When will facebook do what kijiji and craigslist are doing and put an end to BYBs advertising their 'purebred with no papers' puppies.
I already submitted a report, but due to limited options and not letting me explain whats wrong, facebook thinks I submitted a report for 'graphic violence' on an animal.
This sucks.
Every shitty person is now migrating from CL and Kijiji to Facebook because of this.

I hope no one actually pays attention to her. BYB should be taken more seriously across social media.

Too late.

Also, just found this here:

I bought a dog without papers once. Only once. You can't tell for sure when they're puppies, but as they get older you can start to see how poorly maintained their bloodline is. How the breeding stock was not chosen to bring out good traits. By the time you notice, it is far too late.

I love my dogs, but I have gotten for more misery out of the dog without papers. She costs $4000 more than my other dog in the 1st year do to health complications, and her behavior is still erattic to this day. It is impossible to cuddle with her because she can't sit still, and she "flops" whenever she lays down which is... impossible to explain. She is the only reason we can't let the other dog have full-roam of the house. He can handle it just fine, but she can't leave stuff alone and will eat everything.

Just ... a bad situation.

I wish this is the kind of story that would appear on TV. I don't want to hear about what Donald Trump tweeted at 3 AM. I don't care that Hillary Clinton wore a red dress instead of blue. I don't want to know who Kim Kardashian is endorsing.

People need to know about toughie.

if crows were to have appendages (fingers) that were better at using tools, would they be on the same evolutionary track as humans were twords civilization/high intelligence?

So, no. It was not our fingers or our brain that made us what we are now, but rather our fingers, big brain and a combination of other characteristics and conditions

Crows are generally selfish, greedy, and uncooperative (especially outside their mate)solitary -for the most part- animals.

Most likely, they would be up to Neanderthal intelligence, but mainly on how to exploit other creatures on their own or offspring.

I have a pretty large tank for my leopard gecko that is pretty barren so I want to spruce it up some. I was thinking about adding some fake succulent and silk plants like you get at craft stores.

Assuming there's no paper and bare wires, are these plants more or less reptile safe? Is there any concern about a leopard gecko ripping them and consuming them? Or perhaps a gecko licking water off them after misting? Will they become moldy really quick in a humid cage for like a crested?

If you'd like to share some pictures of your terrariums that would be great too. Just tell us if it's planted or fake.

>>
just stack piles of slate, fake plants are ugly and plants in general look off in leopard gecko terrariums.
>>
Not a gecko, but I have craft store fake plants on my turtle's basking area, and one resin decor with silk plants in the water. The craft store is fine provided you clean them and make sure there's no exposed wires or take them out if they have any.

The resin plant in the water is tattered after my turtle tried (and failed) eating it.
>>
Yes they're safe as long as they don't have and glitter or sparkles or whatever other garbage craft stores like to put on them. Wash with soapy water and double rinse. Let dry before putting in tank.

It's a German Shepherd? Try saying "Nein" instead.
>>
I have no idea if this is recommended or a bad idea but what I did was rub my hands with a stick of butter.

I'd shove my hands near my pupper's face and she would lick off the butter.

Eventually she would lick my hands every time I put them near her instead of nipping.

There are probably better methods but it worked for me and I went from having a very nippy little dalmatian to a dog who hasn't nipped/bitten in the last 5 years I had her.
>>
The generic thing is when you are playing and he bites your hand, you make a loud, sharp yip noise, stop playing, and ignore him for a minute or so.

Would someone please tell me what my puppies have? We think it's parvovirus but I'm not sure. The sclera (white part of their eyes) are more outer than their actual iris. Please don't say go to the vet because I know but the owner of them doesn't want to take them yet. I just need someone to actually tell me what is happening to them so I can persuade the owner into taking them to the vet ASAP

It's parvo.

They're slowly, painfully dying.

Take them to the vet.
>>
>>2236150
The entire litter probably has parvo.

Its 2000-5000 per dog.

Everything is fucked anon. You can tell them to take them to the vet, but treating an entire litter for parvo is insane.

Florida here. Some old people, temporary residents, "snowbirds" we call them...just cut down a tree. A tree that housed an osprey at the very tip top for as long as I can remember. An osprey I would watch with a small telescope every morning. And every evening, I would sit on my roof and watch the sunset, and off in the distance, the osprey would be watching too. This tree was the only natural thing I could see from my window, other than the rest of the roofs in crappy mobile home neighborhood. I noticed it was gone today, and walked by the house...It didn't fall down. They cut it. They cut it for no reason.

Ruined an ospreys home. While I was walking, searching for the tree today, the osprey was flying over me, and we were both thinking the same thing. "Where the heck is it? It was right here!" He's still flying...confused. And I feel like shit. Confused.

I knocked on there house and asked why they cut it, and they said for visual purposes. I told them it's illegal to mess with an osprey's home. Being the ponytail, long-beard, bicycling, athletic, musician, bird-watcher that I look like, they told me "Why do you care about a good for nothing bird" and to "hit the road and get off muh property..."

I just...idk...I feel like I'm powerless. Not that I want power. But these old people were so selfishly defending their decision. The osprey lived there longer than they have! Am I in the wrong here? What do I do?

And why do humans destroy for no reason?

>only pic i have of tree. other birds sneaking while osprey is looking for food. had to hold telescope in front of camera lens.

Call fwc on their asses, all US native birds are protected, and ospreys are a definite bird the US wants to protect.

Also, fuck snow birds, as a Miamifag, I can honestly tell them to go to hell.
>>
>>2236110
>>2236098
I did a quick search, and this article isn't from a place where ospreys aren't found year round.

The article states that if the nest was not active, and not in harm's way, it can be removed. Now I'm trusting you on this OP that if the osprey was at the nest at the time of the cutting, and you have proof, call both the DNR and the FWC right away.

http://www.eyeonannapolis.net/2015/05/osprey-nestlings-may-have-died-when-homeowner-cut-tree-in-eastport/

This is incredibly illegal and the snowbirds can get in a lot of fucking trouble with this.

Godspeed OP.
