What would you do if you caught someone abusing a helpless animal?
>>2239558
Knock that fucker down and get the fuck out of the crime scene.
I live in Mexico. I can get away with it.
>>2239558
Call the authorities
Anything else and I'm liable to get in legal trouble myself
Lethal force is also illegal when regarding animals, at least in AZ, you can just physically interfere and protect the animal I suppose
Do a 360 and walk away
Post obscure doggos.
>The Šarplaninac or Yugoslavian Shepherd Dog, is a dog breed of the livestock guardian type named after the Šar Mountains in the border area between Kosovo[a], Macedonia and Albania. It is a molosser-type mountain dog. The origin of the breed is uncertain, it may have come from Asia in the prehistoric era.

So 5kg worth of supermarket tier petfood should be enough for a two-week transition to the better food right?
Also could you recommend me a brand that is Taste of the Wild tier, as in high quality but cheap and not as rich as Acana/Orijen?
>>2239298
cat? dog? other?

doggo
why not taste of the wild?
if you have a tractor supply co, 4health grain free is pretty good.
different size doggos eat very different amounts, so depends.
>take my dog outside to shit
>notice this opossum outside
>scream at my dog to get inside
>opossum never moves
>get my dog inside and go back outside
>make a noise and toss a twig at it
>shuffles 7-9 feet over and starts walking in circles
>does this for 10 minutes
>I walk up to within 2 feet of it
>it just looks at me
Do you think I should put the thing down? Or is it just opposums being weird, I'd really hate to kill it but I also don't want it to needlessly suffer. I live in a rural area about 30 feet from the road.
leave it alone, opossums are friends!
>>2239278
They're just weird.
Leave it alone. It can't hurt your dog and they eat ticks.
>>2239278
only 1 pct of possums captured test positive for rabies, so dont even worry about that
I'm getting this cutie soon, she got rescued recently, was found with her mom tied up outside, on the cold, i hope i can give her enough love to make her forget about it.
Anyways, i suck with names, could /an/ help me out?

Quick question: I want to get a cat but not sure if my apartment is the right environment for one. It's a smallish studio loft apartment with no windows. Is this an OK place for a cat? I am home a lot of the time because I'm in school but just worried the lack of a window is not good for keeping a cat.
Also the only way up to the upper level is via a ladder, could I get one of those tall cat tower things so that he/she can climb up to me when I sleep?
>>2239253
Yes but not a kitten. Rescue an older cat.
>>2239260
>Rescue an older cat.
Oh yeah that was the plan. I live in a city so lots of shelters. Wanted to get an older cat, something I don't have to worry about at night since I sleep somewhere that is probably not accessible.
get a cat tree and it's okay. I agree that an older cat would be better.
tbqh I don't think that's an OK place for a human.
I found this birb sitting next to a gate being completely apathetic and took it home after it didn't move for at least an hour (it didn't even try to get away when I picked it up).
At first glance it seems to be a seagull (of which we have quite a few crossing the country ATM).
I've tried feeding it sugar water, cat food and catfood mixed with bread but so far it seems not interested (likely due to the shock).
It flew across my room (and into the ceiling) when I tried to relocate it into a shoebox filled with birdsand, so obviously it's capable of flight already.
It bloodied it's head a bit, but its behaviour doesn't indicate a concusssion.
ATM it's sitting in a box filled with birdsand and has food ((dry cat food+ chunks of bread) mixed with water) and water next to it.
Any suggestionsvon what to do next? I've handraised several abandoned ravens before, but never a seagull.
Normally I'd release it after a few days, but since it's a migratory bird it's flock will have moved on already, so releasing it would mean certain death for it.
>>2239188
um what kind of seagull? that looks nothing like the ones in the US.
>>2239190
I'm from Germany, so I guess it's whatever kind of seagull lives in the north sea.
how sure are you that's not a dove
>but since it's a migratory bird it's flock will have moved on already, so releasing it would mean certain death for it.
total nonsense
So I was just at the a pond and I saw a duck swimming all alone on a cold October evening, is that normal or has the duck been left behind? I don't know much about ducks but it made me feel sad, there were also little bits of garbage floating in the pond around it which made it seem even sadder. I don't know maybe it's fine and I'm worrying about nothing.
You're probably reflecting your own human emotions on a careless duck
>>2239139
yeah you're probably right.
>>2239133
It's not that uncommon where I am. I know for a fact that ducks can have different personalities. I'm sure that ducko just likes his own company
Can I keep a tank without a heater/filter? How can I do this? What can I put in it?
Recently my male matured Asian forest scorpion died, so I have an enclosure empty, (4 gallon one)
What can I add to it without using a heater/filter? Or better yet, should I move my tarantula into the 4 gallon tank and use the 10 gallon tank instead? What can I add to that and how can I maintain it?
The reason I don't want to buy a heater/filter is because I already have a fish tank, (pic related, I have a bit of algae and its not completed but it's been running up well for months)
It's just that now that I have a chance to have another aquarium I'd like to if possible, but only if I can safely have some animals in it and I'll spend minimal costs. I'm fine with sticking to shrimps or a few small fish and doing often water changes, idk about heating
Basically I know the basics about keeping a tank but I dont know how I can go about doing it without equipment, if I can't I won't but any tips or advice would be appreciated
tanks get nasty after a while with no surface agitation. you can get an air pump and sponge for real cheap though.
>>2239136
I thought about that too. If I find those two things cheap would it be around $15 together? Thanks for your input

