days when I get out of bed so I can add him on LinkedIn eventually. I am working for a fucking LinkedIn contact. I hate being a millennial. He hasn't even paid the cost of my licenses for the app stores, and he said he would.

Temporary foreign workers, bootcampers, and open source programmers have driven wages into the ground. I don't know a single CS grad who has broken 50k.
It's an awful degree and the career has no entrance barrier.

How many of you guys actually work in an office/cubical? Does it really make you want to kill yourselves?
I'm thinking of getting a entry lvl office job. I've only worked in retail, so I was wondering how the transition is gonna be like.

I work in a cube. Its not bad. My job is easy so I use most of my time studying for my CPA. Hopefully will use that to get out of the cube farm. Some people I work with love it because they are dumbfucks that are fine with being average.

Going off personal experience and what I hear from /k/ and various forums, ammunition can become scarce at times, especially before an election.
Is making ammunition something worth considering? Seems like there's a demand not being met.
>>1817778
Try again in 8 years. Demand is low because nobody expects Trump to ban anything anytime soon.
>>1817780
Except the news. And imports. And credit unions.
>>1817784
Fuck off libtard
Trump banned none of those
Are bank robberies profitable at all? My research indicates that the average heist only nets about $7k-$25k, but that seems ridiculously low. Is this bullhonkey? If so, what other forms of robbery are more profitable?
>>1817717
>but that seems ridiculously low
That's because banks don't keep that much money.
>If so, what other forms of robbery are more profitable?
None. Don't do it.