I can get wanting one of those red foxes that are being domesticated in Russia, but a Fennec Fox? They're completely wild. Owning a wild snake seems fine since they don't really do much but a fox is something different. People probably expect a dog or cat from a Fennec but they just seem loud, easily scared, and devoid of affection.
Turtles are pretty shitty pets for your average person, yet they are frequently sold in pet stores.
Common species like RES get pretty big and need massive tanks as adults. They also require very clean water and a varied diet. People never expect their growth and effort though, proceed to keep them in tiny tanks while feeding them only store bought pellets. This shitty care then frequently leads to all kinds of health issues like shell rot, pyramiding, vitamin deficiencies, etc.
And not to forget their lifespans. A turtle could be a comittment for the rest of your life.
hybrid wolves.

This right here. And people have the nerve to complain about pitbulls.
what the fuck are these bastards and why are there 10 fucking million of them flying around my god damn face and monitor nonstop for like 5 months straight?
i cleaned the fuck out of my house 100 times over making sure there is no food or garbage anywhere, not the sink drain or stove tops or fucking anywhere
so ok i go to the store to buy this fucking thing and sure its got like 20 of them but theres still like a billion left. i almost think the killer thing is just attracting more into the house or something.
i have never ever had such a problem with bugs in my entire life
are they not fruit flies? double check that there's no foodstuffs lying around your house and probably wipe down most if not all of the surfaces for sugars and shit
idk senpai
>>2238733
They could be drain flies, and yes that thing could be attracting more into your house.
Clean your drains and disposal
Phorid flies.
There's something somewhere they are breeding in.
You're favorite creature pictures. Oc only.
I found this thing outside my store. I tried spraying it alittle to see what it would do. It has claws on the front and a stinger it pushed out after I sprayed it. What the fuck is this thing?
>>2238553
giant water bug
>>2238553
Do you mean that white thing that that looks like its squirming out of it? Because that would probably be a horse hair worm, which are a group of wonderfully nasty parasites.
Also, next time please upload a more focused picture, that shit's real hard to see.
looks like bigfoot. take this shit to /x/
Should I let my puppy win when I play tug of war with him?
>>2238494
Depends on if he's stronger than you or if you get bored first. Sometimes I'll drop early on a puppy if I'm concerned about their teeth.
